The Wanggung Five-story Stone Pagoda is located on a hill about 2 kilometers south of Wanggung-myeon in Iksan, which is believed to have been the capital of the nation during the Mahan Era. The pagoda stands tall at 8.5 meters and was officially designated National Treasure No. 289. Relics from the Goryeo Dynasty that were found inside the pagoda were designated National Treasure No. 123 and are currently housed in the National Museum of Korea. Of the excavated relics, the most famous; the Sarijangeomgu, a magnificent container of Buddha’s Sarira; the green glass Sarira bottle topped with a lotus-shaped stopper; and the Sungeumgeumganggyeongpan, which contains the 19 golden plates of the Diamond Sutra.

Located 1km north of Baneojin, Ilsan Beach is a fine-grained sandy beach that is 600m in length, 40-60m in x_width, and 26,000㎡ in total area. The water is relatively shallow at 1-2 meters in depth and holds an average temperature of around 21.2 degrees Celsius. Every July, there is a beach festival and in just a few months a beachside amusement park will be opening up to the public. Ilsan Beach offers various amenities and is surrounded by accommodation facilities, allowing for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Nearby tourist attractions include Daewangam Park and Hwaam Boat Trail Mark Management Center, which has a lighthouse exhibition center and the highest lighthouse observatory in the area, giving visitors a wide-open view of Ulsanhang Harbor. Hyundai Heavy Industry is also located nearby.

In Mt. Nammangsan, there is a citizens’ park where you can view Tongyeong. At the top of the mountain stands a bronze statue of General Lee Sun-Shin built by the citizens in 1953, and Suhyangjeong Pavilion. Under the Suhyangjeong Pavilion, there is Citizens’ Cultural Center. Right under this center is Nammangsan Outdoor Sculptural Park.Nammangsan Sculpture Park was established to display the persistent works of 15 famous sculptors from 10 countries (Japan, China, France, Israel, Venezuela, etc.) who participated in the Tongyeong International Sculpture Symposium. It is also a popular spot for dates because this 30 square kilometer land has beautiful sculptures from which you can feel the individual taste of the artists.

At Sansawon, visitors may sample food (rice cakes, Sanghwa dumplings, pickled vegetable soaked in rice wine leftovers, rice punch) and beverages made of liquor and liquor ingredients such as suljigemi (rice wine leftovers) or nureuk (yeast). The museum displays over 1,000 historical documents on traditional liquor as well as liquor brewery devices such as yakteul, nureukteul, gyeobogary, and sojugori. Moreover, the traditional brewing process, as seen in the folktale 'Mrs. Kim's Brewery' is recreated using the actual tools and devices from the traditional brewing process. The museum also features the process and culture of Gayangju (homemade liquor) with puppets and dolls. Visitors will leave the facility with a deeper appreciation of the devotion of ancient Korean brewmasters and the art of traditional Korean liquor. At the Gayangju Class, operated by Sansawon, anyone who wants to know more about traditional liquor may have a chance to learn about liquor ingredients, liquor-related folktales, and the brewing process. You can even learn first-hand how to make traditional liquor. You may either take your alcohol home with you after the class or leave it at the museum and stop by for it later. *Grand open November, 1996

The Cerapia (Icheon World Ceramic Center) is an exhibition center of contemporary ceramic works that is run by the World Ceramic Exposition Foundation. The Ceramic Center has three permanent exhibition halls which feature around 500 contemporary ceramic works by Korean and foreign artists; and one special exhibition hall which features works done for the World Ceramic Biennale International Ceramic Workshop event.Seolbong Park, where the Ceramic Center is located, is a comprehensive tourist location. It includes Mt. Seolbong, Seolbong Lake, and the Sports and Recreation Park. Nearby tourist attractions include the Haegang Ceramics Museum, Icheon Hot Springs, Icheon Ceramic Village, and Icheon City Museum.

HerbHillz Sled Slope Park is located in HerbHillz, the biggest Eco-Theme Park in the country. With the winter season coming, Herbhillz is getting ready for its own special winter with safe yet thrilling sled slopes, Ice Valley, Snowman Square, Igloo Village, Santa Village, and more. The Daecheongho Natural Ecology Center in Chu-dong, Dong-gu, Daejeon highlights the natural ecosystem of the Daecheongho Lake, which was created by the damming of Geumgang River in 1980. Daecheongho Lake is the third largest lake in Korea and boasts a reservoir measuring a surface area of 72.8 square kilometers, a circumference of 80 kilometers, and a capacity of 1.5 billion tons of water.The Daecheongho Natural Ecology Center stands on a plot of land alongside Daecheongho Lake spanning 8,270 square meters; the building itself (B1-3F) measures 1,488.5 square meters. The first floor houses an event hall, a storage room, and a theater showing videos on the natural ecology of Daecheongho Lake. On the second floor, there is a folk history center and ecology center boasting specimens of fish, insects, and plants native to the lake. The third floor houses an environmental center where participants can learn about the importance of recycling and protecting the lake’s water quality. There is also an observatory from which to view Daecheongho Lake and an outdoor ecology pond, wildflower beds, a small zoo, a mushroom center, an insect center, and a forest classroom.

Visitors who take the Naejangsan Mt. cable car will enjoy a stunning view of the entire park, then after a 300m walk from the cable car terminus they will reach Yeonjabong Peak’s observatory. The cable car starts from the Mt Naejangsan Visitor Information Center and is operated year round from 6am to 5pm. Just like other berry farmers, Uncle Strawberry at first supplied his products to retail distributors such as markets, department stores and discount stores. But he decided to change that, and now he meets his consumers himself at his farmland and provide his berries directly to people. With no retailers in-between, Uncle Strawberry is now able to provide his best quality strawberries to his customers at a lower price. In 2006, Uncle Strawberry started to run hands-on experience programs in his farmland. Initially, there were only 8 of them, but now the number has jumped to 44. For years, Uncle Strawberry’s farmland has grown its berries based on all-nature and environmental friendly farming methods. Uncle Strawberry is a determined farmer who thinks providing best strawberries to his customers is most important. With this in mind, he is doing his best to grow high-quality and healthy strawberries by means using natural pest control, and his products are certified organic.    

The Children’s Gallery, located in Seoul’s ‘Northern-Seoul Dream Forest,’ was originally an art museum that underwent renovation in 2009 and converted into a gallery for kids to learn and enjoy.Located inside the park’s natural surroundings, children can experience the outdoors while nurturing their imagination and developing an appreciation for the arts. The two-story building has a unique design and an interior with floral accents, cartoon characters, and nature-inspired staircases to intrigue the minds of young guests. The second floor terrace holds a variety of unique, interactive exhibitions for children to learn beyond the classroom. A recent ‘rainfall’ theme had children wear raincoats and umbrellas underneath a man-made drizzle as part of the enjoyment. The museum also has a lounge, nursing room and other accommodations for family visitors. In addition, the facility was built with Eco-friendly materials throughout and the health and safety of youngsters in mind. In partnership with the Dream Forest Art Center, the gallery provides other cultural activities and events including music concerts and childrens’ plays.
