21th DongGang International Photo Festival 2023  The Magical Unknowns We cordially invite you to submit your creative work to the prestigious 21st DongGang International Photo Festival, taking place from July 21st to September 24th, 2023, in the picturesque Yeongwol, Korea. ▲ DongGang International Photo Festival 2022 Curiosity, the desire to explore the unknown, is an inherent human need. The unknown may encompass not only what is completely unfamiliar but also what is presently disregarded or avoided. Often, uncharted territories have had the most profound impact on human history, whether previously unknown, unimagined, or simply neglected. The unknown need not be solely enigmatic or sacred. Whatever it may be, it holds its own irreplaceable magic. Those who are receptive to the unknown have the privilege of unlocking its mysteries and experiencing its wonder. Venturing into the unknown can be an extremely liberating and world-changing experience. What stories and secrets do the countless mysteries of the world hold? How will these magnificent narratives unfold? The sheer thrill of the hidden secrets and magic within the seemingly mundane and trivial can be utterly exhilarating! Individuals and collectives are welcome to apply; individuals should submit between 8 - 12 photographs from a particular series or body of work. Selected 15 - 20 artists including ‘Artist of the year’ (individual artist or 1 team of winner) will benefit from: A-year-long exhibition that exposures at the DIPF Festival - inclusion in art magazine, any related press (long term festival representation and promotion on official website, publications, catalog that being seen by a substantial number of visual arts professionals and the media) where the works viewed by an international panel of influential experts in the field of photography * 'Artist of the year' - solo exhibition at DIPF (production - printing, framing or related presentation material will be provided) and eligible for travel and accommodation to attend the opening.   SUBMISSION GUIDELINES   1. GENERAL Objectives DongGang International Photo Festival aims to feature a quality selection of photography projects from around the world. DIPF’s open call is devoted to offering a platform and supporting photography, showcasing photography and related media from emerging and established artists. Venue_ The selected photographs will be presented to DongGang International Photo Festival in DongGang in main exhibition space, outdoor space and screening at the opening ceremony. Dates_ The Main Program of 21th DongGang International Photo Festival will be held from Jul. 21st to Sep. 24th, 2023 Eligibility_Submission to DongGang International Photo Festival 2023 is open to artist from around the world. Chungcheongbuk-do(Chungju-si)

It is a place where you can enjoy a variety of dishes in generous servings. This Korean dishes restaurant is located in Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The representative menu is spicy beef soup.


Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si)

Located Hwasun-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Marine Park is the first national whale experience site with 2 above-ground floors and 1 basement level. It is comprised of a 3D photo zone on the first basement level, an indoor dolphin experience site on the first floor, and children’s aquarium that exhibits 100 species of fish local to the Jeju region on the second floor. Activity programs include feeding dolphins, experiencing being a dolphin trainer, dolphin swimming and snorkeling, diving with dolphins and prenatal education with dolphins. Marine Park participates in ocean animal transportation, as well as rescue and leading trainer business.


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Kalguksu (chopped noodle soup) made with Ongsimi (potato dough) is a representative menu. This restaurant's signature menu is potato nall soup. This Korean dishes restaurant is located in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do.


Jeollabuk-do(Muju-gun)

Located in Deogyusan National Park in Muju, North Jeolla Province, Dasup Pension is the best place to experience the clear air and beautiful nature of Deogyusan Mountain. Its front is dominated by the Gucheondong Valley, while the back is surrounded by the changing faces of Deogyusan Mountain across the seasons. The warm reception of the owners makes the stay much more comfortable. There are a total of 20 rooms ranging from double to triple occupancy to 12-person pension rooms. Guests can choose between traditional Korean floor bedding rooms and bedrooms. All rooms are equipped with a TV, refrigerator, dressing table, hairdryer, and toiletries. Pension rooms allow for cooking within the unit, making it an ideal choice for family travelers. The wooden finish of the rooms is a unique attraction in the pension as well. Dasup Pension also contains a shared kitchen and an outdoor barbeque area for guests, and amenities, such as a ski shop and a soccer field, which make the pension a great place for group trips. Guests can rent skis, snowboards, and other equipment in the ski shop during the winter. There is also a shuttle bus to Muju Resort, one of the most well-known winter sports facilities in Korea. Other tourist sites in the region include Bandi Land and Muju Meoru Wine Cave, which are located 30 min away from the pension by car.

Golftel of Yeongkwang Country Club is near Beobseong port in Yeongkwang Jeonnam. The view of Baesu coastal road to Golftel is fantastic. The sea and golf course are seen at glance over the window in the room. Also, the motel will provide the comfortable resting to travelers who use the golf club through the modern and luxury interior. Being the motel's auxiliary facility, the golf course is located in the place where rocks of fantastic shape, western sea, valley and lake are well combined. It is wonderful to see the western sea from the field.
