Jeollanam-do(Gurye-gun)

Sansuyu Village is like a messenger of spring, with its beautiful yellow sansuyu flower (cornus) in full bloom, and springtime picnickers coming in droves to Jirisan Mountain to capture this beautiful moment. In the summer, Surak Falls shows off its color. In the fall, Sansuyu feature delicious berries. And in winter, it boasts amazing views of snow-covered Manbokdae Peak, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Also, Sansuyu Village offers a couple of good exercise spots located near at Jirisan Mountain called Dullegil Road, which includes old trekking trails and an old walking trail called Daedongyeojido. Through exploring Jirisan Mountain's hiking trails and taking a dip in its hot spring, you can rejuvenate your spirit and overall wellness.


Jeollanam-do(Haenam-gun)

This area is famous as it is on the very tip of the Korean peninsula, located in Galdu-ri of Songji-myeon. This is where Baekdusan Mountain ends reaching the tip of the peninsula. Many people visit the area so they can say they’ve stepped on the end of the land and it has long become a prime destination in Haenam.At the summit of Sajabong peak there is an observatory that stands 38m high. From the observatory you can get a full viewing of the Dalmasan Mountain in the north while in the east, fishing vessels can be seen skirting deftly on the surface of the sea. Atop the summit of Sajabong peak, there is a restored old beacon (Bonghwadae) which in the past was strategically located to warn of approaching Japanese ships. In the village proper, the area known as Ttangkkeut Village (땅끝마을), special events take place to celebrate the end of year and the first day of the New Year, which also draws many tourists to the area from all over the country.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Hadong-gun)

Agyang-myeon located in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do province is home to Korea’s well-known Jirisan Mountain, and the crystal clear waters of Seomjingang River. Two mountain ranges, both beginning from Samsinbong Peak, form the natural boundaries of the area and its villages.Agyang-myeon’s unique atmosphere invokes feelings of nostaligia as well as fresh natural scents of the outdoors. At the foot of the mountain is a time-honored wild tea field that has existed more than 1,300 years. Green tea from Hadong has long been known as superior to all other green teas.The area is also famous as the setting of ’Toji’, a saga written by Korea’s famed author Park Gyeong-Ri. Some places referenced in the novel include Cham Pan Choi’s residence and Pyeongsa-ri Park. Every autumn, the “Toji Literature Festival” takes place here. For its representative traditions and many other reasons, Agyang-myeon was designated the fifth Slow City in Korea in 2009. The city is the first tea producing area designate as a Slow City, and the green tea of Hadong was officially recognized as a local specialty by the World Slow City Network General Assembly.


Chungcheongnam-do(Cheongyang-gun)

Mt. Chilgapsan, located in Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, was designated as a provincial park in 1973. This mountain, 561 meters above sea level, has been called “The Alps of Chungcheongnam-do.” Mt. Chilgapsan area has many peaks, a thick forest and a beautiful valley. Each season has its own unique atmosphere. There are romantic cherry blossoms in spring, vivid green leaves in summer, autumn tints in fall and a snow-covered landscape in winter. Mountaineers visit all year round and can choose from seven courses.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geoje-si)

Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park was built in 1996 to commemorate the victory of national hero, Admiral Yi Sun-sin who fought against the Japanese in the invasion of Korea from 1592~1598.Admiral Yi Sun-sin torpedoed 26 out of 50 Japanese ships gaining victory in the Okpo naval battle.A memorial hall, shrine, tower and Okporu Pavilion are located at the commemorative park. The Turtle Ship, an ironclad warship shaped like a turtle, swords crafted in the Joseon tradition, and other remains are displayed at the memorial hall. Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s picture can be seen at the shrine.On top of the 30 meter high tower and Okporu Pavilion, visitors can enjoy ocean vistas as well as a view of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd.Entrance to the breakwater is not permitted for safety reasons.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)


Chungcheongnam-do(Seocheon-gun)

A small harbor town in Seocheon County on the west coast, Maryangpogu is the only place in Korea where visitors can see the sunrise and sunset on the same day. Sunrise here can only be seen for about 50 days around mid-December, which attracts many visitors around that time. There is a beautiful camellia forest alongside the sea, which has been designated as National Monument No. 169. There are about 80 camellia trees and some of them are 500-years old. The camellia flowers are in bloom from late-March to early-May and reach their peak around mid-April. Dongbaekjeong Pavilion in the forest offers a splendid view of the sunset. There are many attractions visitors can easily get to from Maryangpogu such as Chunjangdae Beach (춘장대 해수욕장), Hongwonhang Harbor (홍원항), Busa Embankment (부사방조제), Geumgang Estuary Bank (금강하구둑) and Hansan Mosi Town (한산모시타운). Hongwonhang Harbor (홍원항) is rich in marine products and the Geumgang Estuary Bank (금강하구둑) is a well-known place to watch winter migratory birds.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geoje-si)

Born in Ulsan, Oesol Choe Hyunbae led the 'Hangeul Matchumbeop Tongiran' (the Proposal for Unified Hangeul Orthography) and published many books in order to creatively promulgate Hangeul. Those activities contributed to the establishment of the Hangeul culture and the systematic approach to hangeul.


Daegu(Suseong-gu)

Daegu Art Museum is a municipal museum supported by the Daegu Municipal Government. The museum holds exhibitions to promote Daegu's art advancement through the study of the art's historical value. The museum also has planned exhibitions introducing the social and artistic issues of the times and the leading trends in the art scene through domestic and overseas exchanges. Diverse performances and events such as academic programs and lectures with famous professors are offered to children, teens and citizens of all ages.
