Boseong Ganggol Traditional Village [Information Network Village]
Jeollanam-do(Boseong-gun)

Ganggol village is one of the few remaining Hanok villages from the Joseon Dynasty that has maintained its original look. Most of the houses in the village were built by the Gwangju Lee Clan after the 19th century. About 30 houses stand closely together with Obongsan Mountain located behind the village. Old cherry blossom, magnolia, and pomegranate trees stand throughout the village, protecting the houses. Stone walls between the houses are covered with ivy and bamboo. With all the scenery, the village retains the atmosphere of a typical Korean old town. In the Ganggol Village Experience Program, participants spend a night at the traditional Hanok village where Koreans actually lived during the Joseon Dynasty to experience the lifestyle of the old days (using conventional toilets and getting water from a well, etc.). In addition, during the cherry blossom blooming period, participants also have the chance to experience into the beauty of cherry blossoms at the Cherry Blossom Café at Deungnyang Train Station. From spring through early autumn, participants are surrounded by the beautiful scenery and scent of the misty Boseong green tea fields at dawn. An eco experience programs runs from spring to fall and offers participants a chance to catch clams and mud shrimp at Deungnyangman Bay.

Yongso Valley

Yongso Valley is a 10km-long valley that starts from Gwangam-ni, Naechon-myeon, passes Duchon-myeon, Gaeseong-ni and then reaches Cheonhyeon-ni. The valley boasts picturesque scenery with crystal clear waters and uniquely shaped rocks. The outstanding scenic beauty of the valley is comparable to that of Naeseorak. In spring the valley is full of azaleas in full bloom, and autumn foliage and silver grass in fall. In summer, visitors can enjoy cool and breezy weather in the valley. Bongsan Cultural Center is a comprehensive culture & arts complex located on Bongsan Culture Street in downtown Daegu. The center serves to satisfy the cultural desire of Daegu citizens and promote their emotional development. The center has five modern exhibition halls (Exhibition Hall No. 1-4 and Art Space) and two performance halls (Gaon Hall with 442 seats, and Space Raon with 90 seats). As the center is located near Banwoldang Station (Daegu Subway Line 1), it is easily accessible by public transportation.

With the aim of enriching the lives of Dong-gu district’s inhabitants, Ayang Art Center (former Donggu Arts & Sports Center) is equipped with a wide range of facilities for hosting performances, exhibitions, culture classes, sport events, etc. Available facilities include a grand performance hall (1,165 seats), variable black box theater (200 seats), outdoor performance hall (400 seats), recreation ground, exhibition hall, culture and arts educational facilities, a wedding hall, sports center with a swimming pool, and a fitness center. As of March 1, 2013, the center's name has been changed from Donggu Arts & Sports Center to Ayang Art Center.

Anmyeondo Open Set
Chungcheongnam-do(Taean-gun)

About two billion won was invested to build the Anmyeondo Island Open Set for Taewangsasingi (Legend), on a site spanning 9,744-㎡ in Nudong-ri, Gonam-myeon, Taean-gun. The set houses military tents for field operations led by the great King Gwanggaeto. The place was used mainly to film glorious battle scenes first introduced in episode 15. Scenes of Goguryeo armored warriors bravely riding horses were filmed here. The new, tough image of Dam-deok, who appeared rather gentle at the beginning of the drama, attracted attention. In particular, a spectacular battle scene from the final episode was filmed at Anmyeondo. Computer graphics as well as about 1,000 extras created a fantastic scene.

Songso House (청송 송소고택)

Located in Cheongsong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Songso House also known as "Sim Wealthy Family House" was built around the 1880s. The house has all the features of a typical aristocrat house during the Joseon dynasty, consisting of a large sarangbang (main building) and individual chambers with a square-shaped front yard at their center. The complex has an annex building on the side, where it has been renovated and now used as a guesthouse for travelers. Visitors spending a night at this traditional building can enjoy the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, as well as try out playing various traditional games.

Wolgot Harbor (월곶포구)

‘Got’ in the name of Wolgot means ‘peninsula’ and it is also called ‘dalwol,’ and the area was considered an important strategic point during the Joseon Dynasty. In 1991 a land reclaimation project succeeded in creating a new recreation site. Now there are many seafood restaurants, various auxiliary facilities, and an amusement park that rest on reclaimed land. Because the inlet is located on the west coast where the difference in the water level between high and low tide is great, fishing boats avoid the area during the shifting tides. But, whenever the boats return, visitors can enjoy fresh sushi and other seafood. The Marine World facilities have authentic European-style restaurants, an outdoor seawater pool that can be used free of charge, and a barbecue facility along with other amenities.
