Busan(Seo-gu)

The city of Busan served as a temporary capital during the Korean War. Seo-gu, the heart of Busan, especially had an important role, as the government and legislature offices as well as the presidential residence, were relocated to this area. Refugees from all over the country gathered to Busan during the war, sharing pain and comfort with one another, and also created Busan's unique scenery, "Sanbokdoro Road." Busan Night Tour includes exhibition and experience programs that take visitors on a tour around the remains of Korea's modern history, including the Provisional Capital Memorial Hall, Temporary Capital Memorial Street, Government Headquarters of the Temporary Capital (currently Seokdang Museum of Dong-a University), areas of Ami-dong Tombstone Cultural Village, and more.


Gyeonggi-do(Gwacheon-si) , Seoul Grand Park

Seoulland hosts a fun and exciting water festival each summer betwen June and August, centered at World Plaza. The festival features performances, parades, and water fighting games involving visitors and cast members alike. At night, enjoy the beautiful lighting show and night performances. ソウルランドでは毎年6月末から8月までサマー・ウォーター・フェスティバルを開催しており、2016年は6月25日(土)~8月28日(日)まで「cool サマーフェスティバル」として開催されます。イベント期間中は、水鉄砲を打ち合い対決するアトラクションや夜間公演など、さまざまな催しが企画されています。    


Seoul(Jung-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

A unique flea market full of artistic flavors is coming to one of Seoul's most renowned attractions at Seoul's fortress trail near Jangchung Gymnasium. This neighborhood boasts a fantastic city view over Korea's capital city, and holds a valuable heritage and history dating back over 600 years. Visitors to this place will learn both modern and historical aspects of the city through casual hiking along the trails, as well as browsing and experiencing the locals' many talents and inspirations.  The event will cover an area of over 1,000 square meters, starting from Jangchung Park and Shilla Hotel in the Namsan area. People interested in the arts, performances, and other related exhibitions will be able to enjoy all of the programs along with natural attractions available at the venue. Visitors will also have a chance to try wooden crafts and art programs using traditional Korea paper, called hanji.


Busan(Haeundae-gu) , Haeundae

A multitude of festivals are held amid the bustling city of Busan in October. One of these is the Busan One Asia Festival, a music festival showcasing not only Hallyu stars, but also Asian culture as a whole. The festival is not just limited to k-pop, but features artists and styles of all genres and aims to be the new face of Hallyu festivals.


Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

Chucheon Animation Festival is host by Chuncheon Animation Museum to celebrate the success of domestically created animations, featuring contests, creative animations for the opening ceremony, a 3D movie festival, product consultations, and other events.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Namhae-gun)

Held annually in October, German Village's Oktoberfest features exhibitions related to the history of the South Korean nurses and miners who went to work in Germany in the 1960's and 1970's. Those who moved back to Korea were instrumental in the establishment of German Village.Visitors can try German food and drinks such as beer and sausages, enjoy German cultural performances, or participate in beer-related games, and competitions.


Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Seoul City Hall・Gwanghwamun

The Gwanghwamun International Art Festival is designed to increase public knowledge and appreciation for the arts and culture. In addition to the art exhibitions, visitors will also be able to enjoy various performances and try different kinds of arts and crafts such as ceramics, silver handicrafts, leather handicrafts, and  more. The festival is also making a continuous effort to deliver more exciting programs and activities for the visitors' enjoyment.


Incheon(Seo-gu) , Incheon Center

Jeonseojin district at Ara Incheon Passenger Terminal on Gyeongin Ara Waterway will hold the Jeongseojin Sunset Festival, an event open to all who wish to enjoy the glow of the setting sun on the western sea.The festival is held on December 31 and includes a pre-ceremony performance, countdown to the sunset, concerts, fireworks and more.


Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

The National Folk Museum of Korea will host an event in celebration of Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day), featuring abundant hands-on programs, exhibitions, and performance perfect for enjoying Chuseok with full of joy. The event prepares 44 different programs including seasonal customs, folk games, traditional art programs, various folk performances and more, to make a special and memorable Chuseok holiday.


Seoul(Seocho-gu) , Gangnam・Samseongdong(COEX)

Arts Council Korea is to host 2016 ARKO Contemporary Orchestra Music Festival for Yangak (Western music) on January 26, 2016 at 20:00 at Concert Hall of Seoul Arts Center, lead by Choi Suyeol and played by Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra. ARKO Contemporary Orchestra Music Festival (a.k.a. Achangje) tries to find up-to-date art pieces reflecting Korean composer’s innovative creativity and plays a big role in creative Korean music. First performed through Achangje, the performances are again performed at other locations nationally and internationally, including European countries.These music pieces are sure to be cherished for many years by audiences.
