Chungnam Boryeong’s Oseosan Recreational Forest is located south of Oseosan Mountain. The area boasts magnificent scenery. The recreation forest area features a Water Park, a barefoot walk, a nature observation road, a promenade. Lodging facilities include Forest Cabin, Forest Lodge, and row houses.

Yanggu Prehistory Museum displays artifacts from the Paleolithic Age in Sangmuryong-ri, Yanggu-eup and the Neolith Age in Hyeon-ri, Haean-myeon, to teach visitors about Korean prehistoric culture in an up-close and fun manner.

The Songcheon-ri, Unsu-ri, Ipseok-ri, Susan-ri, and Bigeum-ri areas in Sudong-myeon, Namyangju City boast picturesque scenery with refreshing water flowing everywhere, for which the region is also widely known as “Mulgolan,” which means “inside water valley.” Opened in 1983, the park is surrounded by the mountains of Jugeumsan, Seorisan, and Chungnyeongsan. It is a great summer vacation spot with lush forests and clear valleys. The park is also abundant with many varieties of mountain vegetables and fruits including mushrooms, a type of mountain herb called deodeok, balloon flower roots, fatsia shoots, honey, chestnuts, and pine nuts.* Mongolian Cultural Arts Performance Group at Sudong National Tourist ParkMongolia Culture Town is a theme park that was established upon the signing of a friendship pact between the city of Namyangju and the Mongolian capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Opened in April 15, 2000, the 6,876 square-meter park consists of seven tent gers (traditional dwelling of the nomads in Mongolia), two carriage-style gers, and one exhibition hall. All of the materials used to construct the gers were directly shipped from Mongolia. The largest ger at the center of the park has an estimated 150 items from Mongolia on display including traditional clothes, horse saddles, accessories, household goods, and musical instruments.

Chusa Gotaek is the traditional Korean house of the renowned scholar and calligrapher, Chusa (also known as Kim Jeong-Hui). This old house is known to have been constructed by the great-grandfather of Chusa, Kim Han-Sin.The Korean-style house compound (266.11m²) consists of Munganchae (a guesthouse), Soteuldaemun (a high gate), Sarangchae (ㄱ-shaped men's quarters), Anchae (ㅁ-shaped women’s quarters) and a shrine where the remains of Chusa are enshrined. Theㄱ-shaped Sarangchae stretches for one Kan* to the south and 2 Kans to the east and is comprised of two rooms and a Daecheongmaru (living area). The Anchae consists of a six-Kan Daecheongmaru (living area) and two one-Kan rooms.Located on the ground is a tomb where Chusa’s great-grandfather (Kim Han-Sin) and his wife (Hwasun Princess) are buried. Nearby you’ll see a gate that was constructed to commemorate Princess Hwasun’s faithfulness to her husband.If you walk about 600 meters to the north of the old house, you can see a lacebark pine tree, which was designated Natural Monument No. 106. The lacebark pine tree, originally from northern China, is among the few of its kind in Korea. It is said that Chusa snuck the pine across the border from China (formerly, the Qing Dynasty) into the country when he was 25 years old and planted it at the tomb of his great-grandfather. Originally, the tree had three branches, but two were broken and the third branch was damaged. Dogo oncheon Station opened in June 15, 1922 as Seonjang Station and was relocated to its current location in 2007.

The source of Yongchu Falls, Mount Yeoninsan (연인산) stands at 1,068 meters above sea level and features soft terrain and beautiful scenery. Local folklore has it that those coming to the mountain wishing for true love will have their dreams come true. The soil of Mount Yeoninsan is fertile, offering a great natural environment for a variety of flowers and trees. Numerous types of wild flowers thrive from early spring to late autumn. The trail connecting Mount Yeoninsan with mounts Myeongjisan, Cheonggyesan, and Gwimokbong remains relatively unspoiled by human influence: cooking and camping in the area is strictly forbidden. All the mountains in the trail are over 1,000 meters high. A defining feature of Mount Yeoninsan is the royal azaleas that bloom in late May. The County of Gapyeong celebrates the royal azalea by hosting the Mount Yeoninsan (Natural Ecology) Festival in May of each year. Also ideal for hiking, Mount Yeoninsan offers a number of trails: one starts from Buk-myeon in Baekdun-ri, one from Mail-ri, and one from Yongchu Valley. With a minimum of climbing, hikers can take in a variety of scenic views, ranging from the bloom of the royal azaleas in the spring to the beauty of the changing leaves in the fall.

Taejongdae Cliffed Coast was formed by many layers of rock being forced together beneath a lake during the Cretaceous period, and then worn away over time by the sea. The coast features many geological formations, including sea caves and uniquely shaped rocks. Visitors can enjoy walking on the forested paths, or take the train course to easily access Taejongdae Observatory and Yeongdo Coastal Culture Space. Located in the eastern section of Wibongsanseong Fortress, Wibong Waterfall is a two-tiered waterfall measuring 60 meters high. The strangely-shaped rocks and thick groves of trees that border the cascading falls make for such a magical scene that it comes as no surprise that the waterfall has long since been counted as one of the Eight Splendid Landscapes of Wansan.Located nearby is the battlefield of the Ungchi War (designated as regional monument of Jeollabuk-do, No. 25) where the local people fought fiercely against Japanese invaders during the Imjin War. Also in the area are Songgwangsa Temple (at the foot of Jongnamsan Mountain), Dongsang Reservoir, Daea Reservoir, and Hwasim Hot Springs.

Snoopy Garden House is where visitors can meet Snoopy and friends from the popular American comic series "Peanuts." The themed halls designed under the overall theme of "Peanuts, Nature & Life" allows one to connect their everyday life through episodes from "Peanuts." Snoopy Garden House has a total of five themed halls and Peanuts Store.

Guam Farm Stay Village is located near the city so it is easy to find and is well-equipped with cultural facilities. Nine rocks in the area resemble the back of a turtle so it is referred to as “Guam”. (‘Gu(龜)’ means turtle (geobuk) and ‘Am (岩)’ means rock (bawi)) Farming experiences start from the time when cherry blossom are about to be in full bloom along the road surrounding the foot of Palgongsan Mountain. Visitors can take part in planting various vegetable seeds, thinning out the apple trees, rice reaping, and pulling out beans. The village is abounding in fruits, including apples, grapes, peaches, and chestnuts. Among the many hands-on programs, picking apples and chestnuts has already became famous activities for nearby kindergarten students. To facilitate the farm stay program, Nonghyup operates a weekend farm, where one can grow and taste vegetables such as lettuce and chili.
