Pinx Golf Club is the first golf course in Korea to make the 100 Best Course lists compiled by US Golf Digest and UK Golf World in 2005. Extra care has been put into the landscaping of this golf club. The golf course makes good use of the geographical features that make each hole distinctively unique. Designed by the renowned golf course designer Theodore G. Robinson, it combines traditional concepts of a world-class golf course with new concepts of the 21 century. The entire course offers a view of the Hallasan Mountain and the ocean. Year-round play is possible, and over 30 centimeters of sand paved beneath the greens provide good drainage. The Songjeong Natural Recreation Forest is located at the foot of Gibansan Mountain (464.7m). The forest is filled with wild flora and fauna and is a habitat for many different wild animals like hare and roe deer. “House in the Forest,” the Songjeong Natural Recreation Forest’s accommodation for visitors, is made of all natural, eco-friendly materials such as red clay and logs. After crossing Yeonnyukgyo Bridge on the way to Anymyeondo, you may start to wonder, “Is this really the way to the beach?” Your journey to this beautiful little beach will lead you on a short drive past mountains, rice paddies, and through a small pine grove before you come upon the beach. Located in Pyeongchang-gun of Gwangwon-do Province, Baengnyong Cave is a 1.8㎞-long, natural limestone cave. Its entrance, located 10-15㎞ above sea level, is surrounded by rocks and was once accessible only by boat. In 1976, local residents expanded a small lane in the middle of the main corridor to allow easier exploration. Alongside Donggang River, the cave harbors mysteries of the past 500 million years including a piano-shaped stalactite, a huge stone pillar, and a stalagmite looking just like a fried egg. The cave was designated as Natural Monument No. 260 in 1979, and it also opened Baengnyong Cave Eco Experience Center in 2010. Visitors may also venture out to nearby tourist sites for trekking, rafting, and studying nature at Donggang Fresh Water Fish Center.

Founded by Suncheon City, Ppurigipeunnamu Museum displays the collections of Han Chang-gi, the founder of two renowned magazines in Korea. The collections range from the relics of the Bronze Age to those of modern times. Through the museum, visitors can catch a glimpse of the lifestyle and culture of Korea’s ancestors.

Located in Jangheung of Jeollanam-do, Cheongwansan Recreational Forest (천관산 자연휴양림) is located at the entrance of one of the five great mountains of the Jeollado region. Many people who love to climb the Cheongwansan go by the recreational forest. Cheongwansan is a rocky mountain with steep peaks. In the spring, red camellia flowers bloom, while in the fall pampas grass blankets the entire area, creating a spectacular scene. If you hike up this mountain you will able to see the Dadohae on the south coast. To the south there’s the Wolchulsan Mountain in Yeongam, the Jeamsan Mountain of Jangheung and Mudeungsan Mountain of Gwangju. On a clear day Hallasan Mountain of Jeju Island can be seen from across the ocean. The recreational forest is well-maintained and has many paths for a leisurely walk.  

Myeonangjeong Pavilion (Jeollanam-do Provincial Monument No.6) is located on the slopes of Mt. Jebongsan in Jewol-ri, Bongsan-myeon, Damyang-gun County. The pavilion was constructed in 1533 by Song Sun (1493~1583), who built it as a place for writing poems. After its construction, the pavilion served as a meeting place for scholars and intellectuals and was even frequented by Lee Hwang (1501~1570), a representative Confucian scholar who is pictured on the 1,000-won bill. The roof of Myeonangjeong Pavilion was originally made of reeds, straw, grass and other materials, which could not withstand the elements. After several repairs, the building was developed into the wooden structure that it is today. From the back of pavilion, you can see the mountain ranges and open wide fields; renowned scholars’ poems are engraved on the wooden panels that decorate the pavilion walls.  

Goseong-gun’s Hwajinpo Aquarium (화진포 해양박물관) is located in the Hwajinpo area of Gangwondo Province and consists of two exhibition rooms with one room featuring a total of 40,000 or 1,500 species shellfish including rare shellfish, crustaceans, coral, fossils and a stuffed specimens; and the other displaying 125 species of 3,000 fish living in fish tanks of varying sizes and shapes designed and equipped in accordance with the characteristics and habitats of each species of fish. There is a 300 ton overhead underwater tunnel on the first floor of the fish exhibition room. The second floor is home to the Ocean Beach and Beautiful East Sea Exhibitions; the Invertebrate Animal Center along with a 3-D Theater that shows films like "Hwajinpo Becomes a Lake", "Ocean Day", and the "Amazing Underwater Trip.
