Gangwon-do(Taebaek-si)

Situated in Taebaek in Gangwon-do, Chujeon Station is Korea’s highest train station at 855m above sea level. Visitors must pass through Jeongamgul, the second longest railway tunnel in Korea to arrive at Chujeon Station. This quiet, isolated station has attracted many visitors since it started operating the Fantastic Snow Flower Train tour in December 1998.Lying between Gohan Station and Taebaek Station, Chujeon Station offers the best of romantic winter scenery. Chungcheongnam-do()

Gyeryong Military Culture Festival held in Gyeryong-si, Chungcheongnam-do where tri-service military is located, features one of the nation’s most representative festivals, attracting about 900,000 visitors each year. The festival is considered to be unique as it deals with a military culture. It offers fantastic air shows, various military gear experiences such as repel, military’s zip-line, helicopter, armored car, and other devices, as well as martial music performance, other cultural art performances and events for visitors. Simultaneously, the Army Festival is also held during the Gyeryong Military Culture Festival and thus, visitors can enjoy both festivals at the same time.


Gangwon-do(Donghae-si)

Samhwasa Temple is located near the entrance of the Mureung Valley of Mt. Dutasan in the City of Donghae, Gangwon Province. The one-thousand year old, small but historical temple falls under the supervision of Woljeongsa Temple. It was originally named “Geukryeondae” when built by monk Jijangyulsa in the eleventh year of Queen Seonseok of the Silla Kingdom (AD 642). In 864 it was renamed Samgongam by the chief monk, and during the reign of King Taejo of the Goryeo Dynasty, it assumed the current name, Samhwasa Temple. The temple houses the main shrine (also called Yaksajeon), Jeokkwangjeon, Beomjonggak pavilion, Geukrakjeon shrine, Birojeon shrine, Chilseongdan shrine, and Muhyanggak pavilion. The temple is also home to national treasures No. 1277 (three story stone pagoda) and No. 1292 (steel sitting Buddha statue). Samhwasa Temple operates a school teaching Buddhism and offers temple stay programs providing a beautiful, serene experience of temple life.  


Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)

Located in Chengpung-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, Cheongpungnaru is the starting and ending point for pleasure boat commuting on the Cheongpung Lakeside. The ferry offers great views of the lake and its surroundings. In particular, the most popular course is the route between Cheongpung and Janghoenaru (장회나루) including Oksunbong Peak, Gudambong Peak and Geumsusan Mountain. Boarding takes place in front of Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex.


Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Located in the heart of Yongpyeong, a popular destination for ourdoor activities and sports, Dragon Valley Hotel offers a view of the entire town. The special exhibition of the Korean TV drama "My Love from the Star," which was met with huge popularity in many parts of Asia, has moved from Art Hall 1 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) to Ilsan Kintex (Korea International Exhibition Center). Both domestic and international visitors are welcome to the event, which is to be held at the outdoor venue of Exhibition Center II in Kintex. Actual film sets where indoor scenes of the show were shot will be open to the public, and drama props and costumes will also be on display. Also, visitors can take a virtual photo with Do Min-jun and Chen Song-i, the main characters of the show, using the CGI technology Chromakey, Timeslice, as well as the 3D video image exhibition. What's more, specially added features for this exhibition offer fans an opportunity to be a TV presenter and weather forecaster for a day, as well as trying their hand at producing a news program and soap opera. The whole exhibition gives visitors a chance to experience hallyu to the fullest.


Gyeonggi-do(Gapyeong-gun)

Jaraseom Island Auto Campground has been in operation since 2008 with the hosting of the Gapyeong International Camping Caravan Competition. The campground is highly rated as the best campground in the Seoul metropolitan area, offering outstanding natural views of the Bukhangang River, and eco-friendly facilities. Guests can stay in mobile homes, caravans, or at the auto-camping site. Amenities include public cooking areas, restrooms, shower booths, and laundry machines. The campground operates under a reservation basis, accepted over the phone or online. Nearby attractions include Nine Forest Ehwawon, a filming site for the drama "Iris (2009)," and the venue for the Jarasum International Jazz Festival, taking place every October.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Hapcheon-gun)

The Hapcheon Image Theme Park became a major tourist attraction after the release of Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004), and has continued to increase in popularity following the filming of additional movies and dramas within the park. Well-known films and soap operas include Seoul 1945, Fighter in the Wind, Gyeongseong Scandals, Meeting Plaza, Dachimawa Lee, Modern Boy and East of Eden. The park is one of the largest film and television studio sets in Korea.The theme park is located in Gahori, Yongju-myeon (Hapcheon) and covers an area of over 231,406.00㎡. It is divided into two main sets separately owned by the major broadcasting companies KBS and MBC. The section owned by KBS houses reproductions of Seoul landmarks such as Seoul Station, Chosun Governor-General Office, and the Bando Hotel, as they appeared from the 1930s to the 1960s. MBC’s set focuses mainly on reproductions of streets from Sogong-dong, Seoul from the 1970s and 80s. A walk around this major filming location will transport visitors back into the Seoul of yore, a Seoul vastly different from the one people know and love today.After a set is used for a film or a soap opera, the City of Hapcheon remodels and displays it as a type of exhibit, chronicling the area’s anthropologic development. In the future, the city plans to expand exhibits to include a facility where visitors can view a collection of historic military pieces.
