Namwon Keuneong Promenade (남원 큰엉해안)

The word "eong" means "a hill" in the Jeju dialect. The name "Namwon Keuneong" means "a huge hill shaped like a mouth opened toward and ready to swallow up the sea." The flatlands on the cliffs are covered with soft green grass.Visitors will be inspired by the area’s untouched nature and two naturally-made caves.While walking along the seashore cliff, visitors will come across 2 km-walking path, an observatory, a simple resting place, a fishing site and restrooms.

Jangseongho Lake Resort
Jeollanam-do(Jangseong-gun)

Known as the hometown of Hong Gil-dong (a famous robber known for his chivalry), this area, located in Jangseong, Jeollanam-do, also has a huge man-made lake in the south of Naejangsan National Park called Hangseongho Lake, boasting a fabulous natural scenery, as a prime resort area in Jangseong. Mokpo Special Tourist Zone (목포 관광특구)
Jeollanam-do(Mokpo-si)

Mokpo is a special zone for marine culture tourism. One of the main attractions is Yudalsan Mountain, on top of which one can get a panoramic view of the entire city of Mokpo. The mountain’s walking trails are known to both locals and tourists alike as a place for forest bathing. Samhakdo Island and Gatbawi Rock are also popular attractions. The annual Mokpo Maritime Cultural Festival is held on Samhakdo Island. Gatbawi is a rock formation shaped like a Korean hat. From Gatbawi Rock, there is a coastal trail that leads to Gatwabi Culture Street. The musical fountain at Pyeonghwa Plaza is located near Gatbawi Rock. The Mokpo Wholesale Fish Market is full of marine products. Street vendors line the sidewalks selling hongeo (skate), which is a local specialty. Tourists can reach Yudalsan Mountain, Samhakdo Island and the Mokpo Wholesale Fish Market on foot from Mokpo Station. The City Tour Bus departs from Mokpo Station and takes travelers to major tourist attractions in the city. Eungbongsan Mountain
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Uljin-gun)

Mt. Eungbongsan (998.5m, 응봉산) in Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do is shaped like a hawk soaring into the sky. Therefore, it is also called, ‘Mt. Maebongsan.’ Even though it is not very tall, the terrain is steep and rough. This mountain has the only open-air spa in Korea, and because the hiking trail is only partially developed, it still retains its unspoiled beauty. But, due to the scenic landscape and hot spring, Mt. Eungbongsan has become more popular. It borders Mt. Tonggosan in the southwest, Deokgu Valley in the east and Gusugok Valley in the southeast. Also, Uljin Geumgangsong Natural Forest is found in the upper part of Deok Valley and Gusugok Valley while Mountain Goat (a natural monument) can be observed on the valley cliff to the southeast. This mountain also borders Samcheok, Gangwon-do in the northwest. The mountain peak offers a great view of the Donghae Sea and spectacular sunrises. You can also visit a nearby hot spring, beach, Gusugok Recreational Forest and Jukbyeon Port.

Sculpture Park of Keumkuwon
Jeollabuk-do(Buan-gun)

The Sculpture Park of Keumkuwon (est. 1966) is Korea’s first sculpture park and was registered as Private Museum No. 277 with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2003. Many of the roughly 100 sculptures are realistic in style and are related to one another, making viewers feel as if a story is unfolding right before their eyes. Main pieces include ‘Farmer’s hands,’ ‘Thoughts about the Limited and the Unlimited,’ and ‘The Sky in the West.’ The sculptures are made of marble or granite and vary in size, with some measuring 450cm. Indigenous trees and bushes of the Byeonsan Bando Peninsula can be found throughout the park, giving visitors a chance to enjoy both the sculptures and the backcountry charm. The park also features the Keumkuwon Astronomical Observatory. Visitors can combine their trip to the park with a visit to nearby tourist sites like Gyeokpohang Harbor, Chaeseokgang Cliff, Suseongdang Shrine, and Jeokbyeokgang Cliff.

Hanguk Aengmusae Hakgyo - Bird House
Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Hanguk Aengmusae Hakgyo, which literally translate to Korea Parrot School, is located in Pyeongchang and hosts a nightly parrot shows. Visitors can enjoy various performances staged by the parrots such as bicycle riding, rope climbing, and kissing. The café on site provides a very special opportunity for visitors to meet and interact with the animals while enjoying a refreshing drink. Namildae Beach
Gyeongsangnam-do(Sacheon-si)

Located in Sacheon, Gyeongnam Province, and home to the huge Elephant Rock that resembles an elephant drinking water, Namildae Beach (남일대해수욕장) is a popular vacationing spot all year round thanks to its clean water and soft sand. The thick surrounding forests and Jinneol Observation Deck, as well as many fishing spots, add to its popularity. During the summer season, the beach is the site of both a singing competition and a film festival. Vacationers can also visit Changseon-Samcheonpo Bridge (창선-삼천포대교), the biggest bridge in Asia, and see Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park (한려해상국립공원) on a ferry cruise.

Dongho Beach
Jeollabuk-do(Gochang-gun)

Dongho Beach (동호해수욕장) is located south of Gomsoman Bay, between the Byeonsan Peninsula of Buan and Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do. Skirting the 1km-long white sandy beach lies a green forest with pine trees hundreds of years old. The sunset viewed from the forest is particularly eye-catching as the soft pink from the falling sun covers the sky. The water just offshore is relatively shallow, varying in depth between 0.5 and 1.5 m. The high salt content in the seawater makes it an ideal place for sea and sand bathing. On the hill above the Haesong forest is Suseongdang, a temple honoring the God of the Sea, where the local fishermen gather each year to pray for big catches.
