Studio J is a bar that was created by collaboration between JYP Entertainment and a famous bar in the Chungdam District called Y1975. The bar is setup with a live stage where you can enjoy many varieties of music and new sights; for instance, the LED lights, the stairway, and the grand interior are all designed to make you think of the red carpet. It is a place where the idol group, “Eunneessu,” who debuted through Slamdunk of Sisters, shot their music video for their song “Shut Up.” Also, surprise concerts by JYP entertainment artists such as G Soul, Pak A Yun, and Park Ji Min all happen in Studio J.

BBQ Hapjeong Star Branch

If you want to enjoy “Chimak,” which is the main feature in Korean street cuisine, you can take a look at BBQ Hapjeong Star Branch, which is owned and operated by the parents of Seong Yeol, from the Korean boy band. It is located in front of the 3rd exit; so, it is very easy to reach. The chicken is fried with olive oil. They also sell pizza, pasta, etc., which you can buy together with chicken, which gives the menu a wide variety. The nickname of the restaurant, which is given by Seong Yeol’s fans is called, “Yeol BQ,” with part of his name, “Yeol,” in the nickname. You can see posters and photos of Seong Yeol. The store is known as, “a kind store,” through word by mouth.

On Ne Sait Jamais is a French phrase which, roughly translated, means "you never know." On Ne Sait Jamais in Seoul is a popular dessert shop and cafe that offers delicious baked treats with a fun Korean sauna-inspired interior. White Bear Makgeolli Bar & Brewery offers the largest selection of traditional Korean liquors in the country; boasting over 180 different varieties. The bar and brewery is located near Apgujeong Rodeo Street. The selection of liquors available is truly vast, with everything from the well-known to the obscure. The selection includes varieties of takju (unrefined rice wine), varieties of cheongju (refined rice wine) and soju. The culinary offerings tend toward fusion rather than traditional Korean fare. The menu offers anju (snacks) as well as entrees that pair well with traditional liquors. Craft beer is also sold on the B1 level.

The MIN’s is a café, which the mother of Chang Min from the boy band 2pm operates. Chang Min frequently visits at the cafe. During the summer, artisan lemonade and ice cream is served, and, during the winter season, organic teas such as lime tea, lemon-ginger tea, and apple-cinnamon tea, which are all made with love, are some of its popular menu choices. For the K-Wave fans who come from abroad, there are menus, which are translated into English, Japanese, and Chinese. Through Twitter, the members of the BTS boy band posted a photo update, which they took at The Min’s cafe to show that they frequent Min’s cafe. The post quickly went viral. Wiki Cafe

Wiki Cafe is a cafe near Gyeongbokgung Palace and is owned and operated by the mother of Sung Min from Super Junior, the famous boy band. With light steps, and just as if you are in your neighbor’s home, you can walk up the wooden stairs to the 2nd floor of the cafe, which is a terrace, and on that terrace, you can see a view Gyeongbokgung Palace. During the evening, as lights fall on the rampart stairs of Kwangwhamun, it creates/exudes a very warm mood. It is a good place to rest after viewing Gyeongbokgung Palace, Kwangwhamun Plaza, and galleries around these attractions. Its menu is filled with beverages such as coffee and teas, desserts such as waffles, cakes, and many other varieties of desserts. Imagine what it would be like: having a warm cup of tea while sitting on a terrace that overlooks Gyeongbokung Palace.   In the cafe, there are all kinds of pictorials and photos of Sung Min from Super Junior. Also, on one corner in the cafe, there are many messages from fans written on the wall, and they are countless! There are also various forms of merchandise that are sold there; the merch shows different characterized versions of Sung Min

Kamong is a cafe, which is owned and operated by the sister of Kai from the Korean boy band EXO. Kamong, which means ‘Dreaming Kai,’ is also known as a gathering place/meeting spot for Kai’s fans. One of the most popular menu items is the ice cream waffle, which has assorted fresh fruits added to it. On the cups, napkins, and other small props in the cafe, you can find that there are copies of drawings and messages that Kai drew/wrote himself. Frequently, people bump into Kai and other EXO members visiting the cafe.

Bonjour Hawaii is an exotic fusion restaurant. Just by looking taking a glance at parasol rooftop which is by its main entrance, you can tell that the restaurant exudes exotic atmosphere/mood. The interior, small details, and the traditional Hawaiian music will have you mistaken that, in fact, you are at a cafe in Hawaii somewhere. It’s main dishes include, “BBQ Sunset Platter,” (It is a dish that has a set of ingredients: sausage, potato, chicken kebab, shrimp, Korean style pork), and “Cream Curry Udon,” which is just one of its many unique dishes on Bonjour Hawaii’s menu. Also, a pizza so addicting that it is nicknamed, “Drug Pizza,” is its specialty pizza called, “Sushi Pizza,” together with a fruit punch cocktail, you do not have to be jealous of someone who just went on a trip to Hawaii.     Through the restaurant’s appearance in the drama, “Doctors,” it created curiosity in the viewer’s mind. Since after the appearance it has become Hongdae’s, “hot place,” through words by mouth. Specifically, Bonjour Hawaii took on a role of a cafe that the main character Yoo Hae Jung (Park Shin Hae), operated. Back then, the restaurant was called, “ Suni Hawaii,” and Hong Ji Hong (Kim Rae Won), Ryu Hye Jung (Park Shin Hye) who are couples in the drama, “Doctors,” had scenes where they were drinking beer, while enjoying their date.

Seochon Traditional Sundae Soup House

Seochon Traditional Sundae Soup House is considered a must-visit destination. It was shown in the Korean drama series, “Doctors, as a restaurant owned by the father of the main character, Yoo Hye Jung (actress: Park Shin Hye). It is known for its special deep-tasting beef broth, which they brew with marrowbone for 24 hours. Its old-fashioned, traditional style Hanok architecture and its neat interior evokes the Korean traditional castle: Gyeongbokgung and its surroundings. Not only is the Sundae Soup first in its class, the in-house Kimchi is one of the best in its category as well. After the meal, don’t forget to take a photo where the “Doctors” couple, Jiho-Hyejung, enjoyed rice soup.
