Shoppers can now enjoy amazing shopping deals as well as a commending view over Seoul's downtown from 63 Square, located in Yeouido. The store had a partial-opening and is currently in the process of readying for their full-house operation. Hanwha Galleria, the operator of luxury department stores, is planning to launch its online shopping store in upcoming February 2016 (exact date TBA), adding more services for international visitors to have a pleasant and convenient shopping experience. The duty free shop also houses luxury restaurants and other food stores in addition to premium brands that were previously not introduced domestically.

Buramsan Mountain (불암산)
Seoul(Nowon-gu)

Bulamsan is an approximately 508m high rocky mountain, drawing the border between Junggye-dong & sanggye-dong of nowon-gu and byeolnae-myeon in Namyangju. The total area is approximately 5,355,396m² and was designated as a city nature park in 1977. The mountain is named after from the appearance that resembles the image of Buddha wearing songnak (headgear) and also referred to as cheonbosan and piramsan mountains. The ridge stretches long enough to enjoy the scenery and not too steep to take a brisk walk. In particular at night, the stunning night view of Seoul unfolds at the top of the mountain Buramsanseongji mountain fortress rose 420m above sea level and often used as rock climbing places. It also has a various hiking trails and about 10 springs to get fresh mineral water. Buram Falls are also frequented by ice climbing enthusiasts.

Teumsae Ramyeon

Opened in 1981, this diminutive restaurant has been attracting customers with its mouthwatering ramyeon noodles for more than 20 years. The restaurant’s unique ramyeon recipe includes an ultra-spicy broth with lots of red pepper seasoning, chewy noodles, egg, and bean sprouts. Even Koreans, who are used to eating spicy kimchi, sometimes shed tears while eating this fare. Besides the food, the ambience is fun, with interesting messages written by customers attached to the ceiling and the walls. The restaurant has created its own jargon that is recognized only by regular customers: ramyeon is called ppal-gye-tteok (spicy red soup with egg and rice cake), and yellow pickled radish is called pineapple, to name a few of the coined terms. The menu board lists the price of ramyeon as W30,000 confusing first-time visitors. But don’t panic: an extra zero (0) was just added for fun! TIP: (1) Take some souvenir pictures using the walls and the ceiling as a background (2) Try putting some cold rice in your ramyeon for an interesting, less spicy taste.

Iljasan Mountain Natural Park (일자산자연공원)

Iljasan Mountain is the tallest peak in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, providing the western boundary between Gangdong-gu and Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do. Iljasan Mountain is one of the best spots in Seoul to watch the sunrise. Located on the mountain is the house of Master Lee Jip (pen-name Dunchon), providing a good getaway spot for local residents. Lee jip was a loyal government official during the reign of King Gongmin during the late Goryeo Dynasty. He was forced to move to a underground tunnel in the southwest side of Iljasan Mountain to avoid entrapment by Shin Don, a person of influence at the time. While living in hiding, he took the pen-name Dunchon (meaning drawing back to the countryside) to symbolize the hardships he was going through. The nearby area was named after him, being called Dunchon-dong.
