Jeonju Bibimbap Festival is an exciting food festival with the theme of Jeonju Bibimbap, one of the most recognizable local foods in Korea. This year’s festival, in particular, is hosted together with a variety of food events including Korea Food & Tourism Festival, International Fermented Food Expo, Jeonju Yakryeong Hanbang Expo, and Traditional Liquor Festival.The festival consists of fun programs: Mat (Delicious) Bibim, Heung (Fun) Bibim offering cultural performances as well as a food contest, Meot (Elegant) Bibim letting visitors experience food and other programs including a tour program to attractions in Hanok Village. Held in Jeonju, the festival offers the best of Bibimbap to both Korean and international tourists.


Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Seogwipo City's Pyoseon Beach is quite a large beach, taking up more than 150,000 m². During low tide, the beach looks like an elegant circle, and it becomes a circular lake less than 1 meter deep during high tide, and displays many different colors. The beach is a great place for children to play and for watching the sunrise. The sand on the beach is formed out of broken shells, and sand baths are believed to be effective for people suffering from neuralgia. Every August, this beautiful beach hosts the Pyoseon White Sand Festival, which offers fun and colorful events. The beach is equipped with excellent amenities (a campground, abundant parking space, dressing rooms and shower rooms) and surrounded by nearby attractions, such as Seongeup Folk Village and Jeju Folk Village Museum. 


Seoul(Gangseo-gu) , The Western Part of the Seoul

Hyanggyo refers to the educational institutions of the Joseon Dynasty. Much like the national junior and high schools of today, a hyanggyo is where the children of local officials were educated and where ritual services were held in memory of Confucius. The Yangcheon Hyanggyo Confucian School is the only such school in Seoul. Built in the 12th year of King Taejong of Joseon (1411), the school was entirely renovated in 1981. There are eight buildings in the premise, including the Daeseongjeon, Myeongryundang, Jeonsacheong, Dongjae, Seojae, Naesammun, and Waesammun. Today, a national ritual service for Confucius is held here twice a year: one in the spring and one in the fall. Also, various programs are offered to teach Chinese characters, calligraphy, or Oriental painting to regular citizens, as well as elementary, junior, and high school students. Gangwon-do(Sokcho-si)

Cheongchoho Lake is a lagoon that is connected to the East Sea, with an area of 1.3 Km2 and an approximate circumference of 5 Km. Located in the center of the city, the lake can be viewed easily from downtown Sokcho. Adjacent to Cheongchoho Lake, one of Sokcho’s 8 must-sees, is the Expo Tower, Expo World, and Expo Excursion Steamer. These were constructed for the 1999 Gangwon International Tourism Expo. The Expo tower rises 73.4 meters high with an observatory. An I-MAX theater is located in Expo World and an Ecology Park is nearby. Additionally, the Expo Excursion Steamer can be taken around the entire lake for great views of the surrounding area.  


Gyeonggi-do(Pocheon-si) , Pocheon

Bears Town Resort lies on the outskirts of Seoul. The ski slopes of this large leisure resort have been officially approved by the International Ski Federation. Bears Town Resort is a great destination for beginners; ski lessons are available, there are broad beginner slopes, and the comprehensive rental system allows you to rent all the equipment you need. Those skiers who are more experienced, however, will be able to enjoy the FIS approved 88 Challenger Slope. Bears Town Resort has a total of ten ski slopes and eight ski lifts, which can transport up to 15,200 skiers per hour. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

This is the Royal Tomb of King Muyeol (무열왕릉) the 29th of the Silla Kingdom (654-661). He allied his forces with those of the Chinese Tang Dynasty and unified the Korean peninsula. This large tomb is 114 meters in circumference and 8.7 meters in x_height. Natural stones were piled on the bottom of the tomb, and they remain buried underground. The monument stone is gone, leaving only the turtle-shaped base stone and the dragon-carved head stone. Carved in relief is the inscription “Taejongmuyeolwangneungbi” (태종무열왕릉비), which indicates the owner of this monument.


Gangwon-do(Wonju-si)

Located in strikingly beautiful surroundings, the 1.4million square meters Oak Valley Snow Park contains two beginner, five intermediate, and two advanced level courses. Each course presents a different theme, and the slopes have varying inclines. Oak Valley is a first-class resort complex providing condo facilities, a golf course, and various other subsidiary facilities. Busan(Busanjin-gu)

The Dongdaemun Market area has spawned many super-sized wholesale clothing malls that are spreading across Korea. Migliore, a successful fashion mall in Seoul, has also entered Busan. Migliore Busan offers a large selection of clothes and fashion accessories, but there are plenty of other facilities available that will keep you busy, such as a movie theater, food court, video arcade, music store, and bookstore. Migliore Busan is located in Seomyeon, an area known as the heart of Busan in terms of transportation, distribution, population, and entertainment facilities. The Seomyeon subway station is also the transfer station for lines no.1 and no.2. The station is surrounded by an underground shopping mall where you can shop for clothes, accessories, and cosmetics, while restaurants, theaters, and stationery stores are clustered around the Daehwa Department Store nearby. There are also many restaurants and stores for Japanese tourists located around the Lotte Department Store, which stands on the west side of the subway station. The wholesale clothing market sits on the south side of the station, along with the CGV Theater and an enormous outlet mart. Lastly, the Migliore Fashion Mall is conveniently connected to the Seomyeon subway station.


Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)
