Jeongseon Arirang Festival

This festival takes the theme of ‘Jeongseon Arirang’, a variation of the Korean folk song ‘Arirang’, which was developed in the Jeongseon region. The Jeongseon Arirang Festival was started to preserve the ‘Jeongseon Arirang’, an intangible cultural asset, and to pass along its culture to following generations.One of the festival’s main events is a performance of the famous ‘Arirang’ folk song, and there are many other events and programs. In addition, there is a folk market called the ‘Jeongseon 5 Day Market’, which opens every five days, where visitors can experience the lively bustling atmosphere of a Korean folk market and purchase agricultural produce at low prices.Nearby famous tourist destinations include the rail bikes, Gangwon Land, and more.

Homigot Sunrise Festival
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Pohang-si)

Homigot, the main venue of the Homigot Sunrise Festival, is located on the easternmost point of the Korean Peninsula. Homigot means ‘village on a tiger’s tale’ and is also the location for the first sunrises in Korea.The festival includes local cultural performances, a New Year celebratory event, fire show, sunrise concert and other diverse performances. Visitors may sample free tteokguk, a traditional New Year’s Day dish, during the special event of ‘Serving tteokguk for 10,000’. Other events such as kite-flying and launching hope balloons with wishes attached will provide enjoyable moments to reflect on the previous year and create new year resolutions.

Jeju Seosara Culture Street Festival
Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , Former Jeju

Seosara Cultural Street Festival is held along the Jeonnong-ro Street which is covered with big cherry blossom trees and cheongsachorong, traditional Korean lanterns made with red-and-blue silk shade. The views at night with the cherry blossoms and the lights of cheonsachorong are picturesque. There are diverse events like walking along the cherry blossom road, a painting contest, photo and video contest, balloon making, making traditional knots, and more.

Seoul Rose Festival (서울장미축제)

The festival takes place every May in the area of Jungnang-gu where thousands of roses blossom to form a 5.15km-long rose tunnel. Haeundae Sand Festival

This festival takes place at Busan’s beautiful Haeundae Beach, an extremely popular summer vacation spot. The festival’s program is full of events inspired by the beach’s beautiful white sand. 2018 PyeongChang K-pop Festival
Seoul(Guro-gu)

The Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are sponsoring the 2018 PyeongChang K-pop Festival for foreigners at Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome on the evening of September 8. The line-up will include hallyu stars like SHINEE, BEAST, Wonder Girls, Boys Republic and more. Other activities of the festival include a special stage, hallyu drama experience booth, photo wall, gift event and more. Samcheok Maengbang Canola Flower Festival
