Seoul(Gangseo-gu) , The Western Part of the Seoul

Bongraeheon serves savory royal Korean dishes in a great natural environment. It was designated a Proud Korean Restaurant in 2007 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. It is located in a traditional Korean building built by Lee Il-gu, a master carpenter and Human Cultural Property who participated in the restoration of Gyeongbokgung Palace. With high ceilings, the whole building has a soothing smell of pine. It’s a popular place for business dining as well as the first meeting between the parents of soon-to-be bride and groom. The restaurant specializes in course meals including gujeolpan, geonoljeolpan, sinseonno, jeonbokcho, hanbang kkorijjim, and stone baked mushrooms.


Seoul(Jung-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

Yonggeumok's specialized stew includes tofu, fried tofu, spring onion, onion, oyster mushroom, tree ear mushroom, and other condiments added to broth boiled with lamb and its intestines overnight. Pre-cooked loaches are added in the end, creating a spicy yet savory flavor with chewy texture (loaches can be ground upon request). The restaurant serves Gyeongsang-do style, Jeolla-do style and Seoul-style chueo tang (loach stew).    


Busan(Busanjin-gu)

Hoeguksu Halmaejip has been well-known for its hoe-guksu (noodles with raw fish) for the duration of its more than 50-year tradition.


Seoul(Seongbuk-gu)

As the nation's oldest restaurant, Bearhouse offers a beautiful view of the Bugak Mountain Skyway and refreshing clean air. Though the restaurant may be a little hard to find, all guests are rewarded with a delicious meal when they visit.

Korean beef bulgogi (marinated thinly-sliced beef) and gomguksu (wheat flour noodles in a thick beef bone soup) are the most popular items here. Another popular menu item is the North Korean-style wangmandu (large dumpling). Because they serve simple main dishes and elaborate side dishes, this place is a favorite with many.

For the past 30 years, the restaurant has been serving up Gaeseong-style (Old capital of Goryeo Dynasty), which is said to be experienced using each of the five senses. Though the restaurant offers a variety of traditional course meals, the best-selling course is Haewon Jeongsik. This special set meal typically starts with porridge for soothing the stomach and then moves on to more substantial dishes like Kimchi, mung bean jelly, vegetable dishes, pork, beef, jeon (Korean-style pancakes), Gujeolpan (a platter of nine delicacies), Tteokgalbi (grilled short rib meat patties), rice steamed in bamboo, and desserts. Private rooms are also available in various sizes for business meetings or special family gatherings.


Seoul(Gangnam-gu) , Gangnam・Samseongdong(COEX)

Situated in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, Wonjo Ssambabjib opened in 1993. The restaurant uses around 30 different types of fresh vegetables along with ssamjang made from soybean paste. The dishes at the restaurant, the most popular being planed pork belly, are so unique that the restaurant has even had some of the recipes patented!


Seoul(Yongsan-gu) , Itaewon・Yongsan
