Suwonhyanggyo Confucian School

The Suwon Hyanggyo is one of the Confucian temple and school to teach local students in the Chosŏn Dynasty period (1392~ 1910).The Suwon Hyanggyo houses the memorial tables of Confucius, Mencius, and twenty-five notable historical Korean figures. The structure was originally built in the 22nd year of King Wonjong’s rule during the Goryeo era (918-1392) by Hwaseonggun, but was moved to its current location when Hwaseong Fortress was constructed.

International Horticulture Goyang Korea

First held in 1997, the Goyang International Flower Exhibition has attracted about over 5.7 million visitors thus far, including the 8th Flower Exhibition in 2014. The event is considered to be Korea’s representative international flower exhibition. This year’s festival will be taken place in Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang city from April to May with 320 related organizations, groups, and companies from 35 countries, to showcase flowers and various products made with flowers. Also, unique and rare plants exhibition, indoor garden decorated with flower art pieces, outdoor theme parks, making of flower plant experience, flower arrangement contests, as well as other cultural events and performances will be planned to add more joy to the flower festival.

Yangji Pine Resort Ski Valley

In 2004, to mark the 100th anniversary of Park’s birth, the gallery created a foundation with the dual purpose of studying Park and his works and indentifying undiscovered traditional artists in Korea. Ever since the establishment of the foundation, the gallery had increased in both collection size and quantity year after year.
