Seoul(Yeongdeungpo-gu)

Opened in 1989 and moved to Yeouido in August 2004, Viking Buffet is a buffet restaurant that’s been in business for 20 years. It serves more than 150 different types of Korean, Western, Japanese, and Chinese dishes. The place commands a panoramic view of Seoul.

Masan Place is located in a famous food alley near Seoul City Hall. The restaurant has been in operation for over 40 years, being most well known for their soegogi gukbap (beef rice soup) and modeum jeon (assorted pancakes). The latter comes with pan-fried oysters, seafood, and other ingredients. This dish goes particularly well with alcohol. Masan Place is known for being frequented visited by Former President Roh Moo-hyun. Since the establishment opened, the same cook has prepared its delicious meals. The restaurant was named after the proprietor from Masan.


Gangwon-do(Yanggu-gun)

First opened in June 2004, Yanggu Eco-Botanical Garden was built on a total area of 189,141㎡. 3.1 billion Korean won (approximately 3 million USD) was spent on the construction and it was built to be developed into a South and North Korean ecosystem restoration center. Located in the northernmost region of South Korea, it houses more than 400 rare plants including plants that are Korean native species and protected by Korean Ministry of Environment. The garden is divided into six parts by their features including Botanical garden, Natural forest, and facilities zone. In the Botanical garden, rare plants such as northern native plants and alpine plants that are naturally grown in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) and Yanggu area are displayed in one place. There are also walking trails, a medicinal plants exhibition hall, a plant nursery, and a greenhouse. Gyeonggi-do(Gwacheon-si)

Seoulland Character Flower Festival is a fun spring-time festival featuring popular children's characters. The festival transforms the amusement park into a colorful garden with flowers of all types. Children will love to meet the characters and ride on the amusement park rides, while parents will enjoy the chance to get out and learn about nature through the exhibitions and events. The highlight of the festival is the jungle-themed night parade!


Daegu(Dalseo-gu)

The tradition of lantern festivals started during the Silla dynasty and continued to modern times. The Colorful Merrymaking at the Lantern Festival in Daegu began in 1967. The festival aims to continue the history and tradition of the lantern festival.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Changwon-si)

Located in Gyeongsangnam-do Changwon-si, the Lotte Department Store Changwon Branch offers a refined shopping structure with various convenience facilities, a high sense in fashion, and a cultural atmosphere that presents over 2 million Korean brand name and imported luxury brand products. Store hours are from 10:30am to 8:00pm with extended hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It is closed for one Monday a month.


Gyeonggi-do(Goyang-si)

Located in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, Avatar Hotel is near KINTEX and it is a convenient place for guests visiting on business. As it is located just a five-minute walk from the subway, it's very easy to reach via public transportation. Nearby tourist attractions include Ilsan Lake Park, Haengju Mountain Fortress, Tongildongsan and Imjingak.


Chungcheongnam-do(Cheongyang-gun)

Kohwun Garden opened on April 28, 2003, following the collection, planting, and cultivation of a wide range of plants and trees. The garden is about 200,000㎡, and the half of the area is used for educational purposes. It is home to at least 15 rare or endangered plant species including Miseonnamu (Abeliophyllum distichum Nakai) and Euryale ferox Salisbury, in addition to nearly 4,500 species of plant genetic resources. The garden also runs education programs and hands-on activities for professionals and non-professionals alike.

Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

The Suncheon Citizen's Day Event is held at the grass plaza inside the Garden Expo venue. The event is held to celebrate the success of the Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo and to thank the residents of Suncheon-si for their support. Booths are set up at the plaza so visitors can enjoy the programs such as the singing contest, concerts, yutnori (Korean traditional board game), arm wrestling, jegichagi (Korean hacky sack), and tuho (arrow throwing). Visitors can also enjoy the various perfomances from participating artist groups, gukak (Korean traditional music) orchestra, and nongak (traditional Korean music performed by farmers) bands from the different municipalities.
