Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

Jeonju, the mecca for the traditional culture and style of Korea! The Korea Traditional Culture Center was established to preserve and develop Korean traditional culture, to promote it in and outside Korea and to create an industry. The center supports traditional cultural projects in order to preserve the cultural assets of Korea, such as hanok (traditional Korean housing), hansik (Korean food), hansori (traditional Korean music) and Hangeul (Korean alphabets), and graft modernity onto traditional culture. Visitors can participate in education and activity programs related to Korean culture. The Korea Traditional Culture Center has the Hanji Industry Support Center, the Traditional Culture Creation Center, and Jeonju Masterpiece Onn, which is why the center is called the mecca for traditional Korean culture and style.


Seoul(Mapo-gu) , Yeouido・Yeongdeungpo・Mapo

Digital Pavillion, located inside Digital Media City in Sangam-dong, offers visitors a look into IT-related products in its ubiquitous lifestyle experience center. Covering a total area of 9,721 ㎡, the four-story building holds about 40 items on display. The Exploration Hall on the second floor and the Imagination Hall on the third floor are especially popular among children. * Opened on April 30, 2008


Incheon(Bupyeong-gu) , Bupyeong

Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si) , suwon

Janganmun Gate is the northern gate of Hwaseong Fortress and also serves as the main entrance. "Jangan" means capital, and Hwaseong Fortress carries the meaning of being a secondary capital. Janganmun Gate is considered the main gate because this is the direction that the king would come from when arriving from Hanyang, the capital city, now modern-day Seoul. It is interesting to note that this gate is larger than Sungryemun Gate in Seoul.


Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , Former Jeju

Yongyeon is where the saltwater and freshwater meet. The legend goes that an envoy was sent to the pond frequently by the Dragon King. The pond is flanked on both sides by eight rock walls that look like folding screens. Also called as Yongyeon Yabeom, the pond is one of the twelve best scenic sites in Yeongju. Yongyeon Yabeom refers to the beautiful sight that is created when the full moon is reflected on the clear waters of the rocky cliffs. Hence, many people come to visit the pond at night for the beautiful night scenery. 


Daegu(Jung-gu)

Yi Sang-hwa is a nationalist poet, who resisted the Japanese colonialism. This house had been his residence from 1939 until he died in 1943. Unfortunately, the house had been neglected since. However, the citizens' movement in 1999 to preserve the house urged the Military Mutual Aid Association to purchase it, and donate it to the City of Daegu on October 27, 2005. It has been restored and opened to the public, serving as the center for education of the poet's brave spirit and work.


Gwangju(Seo-gu)

Gwangju World Cup Stadium is a major symbol of Gwangju. Designed to reflect the notion of ‘spreading far and wide’ the exterior is shaped like spokes of a wheel. When lit up, the stadium looks like a glowing dome. The ceiling and large ‘Y’-shaped pillars resemble a ‘Go,’ an instrument used in a traditional game from Gwangju, Gossaumnori. It is with design touches such as these that architects of the stadium have sought to capture and reflect traditional aspects of the Gwangju area.


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Located 1 km away from Gyeongpodae, Gyeongpo Beach is a sand bank formed between Gyeongpo Lake and the ocean. This beautiful beach extends to a length of 6 km and is covered with fine sand. It is a very well-known tourist attraction within Korea: a flawless combination of nature and cultural relics.Gyeongpo Beach is famous for its picturesque sunrise and tranquil moonrise. There are other nearby attractions in the area, like the pine forest (4 km) and wild roses, which grow in various areas around the beach. Those who enjoy ocean fishing can take a boat to the mall rocks just off the beach. There is an endless line of tourists, who come to visit the ancient buildings with their incredible scenery, like Gyeongpodae and Ojukheon.In the spring, the Festival of Cherry Blossoms is held at the entrance to Gyeongpo Beach and in the summer, the Beach Festival and other various cultural events are held. (Traditional Literary Event, Beach Dance Festival, etc.)


Seoul(Yeongdeungpo-gu) , Yeouido・Yeongdeungpo・Mapo

Hangang River Ferry Cruise is one of the best ways to enjoy the scenery around the Hangang River, which flows through the heart of Seoul. On the cruise, you can see Hangang River’s beautiful scenery, various small islands, Jeoldusan Park, 63 Square, N Seoul Tower, Jamsil’s Sports Complex, and other famous tourist spots. The cruise is often used for weddings, birthday parties, music performances, and other events. The tours often have live performances featuring piano and other instruments. During the summer, the docks also offer motor boat rentals. The cruise will make stops at 7 docks including Yeouido, Jamsil, Ttukseom, Yanghwa, Jamdubong, Seonyudo, Seoul Forest, and Incheon, in addition to 2 passenger terminal currently at operation. Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Jungmun Beach (중문해수욕장) has a sandy shore so fine that it is called Jinmosal. The white sand beach is 560m long and the water has an average depth of 1.2m. Different shades of black, red, and grey are beautifully mixed into the white sand of the beach. This helps to accentuate Jeju-do Island’s black Hyeonmuam stones. To the right side of the beach is a natural sea cave called Haesikgul Cave. This area is often used for TV commercials, and the turbulent water is great for windsurfing and other water sports.
