Located in Gangnam, Seoul, Snowmounteen is an ice cream café noted for its iceberg-shaped ice cream dishes and snow white interior walls that bring to mind the inside of an igloo. The ice creams sold at Snowmounteen are thin slices of iced milk or natural fruit juice, free from artificial coloring and low in fat (containing about one third the calories normally found in ice cream). Another original menu at Snowmounteen is the Tapioca Snowthie, a tapioca drink that comes in flavors such as milk tea, chai latte, strawberry, red-ripe persimmon, and crunchy. The red bean flavored smoothie is the most popular drink of all. “Sachoom” is a nonverbal dance musical that can be appreciated by all generations from all countries, as it presents a simple plot full of various dance genres including hip-hop, jazz, contemporary dance, break dancing, and more. Since the first Sachoom performance stage opened in October of 2004, the dance musical has been seen over 1,900 performances to this date, and is still receiving high popularity. In 2007, Sachoom completely sold-out all of their performances in Japan (Shinjuku Face Theater May 1 ~ May 7), and Sachoom took the record as the most internationally performed musical production in a short period of time as it toured 32 cities. Sachoom was also the first Korean production to perform at the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe (August 3, 2008 ~ August 25, 2008), receiving international acclaim as it was nominated as a powerful musical.The nonverbal performance projects subtitling in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese for foreigners to enjoy. After the musical, audience members can spend time with the performers at the stage lobby.

The large space in the front is reserved for Mug For Rabbit, a terrace café selling various teas, beverages, and desserts including carrot cake. The store is good for enjoying shopping and casual food and drinks. The store offers foreign language service in English, Chinese, Japanese, and French during business hours. Shoppers who drive can use the store’s parking lot. The store is only about five minutes away from two exits of the subway stations: exit 1 of Hangangjin Station and exit 3 of Itaewon Station on Line 6. The store is open daily from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. all year round, but the café is open until 11 p.m. and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.


Busan(Dongnae-gu)

Dongnae Hot Spring in Busan dates back to Korea’s three kingdom period. Records show that King Sukjong (1661-1720), the 19th king of the Chosun Dynasty, visited during the 17th year of his reign.The hot spring offers alkaline/saline water with a high concentration of chlorine ions and magnesium. The facility can accommodate up to 3,000 visitors with over 40 baths of varying styles. For instance, there are baths for nerve pain or stomach disorders while others are filled with herbal remedies and operate seasonally. Located in downtown Busan, Dongnae Hot Spring will be even easier to access with the planned subway station. The hot spring has been frequented for many decades and has well-developed lodging facilities in its vicinity. Visitors who enjoy hiking may want to consider a visit to Geumjeongsan Mountain and Geumgang Park on the same trip.
