Jeollanam-do(Yeosu-si)

Originally, it was an island, but now having installed the bulwarks of Yeosu Port all the way to Odongdo Island (오동도), visitors can simply walk along the breakwater. There are 70 species of wild flowers that flourish here, a hill commemorating the plantation of the very first tree and a spacious grassy field making this place great for ecological education.The Odongdo Island of Yeosu is one of the most spectacular spots to appreciate camelias. The camelias on Odongdo Island begin to bloom in November and color the entire island in scarlet until April the following year. Indeed, during this period the entire island looks like a huge camelia blossom. The promenade that stretches across the entire island is popular with couples. Daewangam Park is a seaside park located on the east coast. A 1-km trail goes to the seashore after passing through a forest of pine, cherry trees, magnolias, camellias, apricots, and forsythia. The seaside is littered with rocks carved into interesting shapes by the wind and ocean. Another stroll path leads to a view of the Ulgi Lighthouse. The park is also home to Daewangam Island, a large rock island that looks like a dragon rising up into the sky. It is connected to the mainland with an iron bridge and has an observation tower.


Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

Organized to promote the excellent qualities of Korea’s traditional paper Hanji, the previous Jeonju Paper Culture Festival was renamed the Jeonju Hanji Culture Festival. As the name suggests, the festival’s main specialty is paper, featuring all kinds of products made from Hanji as well as contests, exhibitions, hands-on programs for visitors, and a traditional market.

Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , The Eastern Part of the Jeju Island

Hwarang has been played for more than 800 times in Daehangno and as it reaches its 1,000th performance, the musical numbers will also be rearranged for a more magnificent show and traditional musical instruments will be incorporated into the performances.

The Iksan Jewelry Museum (익산 보석박물관) was established in the Wanggung Jewelry Theme Park (located in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do) to give visitors a deeper look at artifacts of the Baekje Kingdom and to celebrate the art of Korean jewelry.Boasting an area of 141,990 square meters, the world-class museum has a collection of more than 110,000 items including very rare gemstones and life-size dinosaur skeletons. Its comprehensive library of specimens and fossils (pterosaur, plesiosaur, etc.) gives visitors a glimpse into Korea’s distant geological past.
