Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

Daemyung Resort Gyeongju is the fifth Daemyung Resort location in Korea. The Gyeongju location has a total of 417 guestrooms divided into two categories: Royal Suites (51 pyeong each) and Family Suites (42 pyeong each). In addition to being located in the historical city of Gyeongju, the resort has extensive facilities, the most impressive of which is Aqua World. Aqua World is an indoor and outdoor water facility that combines spa systems and treatments with water park amusements (such as an aqua play zone and wave pool). The Imcheonggak Pavilion was built as a home during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1919) because of one aristocratic family’s love for the scenic beauty of the surrounding area. The most famous structure on this property is the annexed pavilion. Imcheonggak is designated Treasure No.182. Thankfully this structure was untouched during the Japanese invasion taking place from 1592-1598. An autograph of the famous Confucius scholar, Lee Hwang (1501-1570), can be found hanging outside the pavilion.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Uljin-gun)

This festival celebrates Uljin's famous local specialty, snow crabs. Visitors can taste fresh seafood caught from Uljin's Hupo Port and participate in a variety of crab-related events, including a snow crab eating competition or fishing for snow crabs.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

The Gyeongju Springdome Resort uses 100% natural hot springs water, which comes from 750 meters underground. Families and couples can enjoy the hot springs all year round at this hot springs theme park, which provides exciting outdoor water facilities at affordable prices. The Animal Fountain and Water Spilling Pot are located in the outdoor Kid’s Pool along with a frog-shaped waterslide, perfect for little children.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Uljin-gun)

Surrounded by high mountains and cliffs, Wangpicheon Valley and the neighboring area have been kept unscathed for a long time. The area is now designated as Ecosystem Conservation Zone by Environmental Office, to protect the rare wild life flora and fauna.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongdeok-gun)

Chilbosan Mountain Natural Recreation Forest is located near mountains and the sea. The observatory offers a great place to watch the sunrise over the East Sea and is particularly packed during New Year’s Day. Two trekking courses on Chilbosan Mountain and Deungunsan Mountain are opened for hiking lovers and a water park site which utilizes water from valley. Its regional festivals held in the area of Chilbosan Mountain Natural Recreation Forest are Yeongdeok Sunrise Festival, Yeongdeok Snow Crab Festival and more.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

Tohamsan Mountain Natural Recreation Forest is home to various broad leaf and needle leaf trees, animals, and plants. It is close to Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Cave, and other famous tourism sites that make the area a nice natural and resting area. Cabin House is a suitable camping site. The Yeongju Hotel is located in Yeongju City, formerly the cultural center of the Seonbi, ‘virtuous scholars’ of the Joseon Dynasty who were dedicated to learning and courtesy. As the hotel is only five minutes’ walk from the bus terminal and Yeongju Station, tourists can easily reach the hotel by public transportation. In addition, the hotel is near such famous tourist attractions as Buseoksa Temple, Sosuseowon Confucian Academy, and Sobaeksan National Park, a’ paradise of wildflowers’. The local specialties include Punggi Insam (Yeongju ginseng) and Punggi rayon (artificial silk).
