Chilgok Patriots & Peace Memorial is a memorial museum dedicated to the soldiers who seized victory by holding up a fierce battle at Nakdonggang River's line of defense for 55 days in Chilgok during the Korean War. The museum consists of a spacious 4-story high building with 2 basement floors and an outdoor exhibition with a variety of artifacts. Jeju Olle Trail - Route 18-1 (Chujado Island Olle) (제주올레 18-1코스 (추자도 올레))

Chujado Island is a group of four inhabited islands called Sangchujado, Hachujado, Chupodo, and Hoenggando, as well as 38 uninhabited islands. From the mountaintop, one can experience the beauty of the beach below. The path is located to the far northwest of Jeju Island and connects the hills of Sangchujado (upper Chuja) and Hachujado (lower Chuja).

Gimpo Hyanggyo Confucian School

The Gimpo Hyanggyo Confucian School is where the tablets of the Five Sages (Confucius, Mencius, Xunzi, Weng zi, Zisi), the Wisemen of the Song Dynasty, and the 18 wisemen of Korea are kept. The confucian temple had moved to Geolpo-dong in Gimpo before being relocated to its current site.

After Korea started to have a day off on Saturday, the birthplace of Jeongseon Arirang has been a popular touristic place. Especially in every summer, tourists from all over the country flock to this town for Jeongseon’s Market day It has been a must-see spot for students or customers using Rail-Ro.

Gyeongju Free Market Bonghwang Jangte (경주 프리마켓 봉황장터)

The Gyeongju Free Market Bonghwang Jangte offers many shops and entertaining events for night-time visitors to the Bonghwangdae area. Tourists can purchase special souvenirs or even make their own at some of the hands-on tents. There are also food trucks for snacks and busking performances to liven up the evening. Jangamsan Mt. Paragliding Field

Paragliders of all skill levels can find an appropriate flying program that will allow them to soar up in the sky and enjoy the beautiful scenery of downtown Pyeongchang and the Pyeongchang River. Only a 3-4 hour training session is enough for a simple flight. For more cautious flyers, there is even tandem paragliding (10-minute dual flight with a trainer). At the landing site along Pyeongchang River, people can also enjoy camping and swimming.

Baenaegol Valley (배내골)

Baenaegol Valley is located at the heart of the mountainous region affectionately known as the Yeongnam Alps. The valley derives its name “Baenaegol,” meaning “the valley of pears,” from the wild pear trees that grow in large numbers along the valley. The valley covers nearly 8 kilometers of land between the range connecting Sinbulsan Mountain and Yeongchuksan Mountain and the western range connecting Cheonhwangsan Mountain and Jaeyaksan Mountain in Miryang. It is a popular vacation destination in the summer. Also, many tourists come to drink the water containing acer mono sap, which is known to be produced in this region during the springtime. Baenaegol Valley is just a short distance away from downtown Yangsan. The valley provides an opportunity to enjoy nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The long valley is wedged between highlands, which results in at least two hours less of sunshine than other regions, so it feels cooler in the summer months. Strawberries are also widely grown in the area.

Soyangho Lake
Gangwon-do(Inje-gun)

Soyangho Lake (소양호), one of the biggest manmade lakes in Korea, along with Chungjuho Lake (충주호), was created in 1973 when the world’s fourth largest dam, Soyang Dam, standing 123 meters high, was constructed. The 60-kilometer watercourse connecting Chuncheon and Inje is a route along which you can enjoy the beautiful hills and streams of Naeseorak. In the Inje section, upstream of the lake, there are various species of fish such as carp, crusian, leather carp, mandarin fish and pond smelt, attracting many tourists and fisherman. Fishing spots are found in areas such as Gunchukgyo Bridge, Bupyeong, Gwandae-ri, and Sangsunaeri Fishing Pier. Also, from December and March when a portion of the lake near Gunchukgyo Bridge freezes, you can bore holes through the ice sheet and enjoy ice-fishing for pond smelt.
