Deogyusan Ski Resort
Jeollabuk-do(Muju-gun)

Deogyusan Resort (former Muju Resort) is one of Korea’s most famous mountain peak ski resorts. Covering an area of over seven million square meters, the resort is located in the Gucheon-dong Valley, at the base of the famous Deogyusan Mountains. Nature lovers will particularly enjoy visiting the resort, since it is located in one of Korea’s beautiful national parks, and was specially designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings.The six ski slopes are categorized according to level of difficulty. The Silk Road Slope is Korea’s longest course. It begins at the Peak of Deogyusan Seolcheon Mountain and follows the snow-covered landscape all the way to the base. The Raiders Course has the steepest slopes in the entire nation.As well as the truly great skiing on offer, the Deogyusan Resort also provides a wide selection of food and entertainment.

Art Center K

Art Center K (formerly Wonder Space) reopened in February 2012, offers art programs in Daehangno, a neighborhood of youth, romance and culture. Daegwallyeong Skyranch

Established in 1974, the Great Mountains Sky Ranch has a 40-year-old history with a huge ranch of 900 million (=three times the size of Yeouido in Seoul). Yongpyong Ski Resort
Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Yongpyong Resort is situated at the center of Korea’s Baekdudaegan Mountain Range, and sees an average of 250 centimeters of snowfall per season, which makes for excellent skiing conditions. Not only that, the resort’s enormous seventeen million square meter complex includes a 45-hole golf course, gondolas, swimming pool, and other facilities. This all-season recreational complex allows visitors to escape from daily life and relax. Yongpyong Resort has an impressive twenty-eight ski slopes, including the popular Rainbow Slopes, and offers excellent facilities for skiers. The park’s fifteen ski-lifts include a 3.7km cable-car and the resort's Dragon Plaza is the largest ski complex in Asia, offering a variety of services for skiers and snowboarders. Yongpyong Resort has hosted a number of international competitions, including the World Cup Ski Competition and the Asian Winter Games. It is consequently one of the most popular ski resorts in Korea, and is frequented by many tourists. Accommodation options include condominiums, a hotel, and a youth hostel. Yongpyong Resort is a 2-hour drive away from Seoul, but the resort runs shuttle buses from Seoul during peak season. Visitors traveling from the Daegu and Yeongnam regions can take the Jungang and Jungbu Inland Expressways, and arrive at Yongpyong Resort within three hours.

Daegu Motorcycle Street
Daegu(Jung-gu)

Motorcycle Street is located in Ingyo-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu along Sijangbuk-ro Road. The street was originally a creek lined with houses, but in 1953 the creek was covered over and made into a paved road. Gas stations and stores selling automotive parts sprung up, turning the area into a thriving commercial district. In 1961, the first motorcycle store opened its doors and was quickly followed by several more.Currently there are 40 motorcycle stores, making this 200 meter-long street one of Daegu’s most unique shopping areas. With a vast array of new and secondhand motorcycles (both domestic and imported) motorcycle enthusiasts will be in their glory. Shoppers will also find a wide selection of motorcycle parts and accessories.

Paldalmun Gate
Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si) , suwon

Paldalmun Gate is the southern gate of Hwaseong Fortress, designated National Treasure No. 402. A crescent shaped 'ongseong' (defensive secondary wall to prevent the main gate from being broken down with logs) is built on the outside of the door. On the right wall of the gate is a nameplate which contains the names of the people involved in the construction of the gate. The Paldalmun Gate is unique in that it is detached from the rest of the gates, and located in the middle of the busy city. The reason for this is because commerce took roots around the gates before its reconstruction, making it impossible to build in that area.

63 Wax Museum

The 63 Wax Museum (B3 of 63 City) is the first celebrity wax museum in Korea and is a moderately-sized facility with 70 figures categorized into 11 sections.In the Hall of Fame, visitors can meet former Korean leaders such as Gimgu, Park Jeong Hee, and Kim Dae Jung. Wax figures of Einstein, Gandhi, and Beethoven can be seen in the Historical Figures section and David Beckham and Tiger Woods are among the famous figures in the Sports Star section. The museum also offers unique sections such as the Scary Gallery, Animation Zone, and more.

World Cup Park

World Cup Park was built to commemorate the 17th FIFA World Cup, held in Korea. Opened May 1st, 2002, the park was once a 15-year-old landfill that held over 92 million tons of garbage. It took 6 years to stabilize the waste (measures were taken to prevent the garbage runoff from contaminating the environment) and an additional year to build the actual park itself. The park is located near Seoul World Cup Stadium, and is made up of five smaller parks including Pyeonghwa 'Peace' Park, Haneul 'Sky' Park, and Noeul 'Sunset' Park. The park takes up a 1.05 million-pyeong area and is usually crowded with in-line skaters. * Pyeonghwa Park: Closest to Seoul World Cup Stadium, it holds a pond, garden, children’s playground, and forest. It is often used as a picnic area and place for nature studies. * Nanjicheon Park: Nanjicheon Park was developed from the Nanji Stream, which flowed under Haneul Park. It was once overflowing with sewage runoff from the nearby landfill, but it has since been beautifully restored into a park with clear water. It contains an outdoor stage and various sports facilities. * Nanji Hangang Park: Nanji Hangang Park was developed on the banks of the Hangang River. It contains a campground, soccer field, basketball court, grass field, cruise ship port, and an area for nature studies. * Haneul Park : Of the 5 World Cup Parks, Haneul Park is at the highest elevation. Once a mountain of garbage, it is now a green hill with 22 lookout points offering breathtaking views of Seoul, Namsan, Bukhansan, and Gwanaksan Mountains. 5 wind-powered generators provide power to the park and the park’s maintenance office. During the Seoul Eulalia Festival, the park is open until late in the evening * Noeul Park: Noeul Park contains a 9-hole golf course and takes up a vast area of land that was once a landfill. The park was constructed as a grassland because too much development may have caused damage to the environment, due to the buried waste. Jangchungdan Park
Seoul(Jung-gu) , Dongdaemun

Jangchungdan Park is located on the north-eastern foot of Mt. Namsan. On August 20th, 1895, Empress Myeongseong was killed by Japanese soldiers in Gyeongbok Palace and many Korean soldiers such as Gyeongjik (I) and Hong Gyehun died while trying to hold back the intruders. In memory of these soldiers, Emperor Gojong built the Jangchungdan Shrine on November, 1900 (currently the site of the Shilla Hotel guesthouse). The shrine was lost during the Korean War and the area was renovated into a park in 1919.On September 22 1984, Jangchungdan Park was designated the 374th neighborhood park of Korea and part of the park was merged with Namsan Park. The remaining area retained the name “Jangchungdan Park” and is still home to cultural assets such as the Jangchungdan Memorial Stone, Supyogyo, Seungjeongjeon, Gwanseongmyo, and Waryongmyo. The park is considered a landmark of patriotism since it contains the 1919 Independence Movement of Korea Memorial Stone and other monuments dedicated to people such as Han Yongun, Yu Gwansun, and Gim Yonghwan who have fought for the independence of Korea.
