Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

'Buncheongsagi (a grayish-blue-powdered celadon)' is a type of ceramic ware used during the 15th and 16th centuries, during the transition period from Cheongja (green celadon porcelain) to Baekja (white porcelain). This Korean-style ceramic ware has received high acclaim for the simplicity of its beauty. This festival takes place in October every year in Gimhae, Korea’s most famous ceramic village. This festival sells this special ceramic ware, such as tea cups, made in the traditional methods with discounts of up to 30 to 40%. Visitors can also watch the ceramicists making ‘Buncheongsagi’. Furthermore, there are other programs that allow you to make your own ceramics or even write and draw your own artistic imprints on ceramics.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Goesan-gun)

The Goesan Red Pepper Festival is held during harvest season to promote the excellence of peppers grown in Goesan, a major production area of Korea. The festival has numerous programs, including pepper-picking and fish-catching contest (using the bare hands), pepper recipe competition, pepper cooking contest, and garden pepper planting. Brightly colored and full of flavor, Korean peppers are a particularly popular agricultural product. This is a fun festival where visitors can taste or buy Korean peppers, and talk with farmers. Gangwon-do(Goseong-gun)

The Korean War Experience Hall, located next to Unification Observatory, offers a view at the lessons learned through the tragedy of civil war and offers up the hopes for a peaceful reunification and harmony in the homeland. Visitors can get a deeper understanding of the Korean War and the hardships it led to through the videos, materials, and relics on display in this hall.


Gyeonggi-do(Yongin-si) , Yongin

Yongin Hobak Dungbul (Pumpkin & Lamp) Village is located in Angol Village, Neungwon3-ri, Mohyeon-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si)

Jeollanam-do(Wando-gun)

From the seashore of Yeosu to Hongdo Island, Heuksando Island, Geomundo Island and Baekdo Island out west, Dadohaehaesang National Park covers about 1,700 small and large islands and various rocks. In the park, the blue sky and the ocean blend well with white sandy beaches, adding to the picturesque atmosphere.During the Silla period, the King of the Sea, Jang Bogo established the maritime world and during the Goryeo Dynasty, the area was a trading path with the Yuan and Song Dynasties. Also, it was the battlefield where Admiral Yi Sun-shin defeated the invading Japanese navy. Likewise, historical sites remains in many places.Among those islands, Hongdo Island and Heuksando Island are famous for tourists. In particular, one of Korea’s greatest fishery grounds is located in Heuksando Island.


Gyeonggi-do(Gimpo-si)

Jangneung (장릉) is located in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do province. This is the tomb of the posthumously designated king, King Wonjong (1580-1619), who was the father of King Injo, and of his wife, Queen Inheon (1578-1626).King Wonjong was the 5th son of King Seonjo. He had deep respect for his parents and a strong affection for his siblings. King Wonjong’s third son was exiled to Ganghwado Island under a false accusation and ended up committing suicide. King Wonjong was shocked at the tragic death of his son and died in 1619.The surroundings of the tomb have been well preserved and landscaped, so visitors can enjoy relaxing and walking in this area. Geunjeongsa Temple is located nearby.

The theme of this festival is ‘soybeans’, a health food that has long been popular in Korea. In particular, the ‘Jangdan Soybeans’ produced in the Paju province have always been highly regarded for their taste and outstanding nutritional value and were even served to the king. Furthermore, in the early 20th Century, the 'Jangdan Soybeans’ were designated as the most superior soybeans in Korea and were distributed throughout the country.During the festival visitors can taste the soybeans and learn how to make dishes made from soybeans including tteok (rice cakes), tofu, and preserved soybeans.
