Seoul Center for Important Intangible Cultural Asset

Created by the government to hand down traditions and preserve important, intangible cultural assets, the center supports cultural masters in the training of their pupils and their efforts to promote Korean traditional culture to the general public.The center houses 8 groups that represent the music field. Serving not only as a training ground for those specializing in the arts, the center also seeks to reach out to the general public through regular programs and recitals. Musicians also participate in musical conferences, events and performances on a national and international level.There are 12 craft groups at the center that are directed by craft masters who have been designated 'Important Intangible Cultural Assets.' Craft groups host a number of training programs.Other special features of the center include the 'Pungryu,' a 147-seat folk theatre; the 2 or 3 story 'Traditional Craft Hall' with an open-run exhibition hall and planned exhibition hall; a shop selling the works of the artists; a seminar room; a training room; and a practical training room.

Stretching approximately 900m in length, Deoksugung Palace Stone-wall Road was Korea’s first successful attempt at creating a comprehensive urban space where both people and nature can coexist. Hwadam Botanic Garden

Hwadam Botanic Garden is an eco-friendly arboretum located within Konjiam Resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, a 40 min drive away from Seoul. In effort to revive the country's forest ecosystem, LG Evergreen Foundation brought in approximately 4,300 types of exquisite and domestic plants to form a forest park divided into 17 themes. "Hwadam" can be translated into "a friendly communication," a name given to the forest in hopes that the area serves as a mean for people to communicate with nature. While the forest is designed to offer an environmentally friendly atmosphere, the ecosystem and habitats of the forest are well-preserved, serving as a home to many living species.

Sangso-dong Forest Park

Sangso Forest Park is a public park covering parts of Maninsan and Sikjangsan Mountains in Daejeon. The entrance of the park is lined with sycamore trees, while the inside offers several promenades and mountain hiking trails. 'Four Seasons House' is located in Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul and features props, items, photos and sets from director Yoon Suk-Ho's four seasons’ dramas. Yoon Suk-Ho’s series [Autumn in my Heart], [Winter Sonata], [Summer Scent], and [Spring Waltz] are among some of the most famous Hallyu dramas and capture the theme of pure love through vivid cinematography. The basement and first floor of the Four Seasons House also house exhibits from other well-known dramas including [Snow Queen]. Outside exhibits include a re-creation of the proposal room from [Summer Scent] and a bench used in [Winter Sonata] and [Spring Waltz]. Guests must make a reservation online or by phone before visiting the Four Seasons House.

The Korean Children's Center, located in Neung-dong in the Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, has a many subsidiary facilities as well as its excellent snow sledding field. Jangchung Gymnasium is Korea’s first domed gymnasium and opened Februrary 1st, 1963. The gym holds diverse athletic events such as basketball, volleyball and handball competitions as well as boxing, wrestling, weight-lifting and ssireum (Korean traditional wrestling). The gym also presents other cultural performances and events including international competitions, concerts and madangnori. The Jangchung Fitness Club, is also located within the facility and offers monthly memberships.
