Incheon(Ganghwa-gun) , Ganghwado Island

Ganghwa's mud flats cover about 105㎢, including notable areas in the southwest such as Yeocha-ri, Dongmak-ri, and Donggeom-ri. These three locations are a maximum of 6km from land and have an area of 90㎢ that accounts for 86% of Ganghwa's entire mud flats area.Ganghwado Island is the path to the river mouth of the Hangang River, Yeseonggang River and Imjingang River, so sediment moved from the rivers piles up and reaches far distances during low tide and the materials again settle around the island as the tide rises.Ganghwa Tidal Flat Center is a prime location for observing migratory birds and the surrounding mud flats. The center offers visitors access to an array of information about mud flats and first-hand experience with tidal flats.


Chungcheongnam-do(Asan-si)

Asan-si Hot Springs Special Tourist Zone includes Dogo, Asan and Onyang Hot Springs. When Onyangoncheon Station on Seoul subway line No.1 opened in December, 2008, the number of tourists who traveled here increased. It is said that Onyang Hot Springs is 1300 years old, which means that it dates back to the Three Kingdoms Period. During the period of the Joseon Dynasty, it was the rulers’ favorite spot for treatment and recuperation. Onyang Hot Springs has alkaline water and boasts high water quality and a large volume. The water temperature is 37~54℃. There are 200 accommodation facilities and amenities, including hotels, Oncheonjang hot springs and restaurants, which make Onyang Hot Springs the best place for recreation and rest. Designated as a therapeutic hot springs, Dogo Hot Springs is equipped with spa treatment facilities. The water park within the hot springs is popular with families. Near the hot springs is a station that used to be Dogooncheon Station, but today, visitors can experience rail bike riding there. Another spot to visit is Asan Botanical Garden, which shows off beautiful flowers even in the depths of winter. Asan Hot Springs has a variety of water park attractions in its theme hot springs. As the hot springs has soft water and contains plenty of minerals, such as silicic acid, sodium and calcium, it is said that drinking the water boosts metabolism and strengthens the digestive system. Daejeon(Yuseong-gu)

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) researches and develops technologies required to make high-tech airplanes, satellites, and aerospace rockets. The institute is not a simple promotion center, it is where actual research is done. KARI has led the launching of Naro, Korea's first rocket. After watching a promotion video in the auditorium, tourists are guided to the lobby in the main building to listen to explanations and look around the exhibits: KSR-Ⅲ, the world's ninth developed science rocket; Arirang-5, a multi-purpose satellite; smart UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle); and the spacesuit of Lee So-yeon, Korea's first astronaut. In the Satellite Test Building, visitors can see and listen to explanations about a satellite that is currently being researched and tested. They can tour key aerospace facilities such as the Launch Environment Lab, Orbit Environment Lab and Satellite Assembly Lab. * With the successful launch of rocket Naro, Korea became the 11th country to join the Space Club (a group of countries that have the technologies to launch a space rocket).


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

Located in the historic city of Gyeongju, Gyeongju Hilton features 309 Western-style and 15 Korean-style rooms, banquet halls of different sizes for various occasions, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Seonjae Art Museum and many more. Myeongdong 1 Beonji (명동1번지) is located on the famous Chuncheon Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street in the lake city of Chuncheon. The restaurant’s main menu is makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) and dakgalbi, both specialties of Chuncheon that are hearty and delicious!The chopped chicken used to make dakgalbi is 100% domestically produced and is served with fresh vegetables and the restaurant’s signature seasoning. Makguksu, another well-known local specialty, is buckwheat noodles served in cold broth with seasoning on top.


Busan(Haeundae-gu) , Haeundae

Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Honinji is home to a myth that agriculture and farming started on Jeju Island when the Samsinin (three founding demi-gods) who lived in Jeju married the Samgongju (three princesses) and started raising cattle and ponies and planted the seeds of five grains. There is a pond here called Honinji Pond (pond of marriage) where, according to the legend, the wedding ceremony was held and three caves which served as bridal rooms. Together with Samseonghyeol (three large holes on the ground where the three demigods emerged from), Honinji is a great place for tracing the origin of the founders of Jeju Island. In the summer, the area is in full bloom with red lotus flowers.  


Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

When the Gyeongchun Line, a double-tracked railway line connecting Seoul and Chuncheon, opened on December 20, 2010, it replaced the Mugunghwa train that traveled this route for 70 years. Built on the site where the train on the Gyeongchun Line stops, Gangchon Rail Park is a popular tourist attraction where visitors can pedal along old railroad tracks while taking in the lovely Bukhangang River scenery.Opened on August, 2012, the rail park operates from three stations: Gimyujeong Station, Gangchon Station, and Gyeonggang Station. The distance between Gimyujeong Station and Gangchon Station is approximately 8km and the round-trip distance to Gyeonggang Station is approximately 6km. 


Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , TheWestern Part of the Jeju Island

Jeju Racecourse is situated at the base of Mt. Hallasan, 450 m above sea level, with a great view of Baekrokdam and the ocean. It was first set up to protect the Jeju Horse (Natural Monument #347) in 1990. It is open around the year to provide space for excursions, picnic parties and exercises.Its main facilities are the racetrack made of sand which is 1,600m in length and 20m in x_width, examination hall where you can see the conditions of the horses before the race, spectators’ floors from 3rd basement floor to the ground floor, holding 3000 persons per floor, 100 monitors, 100 ticket desks, information desks and a free parking lot which can hold 2000 cars.From July to August, races are held between 4:25 PM~9:20 PM. In the vicinity is the Eoksae Flower Garden which is so beautiful that it is the subject of the “Jeju Eoksae Flower Festival”
