Chungcheongnam-do(Seocheon-gun)

The Seocheon Camellia Octopus Festival will be held in Maryang-ri, Seo-myeon, Seocheon-gun. Visitors can enjoy the sight of blooming camellia flower trees and fresh caught baby octopus from the West Sea. Various events will be held such as baby octopus fishing, a Seocheon retrospective photo exhibition, local agricultural product sales, music performances, and more.


Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si) , suwon

The annual Suwon Theatre Festival features diverse shows showcasing contemporary theater and events including an exhibition, vocal performances and citizen-led programs. The festival offers participants the opportunity to step into a historic space in the city of Suwon. The venue also features creative decorations using materials from recycled vehicles, tires and fabric. Individuals and families will be able to enjoy the range of events at the festival, located at a UNESCO World Heritage site.  


Gyeonggi-do(Paju-si) , Paju(Heyri Art valley)

The theme of this festival is ‘soybeans’, a health food that has long been popular in Korea. In particular, the ‘Jangdan Soybeans’ produced in the Paju province have always been highly regarded for their taste and outstanding nutritional value and were even served to the king. Furthermore, in the early 20th Century, the 'Jangdan Soybeans’ were designated as the most superior soybeans in Korea and were distributed throughout the country.During the festival visitors can taste the soybeans and learn how to make dishes made from soybeans including tteok (rice cakes), tofu, and preserved soybeans.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

'Buncheongsagi (a grayish-blue-powdered celadon)' is a type of ceramic ware used during the 15th and 16th centuries, during the transition period from Cheongja (green celadon porcelain) to Baekja (white porcelain). This Korean-style ceramic ware has received high acclaim for the simplicity of its beauty. This festival takes place in October every year in Gimhae, Korea’s most famous ceramic village. This festival sells this special ceramic ware, such as tea cups, made in the traditional methods with discounts of up to 30 to 40%. Visitors can also watch the ceramicists making ‘Buncheongsagi’. Furthermore, there are other programs that allow you to make your own ceramics or even write and draw your own artistic imprints on ceramics.


Seoul(Gangnam-gu)

The Giva Week (also known as Ginkgo Virus Alley Week) is to be held for the 2nd time, following last year's success. The event was originally organized and started up by the business owners of shops in the streets of the Sinsadong garosu-gil, to promote sales and make the place an attractive tourist spot. The aim is to develop hidden attractions that have recently been shaded by many franchised stores as well as make it an ideal place to shop, eat, and sight-see, as well as enjoy street performances. Many talented aritsts and shop owners will gather to hold various events and program, with amazing discounts and free gifts to be awarded. With the help of Solon Company, the Korea Tourism Organization, Visit Korea Year Committee, Tripvi Ltd., and regional offices, the event expects to draw in more attention and visitors than the previous year. Locations for events are various, being spread throughout the Sinsadong garosu-gil area, where the streets are lined in many Gingko trees. Visiting many of the charmingly decorated coffee shops, designer stores, boutique-like galleries and much more along Garosu-gil is a romantic way to enjoy the beauiful autumn foliage in Korea.


Gangwon-do(Hongcheon-gun)

Organized by Hongcheon-gun and Hongcheon-gun Festival Organizing Committee, Hongcheon Winter Festival is held near Hongcheongyo Bridge in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do. Every year, the festival has a different theme, with activities that include trout fishing, playing in the snow and on the ice, ice sledding, and more. The Yangju Snow Festival will take place at Art Valley in Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do.During the festival, the venue will be filled with snow-white artworks as it also transform into a snow playground for the whole family to enjoy. 


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Bonghwa-gun)

Bonghwa’s song-i mushrooms (pine mushroom) are regarded as a special delicacy, they grow only on the very best types of pine trees called ‘Chunyangmok Pine Trees’. They can be stored for long periods of time. At the Bonghwa Pine Mushroom festival, visitors will be able to observe the mushrooms in their natural habitat, and get the chance to harvest them. They will also be able to sample various alcohols and specialty dishes made from the delicious pine mushroom.


Chungcheongnam-do(Nonsan-si)

Ganggyeong Salted Seafood Festival is known for its freshest and finest quality, which is made with recipes handed down from from generation to generation, retaining the unique, authentic taste of salted fermented fish.All the ingredients are imported directly and prepared in modern facilities. Today, the market accounts for half of the nation’s total sales of salted seafood.The Ganggyeong Festival has grown to become a major industrial festival in Korea, and originally started off in an effort to boost local economy and enhance the fish market merchants’ incomes in 1997 when the IMF financial crisis hit the nation. Salted fish merchants made the festival in a large-scale, getting bigger and better each year.Especially since 2007, the festival has changed its official title to Ganggyeong Fermented Seafood Festival. The festival has in the spotlight and has now established itself as a healthy fermented food item in the world food market, breaking away from the notion of being simply salted, preserved food.


Incheon(Ganghwa-gun) , Ganghwado Island

Ganghwa Icefish Festival is managed by the fishery community of Hwangcheon Reservoir in Naesu-myeon.
