Incheon(Ganghwa-gun) , Ganghwado Island

Hwangcheong Fishing Site, located in Hwangcheongpogu-ro, Naega-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, is a valley-type reservoir that was built in 1993. The site covers an area of about 76033 ㎡, and has an average water level of 2.5-4m with the highest water level being over 15m. The main fish species are crucian carps, common carps, leather carps, Korean bullheads, and pond smelt. Also near the fishing site are other facilities including pensions, bungalows, restaurants and snack bars.


Incheon(Ganghwa-gun) , Ganghwado Island

First established in Ganghwa-eup during the 5th year of King Injong in the Goryeo Dynasty (1127), Ganghwahyanggyo Confucian School was moved to Ganghwa-gun and then restored at the foot of Buksan Mountain (formally Songaksan Mountain) in 1624 by Sim Yeol during the 2nd year of King Injo. Ganghwahyanggyo Confucian School is regarded as an important cultural and historical site in Ganghwa-eup.


Incheon(Yeonsu-gu) , Songdo International Business District

It has 97 beds in total, where 90 of them are for general patients and 7 are in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). It was approved as a baby-friendly hospital by UNICEF in 2005 and 2009. The hospital provides first aid for high risk infants and premature babies in need of special care or treatment at its neonatal intensive care unit, which is equipped with specialized equipment including 11 incubators, artificial ventilators, and echocardiographs to offer immediate and accurate checkup and treatment. Lastly, the hospital deals with over 800 cases of in vitro fertilization (IVF) a year and over 1,000 cases of artificial insemination (AID) annually. The success rate of pregnancy via IVF was 50% in year 2012. The hospital was designated as a “medical institution specialized in embryo creation” in 2005 by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and was registered as a government supported IVF and AID authorized institution in 2006 for couples with sterility issues.

Incheon(Gyeyang-gu)

Gyeyangsan Mountain, which reaches an altitude of 395m, is considered a guardian and holy mountain that is representative of Incheon. The mountain’s name changed several times, according to the name changes of the region. It was previously called "Sujuak" as part of the Suju-Dohobu administrative region of the Goryeo Dynasty, "Annamsan Mountain" during Annam-Dohobu, and finally was renamed "Gyeyangsan Mountain" during Gyeyang-Dohobu.Gyeyangsan’s name originates from the area that is home to the Korean box tree, which produces cassia bark used to make cinnamon. Gyeyang Park was designated as Incheon’s first urban natural park on January 8, 1944, and since then, the mountain has gone on to become the city’s top municipal park.


Incheon(Ganghwa-gun)

Ganghwa Anglican Church was consecrated in 1900 by Charies Jone Corfe, the First Bishop of the Church as the St. Peter and St.Paul’s Church. The church has since undergone several restorations, but the design remains true to the original. The two-story 4x10 rectangular building is characterized by traditional Korean construction style on the outside while the interior is a Western Basilica style symbolizing the beauty of harmony and Korean tradition. It was first designated as Gyeonggi-do Tangible Cultural Property No. 154 and then became Incheon Tangible Cultural property when Ganghwa was included in Incheon Metropolitan City. In January 2001 it was designated as Historic Site No.424 of Korea.
