Cheongpung Land

Cheongpung Land is a theme park created in 2002 near Cheongpunghoban Lake (Chungjuho Lake) in Cheongpung-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do. The theme park houses three major extreme amusement facilities: a 62-meter Bungee Jump, Korea’s first-ever Ejection Seat, and ‘Big Swing,’ an experience in zero gravity. The facility also boasts the grand sight of water fountains shooting up to 162m into the air as well as a wide-open view of the surrounding landscape. One of the biggest tourist attraction in the area, the park is adjacent to other popular tour sites such as the filming location of the KBS historical drama ‘Taejo Wangeon,’ Mt. Geumsusan, and the National Park of Woraksan Mountain.

Eagle Valley Ski Resort Sledding Hill

Eagle Valley Ski Resort Sledding Hill (Formerly Sajo Resort) is situated in the central region of Korea and is easily accessible from all areas of Korea. It is located near Suanbo Hot Springs, a hot springs resort with crystal clear water and outstanding facilities. Other attractions in the area include Wolaksan National Park, Danyang Palgyeong (Eight Scenic Sites of Danyang), and Mungyeong Ceramic Art Village.The sledding hills at the resort have one slope that is 165m in length and another that is 120m in length. High-quality snow covers the sledding hills, promising a fast, fun ride.

Cheongju Intercity Bus Terminal

Situated in Gagyeong-dong, Cheongju (Chungcheongbuk-do), the terminal operates over 950 buses on 90 routes. Travelers are encouraged to plan in advance as seats are often limited for buses heading to the Chungcheong and Jeolla. Nearby the terminal are restaurants, pharmacies, a book store, and a large parking lot.

Daecheong Dam

Daecheong Dam (대청댐) is a multi-purpose dam consisting of a 72m-tall and 495m-long concrete gravity dam and rockfill dam. It is located where Daejeon and Chungcheongbuk-do meet. The observatory, located at Palgakjeong Service Area, offers a great view of Daecheongho Lake (대청호). A variety of fascinating items are displayed in the Water Culture Center (물문화관) on the left bank of Daecheong Dam. A nearby grassy meadow promises a relaxing and comfortable rest, while local delicacies such as freshwater fish stew and marinated grilled eel are a delight to taste.

Hwayang Valley
 
Chungcheongbuk-do(Goesan-gun) ,
Hwayang Valley, located 32km east from Cheongju, was designated Songnisan National Park in 1975.The vivid green mountains and clear waters make it a highly sought after tourist spot. The nearby Seonnyudong Valley, just 7km away, is also a huge draw for travelers.Hwayang Valley is composed of various shaped rocks such as Cheomseongdae Observatory, Neungundae Observatory, Waryongam Rock and Eupgungam Rock. Well-known statesman from the Joseon Dynasty, Song Si-yeol, visited the valley and wept for King Hyojong offering his final bow. This rock where he cried was then named Eupgungam Rock meaning ‘crying bow’ Rock. Waryongam Rock gets its name from its shape, which is said to look like a wriggly dragon. Cheomseongdae Observatory was used in order to forecast weather patterns.
