Rail Cruise Haerang

Rail Cruise Haerang, a hotel-on-wheels, began operating in November 2008 as the nation's first tourist train with sleeping accommodations. With a name meaning "together with the sun," Haerang was designed to be a luxury train similar to a yacht traveling along a beautiful mountain river beneath the bright sun. The exterior of the train is painted in a deep blue with gold lines and a logo featuring a phoenix while the interior design has Korean elements. Tourists will enjoy their time on the train, with personalized trips and full amenities.

KBS On
Seoul(Yeongdeungpo-gu) , Yeouido・Yeongdeungpo・Mapo

Located within the KBS broadcasting station in Yeouido, KBS On is first museum in Korea dedicated to the history and evolution of the Korean broadcasting industry. Visitors can experience radio and television broadcasting production firsthand. KBS On first opened on January 1, 1977 and after extensive renovation, the museum re-opened in April 2001. Now, the museum offers better services than before with the addition of a Hologram Corner, Stereoscopic Media Experience Corner, and Character Photo Zone. The tour starts from the main hall on the second floor and continues onto the fourth and fifth floors. In addition to the small museum, radio drama studio, sound effect instruments, 9 o'clock news corner, hologram corner, stereoscopic media experience hall and chroma key corner, visitors have the chance to observe the TV production process and radio programming process through a window that looks out into the broadcasting studio.

Museum Kimchikan
Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

Museum Kimchikan is a unique museum dedicated to kimchi and kimjang, the process of making kimchi which was designated as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The museum was also selected by CNN in March 2015 as one of the world’s top 11 food museums. Visitors can learn the history of kimchi as well as learn and get a taste of the different types of kimchi. Audio guides in English, Japanese, and Chinese are available for international visitors and a guided tour of the museum by a docent is also available at designated times. Online reservation is available through the museum’s official website.

Wondae-ri Birch Forest
Gangwon-do(Inje-gun)

From 1974 to 1995, Wondae-ri Birch Forest has been reforested with approxmiately 690,000 birch trees in an area of 138 hectares, with 25 hectares of land being used as children's forest experience center. Tour of the forest is available by following its walking trail, only after completing a registration at the forest entrance. The forest was designed to promote educational and environmental values and recognize the beauty unique to the birch forest.

  ACC Performance is a platform for contemporary performing arts in Asia. Serving as a platform for the creation and distribution of performing arts projects focusing on Asia, ACC Performance seeks to establish itself as an international hub bridging Korea, Asia, and the rest of the world. It offers original performance programs that usher in the future of performing arts across multiple genres, special performance programs that provide cultural and art experiences for people of all ages, and invitational performance programs that expand cultural opportunities for citizens by featuring the most memorable and noteworthy performances.   Original Programs   The ACC creates new performance programs that defy genres. Theater 1 at ACC Theater is Korea’s largest variable “black box” theater. The theater is built for new types of performance that transcend the confines of conventional theaters, space and genres. The ACC seeks out content tailored to Theater 1 that fully utilizes its variable structure and stage system, with a view to building its own repertoires.       ACC Original Programs   Asia Culture Center Original Programs   ACC Theater develops and distributes various forms of performance programs based on Asia’s cultural resources. From the children’s theater production, The Giggling Tree in 2015, ACC Theater developed and distributed another children’s theater production The Little Musician in 2016, the English musical Treasure Hunters in 2017, the film voice acting show Free Wedding, and the animation music theater Sugungga in 2018.     Co-Produced Programs Asia Culture Center Co-Produced Programs Collaborating with curators in Korea and other Asian countries, the ACC discusses cultural and social issues from different cultures and co-produces artistic representations of them. The ACC also pursues co-production projects with art organizations in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do, Korea, to build foundations for local art communities. Gangneung Boksa Village (강릉 복사꽃마을)
Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Gangneung Boksa Village blooms with peach blossoms each spring. The village is criss-crossed by Hacheon and Sillicheon Streams, which can be crossed by log bridges built long ago by the residents. These precious log bridges are sometimes removed for protection during the rainy summer season, and then put back out when the streams calm down. Boksa Village provides a wonderful glimpse into the rural agricultural lifestyle of Korea. Visitors can pick their own fruit directly from the tree to enjoy right away, as well as make a scarecrow or spread green tea fertilizer around the trees to help them grow. The festival is also the venue for an annual peach blossom festival in April, and a scarecrow festival in August.

Ganggyeong Oknyeobong Park
Chungcheongnam-do(Nonsan-si)

Oknyeobong Peak is one of the eight scenic views of Nonsan and offers a great overview of the Geumgang River as it flows through the Ganggyeong district. Continuing out into the distance, views of Nonsan and Iksan can be seen, bringing to mind a traditional painting of a mountain and river. The scenery is so beautiful that there is a myth of mountain gods coming down to play and bathe during the full moon. The signal-fire tower at the peak was built to receieve signals from the tower on Gwangduwonsan Mountain in Iksan, and passes the message along to Noseong signal-fire tower. The park is also in the area of the nation's earliest Baptist church, making it famous for people on a pilgrimage to sacred places.

Geumnam-ro Street
Gwangju(Dong-gu)

Geumnam-ro Street used to be in the government office quarters, and is now the center of the city's finacial sphere, with many banks, insurance companies and public offices lining the street. During the May 18 Movement, the citizens gathered at Geumnam-ro Steet and marched together to express their sadness and give support for the sublimation of the nation.
