Jeollanam-do()

The Hampyeong Grand Chrysanthemum Festival started in the autumn of 2004 as a part of the city’s plan for making Hampyeong an enjoyable city all year round. Visitors can enjoy the fall mood to their hearts content with the many insects and various structures decorating the festival grounds. Over 2,000 works made from real chrysanthemum flowers are on display. The crowning glory this year is the 33.3m long, 8m high Gwanghwamun Gate replica at the central plaza. In addition to the beautiful flowers, visitors can experience a multitude of activities, including playing traditional games, making their own chrysanthemum tea, feeding parrots, and more.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geochang-gun)

The Geochang International Festival of Theatre, which opens every year with topics of nature, man, and drama, can be enjoyed in the beautiful valleys of Susengdae during the day and under the midnight stars at night. The festival is one of the many that are succesfully held by the local self-governing organizations. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Ulleung-gun)

Seokpo Observatory is located in Seokpo village, a small fishing town at the northernmost point of Buk-myeon on Ulleungdo Island. Ulleungdo Island has three popular scenic lookouts, one of which is Seokpo Observatory to the north. Created in 1905, the observatory was used by the Japanese through 1945 to monitor movements of Russian warships. Seokpo Observatory offers views of the East Sea between Ulleungdo and the Korean Peninsula. The observatory has an 8-sided pavilion with lookout deck and telescope from which views of picturesque Jukdo and the majestic coastline of Buk-myeon are available. The area is also nearby the 3 popular attractions of Gongam (an elephant-shaped rock), Gwaneumdo, and Samseonam. Below the observatory is Seokpo Resting Area and a trekking course connecting Seokpo Observatory and Naesujeon Sunrise Observatory.


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

The Gangneung Dano Cultural Center is located in Noam-dong, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do. The center promotes the Danoje (Dano rite and festival) of Gangneung. On exhibit at the center are customs related to ancestral rites, danogut (shaman ritual), and nori (folk games) to preserve the folk culture of the Joseon Dynasty. The construction of the center began in 2000 when the Gangneung Danoje Festival was added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Since its opening on February 19, 2004, the center has served a key role in helping visitors better understand the tradition of Dano. The center consists of an exhibition hall and a performance hall across from it. The exhibition hall has an exhibition room, a video room, a gallery, and a corner for hands-on activities. Also located here are the offices of the Gangneung Danoje Preservation Council and the Gangneung Danoje Committee, the main organizers of the Gangneung Danoje Festival. There is also a shaman music exercise room, so visitors can easily learn more about the Dano traditions from key personnel.


Gangwon-do(Donghae-si)

Jeollanam-do(Gurye-gun)

Located in Omi-ri, Toji-myeon, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, the Unjoru Pavilion was designated an Important Folklore Cultural Property on November 25, 1986. It was built in 1776, by Ryu, I-Ju who was high government official of the Sam-su Department, but only 63 of the 78 rooms remained today. The name 'Unjoru' refers to 'the lurking place like a bird in the clouds', which was inspired from an old poem 'GwiGeoraesa (歸去來辭)' written by poet Tao Yuan Ming (陶淵明).

Gyeongsangbuk-do(Cheongsong-gun)

Baengnyeonam is part of Daejeonsa Temple and is located opposite the temple. With crystal clear stream running in front and Janggunbong Peak at the back, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Baengnyeonam Hermitage. Although it unknown when this hermitage was built, it is said that it was named after the daughter of King Ju 'Baengnyeon'. During the Imjin War (Japanese invasions of Korea, 1592-1598), the great Buddhist monk Samyeong stayed here in the building named Songunjeongsa. But the building does not exist today and you can find only the site and the board where the name of the building is written. There remains some buildings called Sanwanggak and Yosa in the hermitage and also you can see the portrait of the great Buddhist monk Samyeong.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongju-si)

Punggi Station is a station on the Jungang Line, located in Punggi-eup, Yeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It is located 199.7 km away from Cheongnyangni Station and serves as the mangagement station of other stations in the Yeongju district of Gyeongbuk Headquarters, including Huibangsa Station and Anjeong Station. The area around the station is famous for insam (ginseng) it is easy to see ginseng sculptures and ginseng paintings to promote their specialty product in and around the station. Nearby tourist attractions include Punggi Ginseng Market, Sobaeksan Mountain and Buseoksa Temple, with many tourists arriving through Punggi Station.
