Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

The arts center opened its doors to the public on November 6th, 2010 after two years and four months of construction, which started on April 14th, 2008. Standing on a lot measuring 27,925㎡, the five-storey building has two basement floors (equivalent to a 13-story apartment in x_height), is 21,232㎡ in area, and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities (such as a revolving stage). Major facilities include a grand performance hall, small performance hall, exhibition chamber, outdoor performance stage, conference room, seminar room, and toy library where a wide range of educational and participatory programs are held.


Gangwon-do(Yanggu-gun)

Dutayeon Falls (두타연) is located on a branch of the Suip Stream (수입천) that flows through Geonsol-ri (건솔리), Bangsan-myeon (방산면), which is north of the Civilian Control Line. The amount of water that flows into the pond is limited, but the surrounding forest provides superb and almost primeval scenery, while the pollution-free waters offer a habitat for Korea’s largest lenok population. Lenok are a species of freshwater fish under the official monitoring and control of the Korean government. A 20-meter screen of flat rocks surrounds the pond and the east wall features a 10-meter square cave, the floor of which is imprinted with the shape of a comb and horse harness.


Chungcheongnam-do(Buyeo-gun)

Muryangsa Temple, located at the foot of Mansusan Mountain in Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, is said to have been built during the reign of Silla’s King Munmu by national preceptor Beomilguksa.Geungnakjeon Hall, Treasure No. 356, can be seen after passing through Sacheonwangmun Gate, recognizably the best location for taking in the beauty of Muryangsa Temple. The temple grounds hold the Two-story Geungnakjeon Hall, Five-story Stone Pagoda (Treasure No. 185), and Stone Lantern (Treasure No. 233), all in a row. Terracotta Seated Amitabha Triad at Muryang Temple in Buyeo, Treasure No. 1565, also shows off its dignity.The temple is also famous for being the place where Kim Siseup, one of the Saengyuksin (Six Loyal Subjects of the Joseon Dynasty), spent his last few days before death. Visitors can see his portrait inside the temple. Although the temple site is included in Buyeo-gun’s administrative district, it is located closer to downtown Boryeong.


Gangwon-do(Yanggu-gun)

Opened June 20, 2000, the War Memorial Museum in Yanggu was built to commemorate the sacrifice and heroism of those who fought during the Korean War at the nine battlefields located in Yanggu: Dosolsan, Daeusan, Bloody Ridge, Baekseoksan, Punch Bowl, Gachilbong, Danjang Ridge, 949 Hill, and Christmas Hill. The museum also reminds the current and future generations of the real cost of war and the sacrifices that were made. The exhibition hall is divided according to themes: freedom, welcoming, meeting, understanding, experience, assurance, tribute, rooftop, and contemplation. Exhibition facilities include a high-quality imaging system and a three-way multi imaging room that combines battle scene dioramas, videos, and slides.


Gangwon-do(Donghae-si)

Mukho Station is located in Balhan-dong, Donghae-si and is close to Mukho Port (2.3km away) and Mangsang Beach (6.0km away). Hoetjip (raw fish restaurants) Town sits along the coastal road in Eodal-dong, Mukho Port and the 1.4km Mangsang Beach is popular for its spacious sandy beach, shallow water, and surrounding pine forests. Mukho Station began operation in 1961 and finished the construction of its current state on December 15, 1988.


Jeollanam-do(Damyang-gun)

Situated at the basin of the ravine in Gojisan Mountain along the Geumseongsan mountain fortress and the Chuweolsan mountain range, Daenamugol (대나무골) is surrounded by tall bamboo trees. In spring, the soft green bamboo shoots blanket the whole field; it also serves as a habitat for sedentary birds to take care of their eggs. The landscaping of the Daenamugol Bamboo Park encapsulates the value of bamboo trees. You can enjoy the fresh crisp air walking in the bamboo grove and the thick pine tree forest. You can try the tea from wild bamboo tea trees grown in the bamboo forest. The park also has Green Town; it includes a playground made out of grass, a hall, an outdoor cooking facility, shower booths, sports fields (volley ball, Jokgu, table tennis, badminton). The theme park has appeared as a backdrop for movies like ‘The Last Witness,’ ‘Sword in the Moon’ as well as in the popular TV drama series ‘Hometown Legends,’ ‘Damo’ and in a number of commercials.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

Spa World in The K Hotel Gyeongju opened in June 2001 aims to guarantee guest satisfaction with excellent amenities, such as their sauna facilities, hot springs, sports center, and swimming pool. Visitors can explore the real manufacturing facility while visiting the GS Caltex Yeosu Plant which is a world class crude oil refining facility.


Chungcheongnam-do(Boryeong-si)

Chungnam Boryeong’s Oseosan Recreational Forest is located south of Oseosan Mountain. The area boasts magnificent scenery. The recreation forest area features a Water Park, a barefoot walk, a nature observation road, a promenade. Lodging facilities include Forest Cabin, Forest Lodge, and row houses.
