Yanggu Eco-Botanical Garden
Gangwon-do(Yanggu-gun)

First opened in June 2004, Yanggu Eco-Botanical Garden was built on a total area of 189,141㎡. 3.1 billion Korean won (approximately 3 million USD) was spent on the construction and it was built to be developed into a South and North Korean ecosystem restoration center. Located in the northernmost region of South Korea, it houses more than 400 rare plants including plants that are Korean native species and protected by Korean Ministry of Environment. The garden is divided into six parts by their features including Botanical garden, Natural forest, and facilities zone. In the Botanical garden, rare plants such as northern native plants and alpine plants that are naturally grown in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) and Yanggu area are displayed in one place. There are also walking trails, a medicinal plants exhibition hall, a plant nursery, and a greenhouse. Goeun Contemporary Photo Museum

Established and run by the Goeun Foundation, the Goeun Museum of Photography and the Goeun Contemporary Photo Museum are located in Haeundae, Busan and are the first photography museums founded outside of the capital city of Seoul. The museums aim to offer more cultural opportunities to visitors by collecting real and valuable works representing both Korean and international artists. The venue also acts in the discovery and support of new and up-and-coming artists. Goeun Museum of Photography has an exhibit room on the 2nd floor, as well as a seminar room and a photo library on the 1st floor. Goeun Contemporary Photo Museum has 3 different spaces for exhibitions, mainly concentrated on contemporary photo works.

Located in Dolsan-eup, Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, this 24-story-tall hotel faces the sea toward Hallyeohaesang National Park, and Dolsan Neighborhood Park to the side. There are 424 rooms in total, which come in three types of view at Full Ocean View with the view of Yeosu’s sea and Dolsandaegyo Bridge; Half Ocean View with a partial view of the sea; and Mountain View with the view of Dolsan area, and different grades of Deluxe, Premier, President, and Suite. The hotel also offers Glamping rooms, which combine the premium service of the hotel with an outdoor barbecue area, and Kids’ Rooms, exclusively offered to guests with children. Facilities include the lobby cafe, a restaurant, the highest rooftop lounge in Yeosu, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a zip trek. In winter (December–March), the Laterni Park Pool on the 6th floor is closed, while the Infinity Pool on the 5th floor remains operational with warm water.

Tamjingang River

Tamjingang River, 56km long in total, is one of the major three rivers (Yeongsangang, Seomjingang and Tamjingang) of Jeollanam-do Province area that crosses through the center of Jangheung-eup, passing Busan-myeon. It was formerly known as Yeyanggang River, but then later named Tamjingang after residents of Tamrado Island (now Jejudo Island) sailed down the river for the first time. At each river bend is a time-honored pavilion for taking a quality rest and enjoying the gentle breeze from the river. There are a dozen in total. The scenic beauty of the crystal clear water of the river stands complements the lush forest rocky areas of the mountains nearby.

Sigyeongjeong Pavilion

Designated as the top monument of Jeollanam-do, Sigyeongjeong Pavilion (식영정) literally means a place where even the shadow of the moon can find a place to rest. As its name suggests, this pavilion is set in a lush and remote forested area. Countless number of scholars and writers has been attracted to this pavilion as a place of profound inspiration. The pavilion has gained more fame from the legendary lyrics of Seongsanbyeolgok written by the poet Jeong Cheol. The elegant words of Kim Seongwon, a literary scholar, depict the scenic beauty of Seongsan Mountain during the changing seasons.Of all the pavilions situated at the basin of the Yeongsangang River the Sigyeongjeong is said to be blessed with a breathtaking view from the side. The current building was restored in the early 1900s. At the Sigyeongjeong pavilion you’ll find the Buyongdang, a monument with the lyrics to the Seongsanbyeolgok Poem, and next to it an old library building called jangseogak built to preserve the wooden blocks of Songgangjib, a book of poetry written by Jeong Cheol.
