Gyeonggi-do(Paju-si) , Paju(Heyri Art valley)

Bogwangsa Temple is a traditional temple located on Goryeongsan Mountain in Paju-si. It was built by the great monk Doseonguksa during the Silla Kingdom under the order of Queen Jinseong in the eight year of her reign (AD 894). Bogwangsa Temple offers a temple stay program through which participants can learn about temple etiquette and experience temple life. Activities include attending Buddhist services, participating in prayers of repentance, engaging in Zen meditation, and eating temple meals and learning about the temple tea ceremony. The temple is set against a naturally scenic site and the sounds of the water flowing in the valley mixed with the Buddhist chants result in a calmness difficult to find anywhere else!


Gyeonggi-do(Yongin-si)

Korea Country Club, located in Korea Golf & Art Village, is just 30-40 minutes away from the Gangnam area of Seoul. The club offers high-tech quality equipment and facilities including a night lighting system and 5-people electronic carts. With the recent addition of 9-hole course, the club is now better positioned to accommodate its customers with better services. The golf course at the club has few up-downs but there is large pond in the middle of the course where there is an island green with 4 holes on it, which give a certain degree of challenge that golfers may enjoy. Gyeonggi-do(Bucheon-si) , Bucheon

Located in Jung-dong, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, Bucheon Park is a new major park in the area. The park was constructed from 1992 and 1993, and was rebuilt in 2000 as an ecological park. The park holds various events throughout the year, and also has an outdoor wedding hall that can be reserved free of charge.


Gyeonggi-do(Pocheon-si) , Pocheon

Sinbuk Hot Springs opened it in April 1994 amidst beautiful streams and forests. The hot spring water comes from 600m underground includes sodium bicarbonate help creating a soft and smooth texture and the water helps anti-aging and general skin care. Along with a hot springs bath, saunas were built as well as a resting area that attracts a diverse clientele. In the area around the hot springs are tourism spots like Yeoldugaeul Valley in Deokdun-ri and Samjeong-ri Mineral Spring. Trekking is also available on the walking trail at Wangbangsan Mountain, Soyosan Mountain and the hot springs as there is a trail connecting Sinbuk Hot Springs and the middle of the mountain.


Gyeonggi-do(Yongin-si)

Opened in August of 1993, the Blue One Yongin Country Club (formerly known as Taeyeong Country Club) is a 1,518,737㎡ golf course with 27 holes. Beautiful works by Douglas Nickels, a renowned figure in the world of plastic arts, can be found throughout the golf course and around tees.

The Jaun Seowon Confucian Academy is home to the tablets of Yulgok Yi I, a great scholar of the Joseon Dynasty. Yulgok was born in his mother’s childhood home in Gangneung in 1536, the 31st year of King Jungjong’s reign. The site is home to the Memorial Hall (free admission) where artifacts related to Yulgok and his mother Sinsaimdang are on exhibit. The tomb of Yulgok Yi I is located to the west of the Memorial Hall and sits above the tomb of Sinsaimdang with the tombs of other relatives. It is unique that the tomb of Yi I is above that of his mother. The site is home to the memorial hall building as well as the family tombs, tombstones, Sammun and Munseongmun gates, Yulgok Education and Training Center, a lawn plaza, pond, mineral spring, and a room where memorial services are held. In early October every year, the Yulgok Culture Festival, a major festival of Paju, is held beginning with the ritual service offered in memory of Yulgok.


Gyeonggi-do(Gapyeong-gun)

Standing at 1,267m above sea level, Myeongjisan Mountain is the second highest mountain in Gyeonggi-do Province after Hwaaksan Mountain. It is a popular destination all year round, as it offers plenty of resting areas with splendid views of the surrounding nature. In addition, the Myeongji Valley, spanning 30㎞, is a great outdoor picnic spot, while the trail from Sangpalli to Ikgeulli is the most preferred hiking trail on the mountain.


Gyeonggi-do(Yongin-si) , Yongin

Jisan Country Club offers the most relaxing golfing experience with its beautiful and tranquil courses surrounded by the calming beauty of Mother Nature and the refreshing scent of the woods. Located in Seolbong Park, the Woljeon Museum of Art Icheon commemorates the great artist Woljeon Chang Woo Soung and his works. Originally opened in Seoul Jongro-gu Palpan-dong, the museum moved to Icheon in August 2007 when Woljeon bequeathed the museum to Icheon City along with 1,532 pieces of artwork and personal memorabilia. The new Woljeon Museum has 2 stories and 1 basement floor with 5 exhibitions halls (permanent & planned exhibition halls), a Woljeon Memorial Hall, a lecture hall, a souvenir shop, and a cafeteria. In the permanent exhibition hall, Chang’s masterpieces and personal belongings are on display, ranging from paintings and calligraphic works to stamps, ceramic works, books, and stationery.


Gyeonggi-do(Goyang-si)

The Women’s History Exhibition Hall is a cultural space and exhibition area that covers the history of women Korea, and is the first of its kind in Korea. Continuously exploring and unfolding information and items related to the history of Korean women, and situating the material in a balanced historical context, the Exhibition Hall aims to give women their rightful place in Korean history. In addition, the Women’s History Exhibition Hall intends to enhance women’s sense of pride and expand gender equality through its various activities, including public education programs and special exhibitions.
