Charmsori Gramophone & Edison Science Museum

Charmsori Gramophone & Edison Science Museum founded by Son Seongmok is the largest gramophone museum in the world. It has a collection of 4,500 phonographs, 150,000 phonograph records, 1,000 books, and 5,000 items from 20 nations.1) World of Sound: The place for history of Sound. It displays gothic and renaissance organs, music boxes, radios and record players.2) World of Image: The place for silent films and biography films of masterminds and Edison. It displays Edison projectors and televisions, especially one made by Baird, John Logie (1888.8.13 ~ 1946.6.14) in 1925.3) World of Light: Displays items from Gas lamps to the original light bulb that Edison made, an electric generator of those days, the bamboo filament light bulb and the first wall-attached electric lamp. The wall-attached electric lamp is the part of the collection that was successfully accepted at Sotheby's auction in 1992.4) Edison Invention Hall: Displays 850 inventions of Edison's, including t three of his greatest inventions - phonographs, light bulbs and projectors. E World Sledding Hills

E-world has several types of sledding hills such as the bell-shaped sledding hill, snow jet sledding hill and the children’s sledding hill. Petite Joong-Ang Family Museum is a family-owned museum that showcases the antiquities of Oriental medicine, as practiced by a local family for three generations or 90 years in the city of Yangnyeong known for its 350-year-old medicinal herb market. The tools used by the family including scales, medicine bowls, prescriptions and manuscripts of Oriental medicine tell the history of Oriental medicine in Korea as well as the family's dedication to treatment with Oriental medicine. The museum serves its visitors with healthy Oriental medicine tea, while the living family members offer free medical consultation.

Sammok Quay
Incheon(Jung-gu) , Incheon Center

Sammok Quay is located in the north of Yeongjongdo (Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon). Boats typically operate between Sammok and other islands in its vicinity (Jangbongdo, Modo, Sindo, and Sido). Its name originates from Sammokdo, where the quay belonged. Sindo is an island near Sammok Quay. It is also called Jinyeom, which means true salt because salt is produced there. Visitors can enjoy the breath-taking view of Yeongjongdo and the West Sea from the peak of Mt. Gubong in Sindo. Two bridges connect Sindo, Sido, and Modo. Sido’s natural beauty is still preserved due to its isolation and has appeared in the Korean soap operas, “Full House” and “Winter Sonata,” attracting tourists increasingly. Around March 15 on the lunar calendar, the sea route between Modo and Hoedong-ri (Gogun-myeon) is said to open for two hours over the x_width of 18 meters. It is often considered the Mysterious Sea Route or Moses Miracle in Korea. Many tourists visit Modo around that time to witness the mystery of nature. Visitors can take a boat from Sindo to Jangbongdo, whose name originates from having many peaks and a long-shaped island. It boasts many coastal wonders. Surrounded by wide tidal land, these four islands are home to rare, precious birds such as Swinhoe’s Egret (Natural Monument No.360) and Black-Tailed Gull (Natural Monument No. 361). Famous local produce includes grapes, dried laver, shrimp, razor clams, and octopus. Modo got itself name after Chinese character ‘Tti’ meaning lines of fish nets because when fishing, no fish were caught hanging in Tti. The story of the Royal Investigator Lee Geon-chang came down from generation to generation with a monument. Trout fishing is formed around the island; mangdungeo, rockfish, conger eel and other are caught as well. Specialties includes grapes with high sugar content and wild oysters.

Jamjindo Island

Located in Jung-gu, Incheon, Jamjindo Island is a small island connected with Yeongjongdo Island. A newly opened road from the mainland to the island makes access to Jamjindo much more convenient. Its sunset views of mud flats dyed fantastic shades of red by the setting sun attract many visitors to take pictures and to dig out clams at low tide. There are also crowds of visitors waiting to take the short (just 5 minute) ferry ride to Muuido Island (famous for connecting to Silmido Island) at the ferry dock in Jamjindo Island. Visitors should check out the schedule of the ferry in advance as the ferry may not run to Muuido Island at low tide. Eurwangni Beach, Hanagae Beach, and Deokgyo Beach are easily accessible to the island.

168 Stairs
Busan(Dong-gu)

This is the fastest way to go downhill from Sanbok road to Busan port. The stairs is known to be as tall as a 6-storey building, and there used to be 3 wells located at the bottom of the stairs. The flight of stairs has exactly 168 steps. Currently, there is only 1 well with drinking water, and on days when there is insufficient water, you may see locals waiting in line to draw water.
