NANTA is a top non-verbal cooking performance show about four chefs who must prepare a wedding banquet in just one hour. The plot is depicted through various genres of performances, including percussion that uses kitchen utensils to make beats based on traditional rhythms of samulnori (traditional percussion quartet). The entire show has no spoken dialogue, yet plenty of comedy and romance, too. Meanwhile, since its debut in October 1997, NANTA (also known as Cookin') has earned international acclaim, being staged on Broadway and at other famous venues worldwide.

Yonggeumok's specialized stew includes tofu, fried tofu, spring onion, onion, oyster mushroom, tree ear mushroom, and other condiments added to broth boiled with lamb and its intestines overnight. Pre-cooked loaches are added in the end, creating a spicy yet savory flavor with chewy texture (loaches can be ground upon request). The restaurant serves Gyeongsang-do style, Jeolla-do style and Seoul-style chueo tang (loach stew).

Designated as one of reknowned histroric sites in capital of Seoul (Historic Site No. 297), the museum is located within Mongchontoseong Station (Seoul Subway Line 8), and it houses the best-known relics and remains from ancient Baekje culture. The highlight of its exhibition includes the discoveries from Hangang River as well as more of early kingdom's great heritages. The Mongchon Museum of History displays artifacts from the excavations of the earthen fortifications as well as other artifacts of the Baekje Kingdom period, offering a glimpse into Baekje culture. A model of a Baekje dugout hut site reveals ancient dwelling patterns. Also, the facility displays perfectly preserved model of ancient houses, tombs, giving you the feel of traveling back to prehistoric ages. The museum serves as an educational institution for children and families, providing a wide assortment of cultural programs. However, visitors should note that some programs are limited as reservations are required for participation.


Seoul(Jung-gu) , Myeongdong

Opened during the remodeling of Myeong-dong Cathedral, Bistro 74 is a Korean Western fusion restaurant located at the first floor of the Myeong-dong Cathedral. Its feature dishes like fusion rice and quality-made sandwiches, and it’s a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee. Its terrace is especially popular as a place to peacefully enjoy the sites and people of Myeong-dong, and they also do take-out. 


Seoul(Yongsan-gu) , Itaewon・Yongsan

Pork belly, a cut that is greatly beloved by people in Korea, is a main staple of Korean barbeque. In Korean dramas, it’s very common to see people enjoying samgyeopsal with soju and has become an almost iconic part of Korean food culture. Wrapping the meat with rice, garlic, and ssamjang (bean paste) in lettuce is a popular way to eat samgyeopsal. The Children’s Museum is a hands-on experience museum run by the National Folk Museum of Korea. A variety of visual aids and assembly models allow children to touch and feel pieces and experience folk history in an interactive way. The theme of the exhibition consists of folk clothing, food, shelter, social life, and entertainment. The museum has a number of interactive spaces including a table set for an ancestral ritual, magnet miniatures depicting a baby’s first birthday, and an area where young visitors can build a folk house. Young learners can also create an avatar clad in Hanbok, make Kimchi using visual aids, or play Gonu (a traditional board game). The museum also collects, preserves, and maintains relics and historical items related to youth and youth culture.

Korean beef bulgogi (marinated thinly-sliced beef) and gomguksu (wheat flour noodles in a thick beef bone soup) are the most popular items here. Another popular menu item is the North Korean-style wangmandu (large dumpling). Because they serve simple main dishes and elaborate side dishes, this place is a favorite with many.

Palais de Seoul is an art gallery that first opened in January 2010 in Tongui-dong, Seochon of Gyeongbokgung Palace, a rising hub of culture and art in Seoul. Palais de Seoul, meaning a palace in Seoul in French, is 330py in size with 1 basement floor and 2 floors above the ground. The gallery houses three exhibition halls, an art shop on the first floor and a rooftop garden that accommodates various events and opening ceremonies for the exhibitions the gallery holds. Hosting various genres of exhibitions ranging from paintings, photos, videos, body paintings to glass installations, the art gallery has been leading the effort to promote the work of art of the famous artists from home and abroad, as well as some experimental artwork of new young talents.
