Jirisan National Park

A lush tapestry of cool mountain valleys, majestic waterfalls, and towering peaks, Jirisan National Park has the proud distinction of being Korea’s first official national park. The Jirisan Mountain Range extends across three of Korea’s southernmost provinces: Jeollabuk-do, Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do. The mountain is home to 6 temples in the Gyeongsangnam-do area alone (Ssanggyesa Temple, Daewonsa Temple, Naewonsa Temple, Beopgyesa Temple, Chilbulsa Temple and Silsangsa Temple) and is revered in part for its stunning scenery. The Chilseon and Hansin valley areas are particularly well known for their beauty and are frequented by tourists throughout the year.

Located in front of the Traditional Gochujang Folk Village in Sunchang, Jeollabuk-do, Sunchang Jangnyu Experience Center offers visitors the opportunity to sample and make tasty dishes using Sunchang Gochujang (red pepper paste). Visitors can make the refined Sunchang Gochujang in the traditional manner along with a variety of other popular dishes such as Injeolmi (rice cake coated with bean powder) and Twibap (popped rice snack). Azelea Oriental Medical Clinic

Azelea Oriental Medical Clinic, located inside Pineridge Resort of Gangwon-do, offers treatment combining Hanbang (Oriental medicine) and spa treatments. Hongbeopsa Temple
Busan(Geumjeong-gu)

Hongbeopsa Temple is located in Geumjeong dugu-dong, Busan, known for its largest bronze Amida Buddha Statue (21m). Surrounded by Mt. Cheolmasan and Mt. Geumjeongsan, a beatiful scenery is revealed and it stretches to Suyonggang river, making one feel as if you were in Yeonhwajang, the ideal world, filled with lotus flowers in Buddhism. Paroho Lake

Paroho Lake (파로호) is a manmade lake created when Hwacheon Dam was built in the valley of the Bukhangang River (북한강). The lake is capable of holding up to one billion tons of water and the Dam of Peace is located further upstream. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt Il and Wolmyeongbong Peak as well as the thick forest and pristine valleys in the surrounding area. As Paroho Lake’s unpolluted water is home to many kinds of freshwater fish such as carp, crucian carp, catfish and mandarin fish, the lake is gaining popularity as an excellent fishing spot.

Gapgotdondae Fortification
Incheon(Ganghwa-gun) , Ganghwado Island

Gapgot Fortification was built in 1679 to protect the Ganghwa Straits from invasions. A highly strategic location for the Goryeo Kingdom, the site had also endured multiple invasions by the Mongolian troops between 1232 and 1270. The eight cannons that were set up at the time of the fortification construction are displayed at the site.

Bukpyeong 5-Day Market
Gangwon-do(Donghae-si)

The Bukpyeong 5-Day Market takes place in Gumi-dong, Donghae-si each months on days ending in a 3 or an 8.The market began in Donghae-si around 1796 (King Jeongjo’s 20th year). Its original site was around Jeoncheon Stream but was moved to the mouth of the stream when the waterway altered. The market eventually settled down at its current site in 1932.
