Chungcheongnam-do(Geumsan-gun)


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Mungyeong-si)

The path to Buljeong Recreational Forest, lined with cherry blossom trees, is a beautiful and dense forest that offers a relaxing walk among the trees. The free forest tour from March to December offers visitors a guided tour complete with commentary. The resting area in the forest includes a forest cabin and a camping site. Built between trees, the forest cabins are either log houses or red-clay houses. 12 of the 14 houses open all year round. In addition, the nine zip line courses add more excitement to the whole forest experience.


Jeollanam-do(Mokpo-si)

Dokcheon Restaurant serves the best octopus dishes in Honam. Dishes made with long-legged octopus are excellent, also Nakji-bibimbap (octopus bibimbap) with seasoning and vegetables has more flavor due to the various seasonings and sesame oil fresh from the countryside.


Jeollabuk-do(Sunchang-gun)

Hoemunsan Recreational Forest (회문산자연휴양림) is situated south of Hoemunsan Mountain (830m). Since the area boasts clean valleys and various tree forests it is a good place for people who want to enjoy their rest and take leisurely strolls. In addition, above the waterfall there is a vast cloud bridge where people can feel the thrilling forces of nature. Long time ago, Hoemunsan Mountain was used as a battleground during the Korean War (1950-1953) and still features several relics that date back to that time.   Within Hoemunsan Recreational Forest, there are promenades, sporting equipment, a headquarters’ base, and an observatory. Lodging facilities include Forest Cabin, a forest lodge, camping decks, and camping grounds. Reservations can be made through the homepage (Korean).


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geochang-gun)

Cheoyongam is a very small rocky island sitting in the middle of Gaeunpo Inlet in front of Saejuk Village in Hwangseong-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. It is a historic islet related to the famous folktale of Cheoyong. The tale is about a dragon that emerged from the east sea along with his seven sons at the end of the Silla Kingdom (57BC - 935AD). One of the dragon’s sons named Cheoyong came to the capital and married a beautiful woman. One night, he found an evil spirit trying to attack his wife so he sang and danced, whereupon the spirit presented itself and kneeled in apology. Since then, people have used the image of Cheoyong to dispel evil spirits. The dance that Cheoyong is said to have performed has been titled Cheoyongmu and has been designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property. Cheoyongam is the sacred rock where the dragon in the tale is said to have appeared. There are many attractions nearby including Mokdo Island (Natural Monument No. 65), which offers magnificent lush greenery all year round.


Chungcheongnam-do(Boryeong-si)

Located in Boryeong near to Daecheon Beach of the West Sea, Hotel View is standing on a hill from which you can see blue sea and Anmyeon-do. In nearby oyster roasting restaurants, you can have natural flavors with your lovers or friends. Looking out the window from the room, there is beautiful and wide sea that makes you think that you are in somewhere out of Korea. You can taste blue crab and webfoot ocopus in Daecheon Harbor and will have fun in the mud festival that is held every year in Daecheon Beach.


Chungcheongnam-do(Taean-gun)

Located on the Taean Coast, Yeonpo Beach has been a desired vacation spot since 1972. The long stretch of curved sandy beach provides magnificent scenery. It is famous as the beach with the longest period of seasonal operation in the country thanks to its relatively high water temperature resulting from the warm currents. The pine groves and oddly shaped rocks along the coastline make for a fine view.


Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

National Center for Forest Activities Chuncheon is 335 ha of area located near Samhangol Valley. The center has a slogan PLAY meaning P for Play, L for Lead, A for Act, and Y for You. Various facilities are available including area for experience programs, accommodations, restaurants and more. Experience programs for individuals and groups are available as well as special programs for people with disabilities and elderlies.


Seoul(Jungnang-gu)

With its altitude of 348m, Yongmasan Mountain is the highest peak of Achasan Mountain located in Dong-hyeon of Myeongmok-dong. The mountain stretches through the ridges of Manguri Park and Junggok-dong, and continues its way past Achasan Mountain Fotress to near the back gate of Children’s Grand Park, adding up to a total area of 2,800,619㎡. * Yongma Waterfall Park Located at Mountain 1-4 bunji of Myeonmok-dong, Yongma Waterfall is composed of three branches of waterfall with Yongma Waterfall at its center and Cheongryong Waterfall to its left and Baekma Waterfall to its right. Yongma Waterfall is a two-layered waterfall with a x_height of 51.4m and x_width of 3~10m. The x_height of Cheongryong Waterfall is 21m and Baekma Waterfall 21.4m. * Yongmasan Sagajeong Park Opened in April 13, 2004, Sagajeong Park is located at the entrance of Myeonmok Drinking Well with an area of 106,446㎡. The park was named after scholar and writer Seo Geo-jeong who had written historical records of the Joseon period as he had lived nearby Yongmasan Mountain. Stone monuments encrypted with four of his most representative poems are raised for visitors to read while relaxing at the park. The park offers various facilities such as picnic areas, playground, outdoor exercise equipments, stream, sagajeong (traditional pavilion) and others so that visitors may conveniently relax and enjoy their time at the park.


Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

Also known as a town of three mountains and two streams, or “Little Zhejiang” (a popular region in China known for its beautiful scenery), Suncheon got its name from two nobles of the town in the late Baekje Era. They “followed the will of the heavens,” and established the city in the Goryeo Dynasty. In Korean, Suncheon means “Following the will of the heavens.”The station opened on October 25, 1930 and moved into a new building on December 22, 2009 for the 2012 Yeosu Expo and 2013 Suncheon Bay Garden Expo. It serves as a transportation hub for the eastern regions of Korea.
