The Seosomun Gate area, which is located outside Seomun Gate, is regarded as a sacred place for many Korean Catholics. During the 19th century, the church suffered persecution for introducing Catholicism in the country. A series of persecutions followed over the years, notably the Sinyu Persecution in 1801 and the Byeongbin Persecution in 1866. The memorial tower in the center of the park is for the 44 martyrs who died for their Catholic faith during the persecution. It was originally established in December 1984 and rebuilt on May 15, 1999. The tower consists of three granite pillars: the middle one is 15 meters high while the two pillars on both sides are each 13 meters high.

Apsan Observatory has been praised for being at true harmony with the city and nature, as well as the past and the future. The observatory, located in Daegu Apsan Park, is famous for its full view of Daegu spread out below. The observatory can be reach by cable car, operating in 15 minute intervals, or by taking a one-hour hike for the more active visitors.

The Korean-Chinese Cultural Center was built by the Jung-gu District of Incheon to facilitate mutual understanding between Korea and China by learning more on each other's culture, history, economy and society. Diverse performances are available, along with special exhibitions, Chinese cultural lecture, Chinese cultural experience corner, reading room on Korean-Chinese history & culture are put in place for visitors to enjoy while learning. In addition, on the weekends, Chinese language classes for Koreans, Korean language classes for Chinese, free moving screenings, and other variety of exhibits are also available.  

Nestled in Mt. Eungbongsan in Incheon Metropolitan City, Jayu Park was first called Manguk Park and then Seo Park as the Japanese power became stronger. During the colonial rule of Japan, there was another park called Dong Park (East Park), which was created and used as a shrine by the Japanese.  Jayu Park, or park of Freedom, has held its name ever since October 3, 1957 when a statue of General McArthur, who led the Incheon Amphibious Landing Operation during the Korean War, was erected at the summit of Mt. Eungbongsan. The park offers spectacular views of downtown Incheon and its surrounding mountains, the port, and the sea. The Busan Aquarium takes visitors into the exciting world of life under the sea. The aquarium covers an area of 36,000 ㎡ and is spread over 3 underground levels and one above-ground level with different sections divided into special themes. The underwater tunnel experience resembles a walk along the ocean floor with various sea creatures swimming above, serving as a popular attraction within the aquarium. The aquarium is home to over 250 different species of fish, algae, reptiles, and amphibians, including large sharks, turtles, seahorses, and more, for total of over 10,000 sea creatures.

Tourist Information Center (TIC), located on 2F of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Seoul Office, is open all year round, and provides a wide range of useful information and services to tourists visiting Korea regarding Korean tourist attractions, accommodations, food, and more in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese.In addition, tour-related brochures, such as travel guide books and maps are provided free of charge. The KTO Seoul Office also holds experiential cultural programs such as playing traditional folk games, sharing Korean names, and more. These programs are held all year round, however may be limited on some days of the events like Korean public holidays, therefore visitors are recommended to check the up-to-date information from the official website in advance. Visitors are also able to use its other sections open for all visitors, including a hall offering medical tourism and other complimentary medicinal services to foreigners, 'K-Star Zone' a hallyu experience center, travel agencies, and other facilities suited to the interests of tourists.

The Sanwoolim Theater Company is the only drama group in Korea to have its own exclusive theater. The theater company began with the staging of Samuel Beckett’s Nobel Prize winning play “Waiting for Godot” in December 1969. The director Lim Young-woong and the cast performers who had participated in this play co-founded Sanwoolim Theater Company. Since then, it has grown into Korea’s representative drama group by staging over 60 theatrical productions and receiving more than 80 awards over the years. Following the foundation of Sanwoolim Theater Company, company director Lim Young-woong and his wife Oh Jeung-ja built a three-story building with two basement floors near Seoul’s Hongik University at their own expense. The theater building was designed and constructed for theater-use only so that it may not be used for any other purposes. Hence, the exclusive theater for Sanwoolim Theater Company opened in March 3, 1985.

As one of the busiest streets in Busan, Seomyeon 1 Beonga is also known as the Art Street. It stretches over 330m (8m in x_width) connecting former Cheonujang and the LG Service Center.The street is bustling with life all day long, full of cafes, bars, and restaurants that offer delicious, but inexpensive food and drinks; naturally, it attracts many young people. Arko Art Gallery (formerly Marronnier Art Gallery) is located inside Marronnier park in Daehakno, where many youth flock. Daehakno is a place where many couples have their dates and is beloved by the artisans who use the area as a performance center. The Arko Art Gallery is situated in the partk. The Arko Art Gallrey was founded by the Korean Culture Promotion Department to flourish and enrich the Korean arts. Founded in 1979, when there were not many exhibition spaces for artists, it was a place of hope for many of them. With low general exhibit fees and relatively important self-planned exhibit openings, it became a place that contributed significantly to the development of Korean art.The exhibits taking place in the Arko Art Gallery can be divided into two. One is the General Exhibition and the other is the Planning Exhibition. Both of these exhibitions take place in the small gallery on the 1st floor. Since the exhibits are admitted through strict screening it is recommended that you just go and visit them. There is no admission fee. However, during August, repairs usually takes place. You should try to avoid visiting the gallery during that time or you should call and inquire about the opening times. On the 2nd floor there is a family café. There are six computers to use along with refreshments, so you might want to visit it as well. There are many other places to rest and drink along Daehakno street. While walking through Marronnier Park if there is a specific place you are interested in, just visit it. Wherever you visit, the place's unique atmosphere will be evident. During the Christmas season especially, you may not even find a vacant seat in the area. It is that crowded and popular.
