A beautiful and mysterious valley located 12 km up the Donggang River, Eorayeon Valley is renowned for its clean waters and for the many fish that inhabit it. The valley has beautiful rock formations and a dense pine forest were designated as the No.14 National Scenic Spot in December 2004. It is one of Korea's most popular sites for rafting, followed by Naerincheon Creek and Cheolwon's Hangtan River. The trail to Eorayeon by way of Jatbong Peak is also quite popular (approx. 3 hours).

Access

From Seoul to Yeongwol
Central Express Bus Terminal (Subway No.3, Exit No.1) → Take a bus to Yeongwol (90min. / Departures from 06:30 to 20:00)
Dong Seoul Bus Terminal (Subway No.2, Gangbyeon Station) → Take a bus to Yeongwol (2 hrs. /  Departures from 08:00 to 19:00) From Yeongwol to the valley
At Yeongwol City Bus Terminal, take the city bus headed towards Munsan-ri and get off at Munsan-ri (30 min.). Walking to Eorayeon Valley (1 hour).
l. Hours of Operation: 6:20 am / 8:30 am / 1:00 pm / 3:30 pm / 6:00 pm
* Only 4-wheel drive vehicles may enter from Seopse to Eorayeon Valley. Taxis only take you to the entrance, so you must walk from this point.
