Daejeonghyanggyo Confucian School
Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Daejeonghyanggyo is a Confucian school during Joseon Dynasty. Although the exact date of construction is uncertain, it is estimated that the building was built at around the same time as Daejeonghyeon in 1416. The school was originally located inside Bukseong. It moved outside Dongmun and then moved again to the site of Seoseong. It was moved to Dansan Oreum where it remains to this day. At present, Daejeonghyanggyo Confucian School consists of Daeseongjeon, Myeongryundang, Dongjae, Seojae Shinsammun, Daeseongmun, Dongmalmun and Dongjeongmun. Daeseongjeon was remodeled in 1669, 1688, and 1752. Myeongryundang was rebuilt in 1772. After several instances of remodeling and rebuilding, Daeseongjeon was remodeled again in 1993. The Confucian school was designated as Jeju Tangible Cultural Asset No. 4 in August 1971.

Dodong Lighthouse
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Ulleung-gun)

Located in the north of Dodonghang Port, Dodong Lighthouse is also called Haengnam Lighthouse. From here, you can get a great view of Jeodonghang Port and its surrounding sea. The coastline walk path, starting from the left of Dodonghang Port, leads to the lighthouse. Another way is through the Haengnam mountain path behind Ulleung-gun Office. The 1.4-kilometer walk path from Dodonghang Port to Dodong Lighthouse is fascinating and the round trip takes roughly an hour and a half. On clear days, you can see Dokdo to the east from atop the lighthouse. To the north, you can see the beautiful landscape of Jeodonghang, Chotdae Candlestick rock, and Seonginbong Peak (the symbol of Ulleungdo). The lighthouse has long served as a beacon for Ulleung sailors. In 2006, it was newly renovated to include a small park and exhibition gallery. Nearby, there is Dodong Yaksu Spring. The sparkling water is said to help digestion and treat skin problems.

Uidong Valley
Seoul(Gangbuk-gu)

The valley between Bukhansan Mountain and Donbongsan Mountain is called "Uidong Valley." It earned the name "Uidong" because the two peaks of Bukhansan Mountain, Baegundae and Insubong, look like cow's ears. One of the trails leading up to Bukhansan Mountain and Dobongsan Mountain also starts here.

Unmunsa Temple
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Cheongdo-gun)

Unmunsa Temple (운문사) in Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do belongs to Cheongdo-gun in terms of administrative district. However, it is actually better connected to Daegu. Unmunsa Temple was built in 560 during the Silla period. This ancient temple features seven treasured artifacts including an old pine tree (natural monument) and stone lantern. There are four small temples (Sariam, Naewonam, Bukdaeam and Cheongsinam) around the temple. Meanwhile, the surrounding forest of pine and fir trees only enhances the temple’s beauty. Unmunsa is the largest Buddhist nunnery in Korea, maintaining a capacity of roughly 260 nuns who practice Buddhism for four year periods. But, thanks to its magnificence and lush forest, Mt. Unmunsan, located on the southernmost part of Taebaek Mountains, has become a favorite spot for many tourists.

Sangju Museum

Deokpo Beach

Deokpo Beach is a white sandy beach in the city of Geoje in Gyeongsangnam-do. The 450m-long and 40m-wide beach offers fine sand, clear waters, a gentle slope and old sea pine trees along the coast. The sound of the waves hitting the small pebbles, give a romantic atmosphere, especially at night. Nearby attractions include the Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park, which was built in 1996 to commemorate the victory of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, and the Okpo Shipyard of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering with a giant shipyard crane.
