Icheon Termeden has an area of around 30,000 square meters. It is Korea’s first German style spa resort. It is located next to a thick forest, so visitors can enjoy the water and spa facilities and then take a stroll in the forest. The water park has a very large bade pool (a shallow pool that has many underwater massage jets), a hot spring spa, various sport facilities, arcades, a cultural hall, and various other subsidiary facilities.Unlike Japanese style spas, which contain mainly hot baths, Germany style western spas are more focused on water massages. Water jets located in the bade pool shoot out water, which massages various parts of the body and at the same time revitalizes the skin. In addition, you can walk, swim, or exercise in the water stream pool, which has a depth of 120 cm.Icheon Termeden started as a hot spring spa, but it plans to expand further into a multi-resort complex, which will include hotel and condominium facilities, an arboretum, a golf driving range, and horseback riding.

National Heritage Center

The Natural Heritage Center was established to help the locals to learn about  the value and importance of natural heritages through exhibitions and education on the methodical study of natural heritages and national monuments. Fossils(i.e. dinosaurs' eggs and footprint), animal specimens (eagles, asiatic black bear), botanical specimens (i.e. jondo-ri pine tree) and many other natural heritages are exhibited. With guidance by professional researchers, youths can take the opportunity to learn more about natural heritages through hands-on activities, video education and many other experiential programs that are only provided by the Natural Heritage Center.   Through academic exchanges with the UNESCO, international organizations specializing in natural heritages ( Natural History Museum) and other research institution are in progress of developing more exhibitions on display. The center has an outdoor learning space where an eco pond, specimens of the dinosaurs' footprints and wild plants can be found. It is also home to various botanical specimens such as polyphylla of jeongipum pine tree including miseon namu (Abeliophyllum), Korean necklace pod (Echinosophora), insular abelia and more treasured species.

Daejeon Station is located in the center of the country, and is a key stop on the Korea Railroad (KORAIL) line. The station opened January 1, 1905, when the railway between Seoul and Busan opened. Located in the old downtown area on the southeast side of Daejeon, the station serves as a railway transportation hub. All the passenger trains bound for Korea’s major cities including Seoul, Gwangju, Dongdaegu (East Daegu), Busan, Ulsan, and Pohang pass through this station. The Seomyeon subway station is also the transfer station for lines no.1 and no.2. The station is surrounded by an underground shopping mall where you can shop for clothes, accessories, and cosmetics, while restaurants, theaters, and stationery stores are clustered around the Daehwa Department Store nearby. There are also many restaurants and stores for Japanese tourists located around the Lotte Department Store, which stands on the west side of the subway station. The wholesale clothing market sits on the south side of the station, along with the CGV Theater and an enormous outlet mart. Lastly, the Migliore Fashion Mall is conveniently connected to the Seomyeon subway station.
