  NANTA! “Korea’s first show with Exclusive theatre!” What’s NANTA? The show is titled COOKIN'because of its simple appeal to the audience. In addition, the title allows for a more international approach to the show that is called NANTAin Korea. The figurative meaning behind NANTAis a reckless punching of a typical boxing match. Our NANTA is a non-verbal performance of reckless rhythms that dramatize customary Korean percussion in a strikingly comedic stage show. It integrates unique Korean traditional tempos with a western performance style. NANTA is a comic musical non-verbal performance derived from the traditional Korean instrumental performance “Samulnori.” The kitchenis its backdrop, chefs its main characters. Knives and other kitchen utensils are transformed into musical instruments in the handsofthe performers. They thrill the audience with acrobatic cooking shows, a surprise wedding ceremony, and an exciting dumpling challenge. The highlightof the show is a “Water Drum Sequence” where drummers beat 5 standing kitchenware drums with water and LED lights on it and this climax makes theaudience confused whether it’s drum or their heart beating.       NANTA has been one of the most popular shows in Korea ever since it premiered in October 1997, drawing the largest number of spectators in Korean theatre history. NANTA made its international debut in 1999 at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it received an award for the best performance. Sincethen, NANTAhas shown in the U.K., Germany, Austria, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, the Netherlands, Australia, etc. Eventually NANTA made it all the way to New York, premiering at the Minetta Lane Theater(off-Broadway) on March 7, 2004 and ran for one and a half years. Mudeungsan Nationtl Park (무등산국립공원) is a mountain at the edge of Hwasun-gun, Damyang-gun and Gwangju. Mt. Mudeungsan (1,186m) features three rock peaks called Cheonwangbong, Jiwangbong, and Inwangbong, also known as the “Jeongsang Three."Mudeungsan’s gradual slope makes it an easy climb for all. Locals once worshiped Cheonwangbong Peak as it was considered a mountain of God. Among the more majestic of these sites are the Seoseokdae, Gyubong, and Ipseokdae peaks. At the base of the mountain are several famous temples including Yaksaam, Jeungsimsa, and Wonhyosa. Mt. Mudeungsan is also known for its beauty throughout the year. The fall autumn leaves of Gyubongam and Eoksae grass of Baekma ridge is quite spectacular. In the winter, snow and ice on the mountains create exquisite scenery as well.Below the mountain, there is a variety of recreational facilities and tourists sites for visitors. This includes the Gwangju National Museum, a traditional Korean style building with exhibition space and artifacts on display. These items total 2,000 artifacts and include treasures excavated from the sea of Sinan, items from Honam province (made during the Seonsa, Baekje, and Silla periods), and paintings from the Joseon Period.

Therefore, please use public transportation if possible.   FAQ [Operation] Will the concert be held if it rains? Even if it rains, unless announced in the homepage, the concert will be held as planned.  Make sure to bring your raincoat if the weather forecast expects rain. For safety reason, you may not be able to carry an umbrella inside the stadium. [Operation] Are there storage lockers inside the stadium? There will be 3 storage lockers available in front of Gate A, Gate B and the Dongmun Square. [Operation] Can I take photographs or shoot videos? You may take photographs or shoot videos using simple tools. However, you are not allowed to use professional equipment (camera used by broadcasting program, use of tripod) to record or videotape the concert. If you do, you will be stopped. [Operation] Can I bring in foods or drinks inside the stadium? You may bring in water or beverages that are open. Otherwise, you are prohibited from bringing in foods inside the stadium. If discovered, the foods will be taken away and will not be returned. [Operation] When are the entrance and exit time? The entry begins in 4:00 p.m. and the exit is by 1 hour from the end of the concert.   Notice * Advance tickets for foreigners will be collected at the ticketing counter You need to bring your ID card (passport, alien registration card, copy of passport + at least one ID card issued by your country) Please bring it with you. Jeju-do is the place where spring starts first along with rape flowers all over. Seopjikoji in spring, especially April, is the perfect spring getaway to enjoy the spreading rape flowers with breathtaking coastal rock shapes. The best spot to enjoy the scenery is Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, shaped like a huge elephant, and coastal view from the edge of the Seopjikoji while walking through the field of rape flowers. The rape flower here features its bright and vivid color that goes well with Jeju’s bright sunlight and blue ocean. Seopjikoji is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju-do Island. "Seopji" is the old name for the area, and "Koji" is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land. On Koji hill which is wide and flat, there stands a stone Bongsudae called “Hyeopjayeondae” with a 4m x_height and 9m length and x_width that has retained its original form. Seopjikoji was the filming site of 'Gingko Bed', 'The Uprising', 'One Thousand and One Night' and other Korean TV dramas. Nearby attractions include Jeju Folk Village and Udo Island as well.
