Located only 5 minutes from Cheongsong-eup, Dalgi Yaksutang ("yaksu" meaning "medicinal water") is one of the top three "Yaksus" in Korea in terms of water quality. Water springs out of 10 different places along the valley and collects at Dalgi Waterfall on Mt. Juwang. The water runs all year round; it doesn't freeze during the winter and flows freely even during the dry season or during droughts. Even though the water does not have any color and aroma, rice boiled in this special water become bluish and sticky in texture. The water is naturally carbonated and tastes like soda without any sugar or flavor; it contains minerals such as carbon and iron and is said to be effective against anemia, digestive disorders, and skin irritation.One of the major nearby attractions is Mt. Juwangsan National Park, which many tourists visit in order to see the park’s unique rock formations and waterfalls. The area near the springs is also known for its variety of restaurants specializing in Baeksuk (stuffed chicken stew that has broth made of medicinal water).

Yanggu Porcelain Museum (Formerly Bangsan Porcelain Museum) presents porcelain from the Bangsan area with various video clips to help take a look at the history of porcelain in the Bangsan area. Visitors can also try their hand at making porcelain from scratch!

The Jangseung Park on Chilgapsan Mountain is the largest preservation area for "jangseungs," the ancient wooden or stone totem poles that were usually placed at the village entrance to ward off evil spirits. It was established in May 1999 to counter the dwindling awareness of the artifacts, and houses some of Korea's tallest jangseungs (11.5m) as well as replicas of indigenous totem poles from across the world. Today, it continues to host the Annual Mt. Chilgap Jangseung Festival, and serves as an important site of Korean history learning.

Sinsido Island is the largest of the 24 islands in the Gogunsan Island Cluster 50 kilometers to the southwest of Gunsan. The cluster of islands (Sinsido, Seonyudo, Jangjado, Munyeodo, etc.) makes for such a breathtaking scene that it is affectionately known as the ‘Star Above the Lake.’ Sinsido, one of the most beautiful islands in the cluster, is located at the center of the Saemangeum Sea Wall connecting Gunsan and Buan. The sea wall itself is also a point of interest as it is the longest of its kind worldwide. To make the island of Sinsido even more tourist-friendly, the island government has systematically begun opening and supporting island “minbaks” (lodging facilities at private residences). While staying at one of these minbaks, guests can explore the island, visit the island’s mid-sized beach or go fishing. Although it’s possible to fish right off the rocks on the shores, travelers are encouraged to a rent a fishing boat in order to see more of the beautiful island scenery.

Heongseong Hot Springs opened in March 2002, and is a bicarbonate alkaline hot springs located at the foot of the Adapsan Mountain. Hoengseong Hot Springs Silk Road boasts picturesque rock outcroppings and an open-air hot springs that has an expansive view of the Thousand Years Wood of Adapsan Mountain. Hoengseong Hot Springs offers different types of hot springs for visitors to select and experience, including a red clay charcoal sauna, cold waterfall pool, daily event pool with a different theme every day and a paradise pool for couples. Mihwangsa, located in Dalmasan Mountain, Seojeong-ri, Songji-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, is considered as one of the most beautiful temples in the nation. Unlike other temple stay programs, Mihwangsa Temple Stay, which is a year-around program available from January throughout December, offers diverse options from a one-day stay to an 8days/7nights program. Udo Sanho Beach, all referred to as Seobinbaeksa Beach, is a white sand beach. The ocean here varies in colors from bright emerald to deep sapphire according to its depth. The view is so unique, it cannot be compared to the Mediterranean Sea, South Pacific Sea, or any other ocean view.

Hwaseokjeong Pavilion was built in honor of Gil Jae, a Goryeo Dynasty Confucian scholar who had resigned from his government post to train young scholars. Overlooking Imjingang River that flows from North Korea down to South Korea, the pavilion provides a good resting area dotted with zelkova trees.

Wolchulsan Spa is located five kilometers northwest of the town of Yeongam. The spa overlooks the beautiful scenery of Wolchulsan Mountain, the extensive plain of Yeongam, and Yeongamcheon Stream, a tributary of Yeongsangang River. The source of Wolchulsan Spa’s hot spring waters is red feldspar granite (elvan) that forms the aquifer column of Wolchulsan Mountain. The adhesive and purifying properties of the elvan removes harmful organic matter and pollutants, resulting in pure, natural hot spring waters. Rich in all kinds of minerals, dissolved oxygen, and far-infrared emissivity, the elvan hot spring waters are known to be effective for alleviating various ailments such as fatigue, neuralgia, rheumarthritis, skin trouble, and athlete’s foot. Various tourist attractions are located nearby, including the Wolchulsan Mountain, the reed field in Miwangjae, and Dogapsa Temple, so visitors can enjoy a good rest at Wolchulsan Spa after sightseeing.
