Jecheon Station
Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)

Jecheon Station is located 154.9km away from Cheongnyangni Station, the first station on the Jungang Railroad. The station is built at a key junction, passing through Taebaek and Yeongdong Lines to the east, passing such cities as Yeongwoel, Sabuk, Hwangji and going all the way to Bukpyeong. To the southwest, it connects to the Chungbuk Line, which stretches 110km in length, passing through Eumseong, Chungju, Cheongju and Jochiwon. Famous tourist attractions within 4km of the station include Uirimji and Hanbyeokru.

Cheonmasan County Park
Gyeonggi-do(Namyangju-si) , Namyangju

Cheonmasan Mountain (천마산, 812m), located in the center of Namyangju City, is shaped like Dalma, a famous Buddhist monk, sitting with his shoulders back, and giving a grand and calm impression. The name Cheonma was given by King Taejo, the founder of the Joseon dynasty. It means a mountain that is high enough to touch the sky. The mountain is renowned for its beauty year-round, being snow-capped in winter; erupting in fresh verdure during spring; taking on a deep, lush green hue in summer and a myriad of colors in the fall. The mountain’s proximity to Seoul and its pristine spring waters that rush over the cliffs on the southwest face, make the mountain a popular destination. Mt. Cheonma is perfect for a day hike with its lush forests and natural springs where fresh healthy waters well up from the ground.

Hwangmaesan County Park
Gyeongsangnam-do(Hapcheon-gun)

Located at the border between Gahoe-myeon and Daebyeong-myeon of Hapcheon, Hwangmaesan is a guardian mountain of Hapcheon but has not been popular and was hardly mentioned in hiking magazines or tourist maps. Thanks for that, the mountain has all the natural environment that has been kept untouched and undamaged. In 1983, the mountain was designated as the County Park and now, along with Gayasan, it is regarded as one of the most major mountains in Hapcheon. Hwangmaesan is beautiful during the spring season when royal azaleas are at their full blossom but the summer season when hills are covered with fresh greens or the fall when silver grasses cover the hills gloriously and even the snow flowers in the winter season are scenes not to be missed. Unlike other mountain tops, this one has a full open view so every seasonal changes are more truly experienced. It is convenient that there is a road that reaches to the top of the mountain but if time allows, hiking up to the top to see the magnificent view is recommended for visitors.

Maengbang Beach
Gangwon-do(Samcheok-si)

Maengbang Beach is the ideal place for families because of its shallow waters (about 1-1.5m) and various facilities nearby. Visitors can enjoy strolling along the 4-kilometer stretch of beach or in the dense forest nearby. Many events are held during the summer season, including a race along the beach, trout and flounder catching contests, and a clam catching contest. The popular Korean movie, One Fine Spring Day was filmed here.

Hamo Beach
Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Hamo Beach is a 250 meter long and 100 meter wide sandy beach. Being the closest beach to Moseulpo, it is also called Moseulpo Beach. The sand is fine, the seawater is shallow, and there is also an expansive green field behind the beach for camping, so it is a great summer vacation destination for families. The beach is still relatively unknown to tourists, so visitors can enjoy a quiet atmosphere. They can also rent a fishing boat. Wild fish and turban shells can be had at inexpensive prices in nearby restaurants.

Danyang Station
Chungcheongbuk-do(Danyang-gun)

Danyang Station was first opened in 1942, but was partly flooded from the construction of Chungju Dam. In 1985 a new Danyang Station and Gu-Danyang Station were constructed. Gu-Danyang Station became Danseong Station and Danyang station has since moved locations. The charming Danyang station platform has excellent views of the beautiful Namhangang River, a train cafe and a park. ​

Sinbulsan Mountain
Gyeongsangnam-do(Namhae-gun)

Sinbulsan Mountain (1,209 meters) was designated as a county park, which includes the neighboring Ganwolsan Mountain, by the county of Ulju-gun on November 3, 1983. These mountains stretch around the village of Eonyang and form cliffs on the east with oddly-shaped rocks rising from them. The scenery is beautiful throughout all four seasons and the majestic mountain looks like it is reaching toward the sky high above the clouds. Thus it is often referred to as the Yeongnam Alps. Near the peak of Sinbulsan sits a fortress with breathtaking views of silver grass. It is called Danjiseong or Danjoseong because it is shaped like a jar. Below Wangbong Peak is Hongnyu Falls, which cascades down into Jakgwaecheon Stream. The Ganwolsaji Temple Site and the Ganwolsaji Seated Stone Buddha can be found inside Jakcheonjeong Pavilion.

Head House of Pansagongpa Branch of Pyeongsan Shin Clan
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Cheongsong-gun)

Located in Cheongsong-gun County, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Pyeongsansinssi Pansagongpa Jongtaek is the head house of the noble Pyeongsan Sin family line. The house was created by Sin, Han-Tae, during the era of King Sukjong (1674-1720) of the Joseon Dynasty. Ever since its construction centuries ago, the house has been inhabitated by the descendants of Sin, Deuk-Cheong, the 15th eldest grandson of the General, Sin, Sung-Gyem. This house has all of the features that are representative of upper–class houses of the Joseon Era. The buildings of the house are built in a rectangular shape, with the courtyard in the center. The compound consists of Soteuldaemun (high-rising gate), Haengrangchae (servants’ quarters located next to the gate), Gotgan (storeroom in which grain and other items were stored), Anchae (room for the female family members) and a pavillion. Within the same village as Pyeongsansinssi Pansagongpa Jongtaek are Seobyeok Gotaek and Sanam Gotaek, houses of the Sin clan. The entrance of the village is protected by thick pine groves and the Yonjeconcheon Stream (a tributary of Nakdonggang River), both of which add natural beauty to the deeply historic area.

Jeongbangsa Temple
Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)

Located on a ridge of Sinseonbong Peak (845m) nearby Geumsusan mountain, Jeongbangsa Temple was founded by Buddhist monk, Uisangdaesa in the second year of King Munmu’s reign during the Silla Kingdom (662). Jeongbangsa Temple is a branch of the Beopjusa Temple located at Mt. Songnisan and is a well known oratory amongst Buddhists. The temple offers fantastic views of Chunpungho Lake that are said to calm and clear the mind. A unique feature is the mountain wall making up a portion of the temple roof.

Jamsil Special Tourist Zone

Jamsil Special Tourist Zone has Lotte World Amusement Park, the landmark of Jamsil, at its center. As Jamsil Special Tourist Zone functions as a resting area in the heart of the city, visitors can play, go shopping and participate in historical inquiries all within a comfortable distance of each other. The zone has a lot of entertainment and places to see and eat for international visitors of all ages with its diverse tourism resources, such as Seokchon Lake, Café Alley, Bangi Food Street, Olympic Park and Hanseong Baekje cultural relics. Seokchon Lake is great for a stroll in a tranquil ambience, and Bangi Food Street has restaurants serving a variety of appetizing dishes. Inside and around Lotte World Amusement Park are attractions and amenities that include Lotte Hotel World, Lotte World Indoor Ice Skating Rink and Food Court. It is popular among families with children and the elderly. Jamsil Station Shopping Mall in Jamsil, apart from Lotte Department Store (Jamsil Branch), is widely known as a shopper’s haven. The items sold at the shopping mall are affordable, attracting a crowd of young people. Olympic Park is frequently used as a venue by Hallyu (Korean wave) stars for shows and performances. There is a swimming pool inside the park where sports activities take place, like a scuba diving program for beginners.
