Chungcheongnam-do(Boryeong-si)

With a mystical path cutting into the ocean and a beautiful site to watch the stunning sunset, Muchangpo Beach is one of the first man-made beaches on the western coastline.The beach has a x_width of about 50m and a length of 1.5 km. The depth of the water is about 1m~2m and the water remains at a pleasant 22 degrees Celsius. Along the gently sloping beach is a vast pine tree forest, providing a relaxing place to enjoy the fresh waters and cool shade.During the tides of the summer season, you can witness a miraculous phenomenon where a road seems to emerge from the depths of the ocean, similar to how Moses parted the Red Sea. This happens near the embankments of the beach that extend to about 1.5 km, and occurs only twice a year during the high tide season on the lunar calendar.Furthermore, about a 20-minute drive away, is the Daechun seaport where fresh and delicious seafood and cooked crab meals can be bought at a cheap price.The Mysterious Sea-Parting ExperienceAt the Muchang-po observation tower, which is located on top of a hill 50m away from the Muchang-po entrance, you can observe the spectacular view of the mysterious sea-parting phenomenon.The sea-parting phenomenon, which happens on the 15th and 30th of July on the Lunar Calendar, is accompanied by various activities such as the clam hunting and arm wrestling competitions, as well as traditional Korean folk games.


Busan(Dongnae-gu)

Dongnaeeupsong Fortress Site is a representative fortress that combined the mountain and flatland. Built around late Goryo and early Joseon period, the fortress was a fierce battleground during Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. After the battle the fortress was abandoned until being renovated in 1731, making the fortress bigger than before. The fortress had many gates with additional half circle rock wall to protect the gate. During the Japanese occupation, most of the wall was damage with only the walls along Naansan Mountain remaining. After year 2000, Busan-si has attempted to excavate the remains and conserve and restore the fortress site.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

Jeollanam-do(Gangjin-gun)

Gaudo Island is the only populated island of the eight islands in Gangjinman Bay. The name, meaning "cow head," comes from its appearance when seen from Boeunsan Mountain. The island is connected to the mainland on both sides by hanging bridges. The island also features a 2.5 km-long trekking course that showcases the beautiful environment of both the mountains and the ocean.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Namhae-gun)

Sinbulsan County Park is located in parts of the Sangbuk and Samnam districts of Ulju (County). The massive area encompasses 11.66 square km and is home to one of the most impressive peaks in the Yeongnam mountain range found in the southeast of Korea. The park’s hiking trails interconnect with those of neighboring Gangwolsan and Yeongchwisan Mountains and attract a large number of hikers year-round. Near the peak of Silbulsan Mountain sits a fortress with breathtaking views of silver grass. Water starts high above the clouds at Danjobong Peak and trickles down through streams and waterfalls to join the deep mountain valleys. One of the better known attractions in Silbulsan Mountain is Hongryu Falls which offers impressive views from its gentle cliffs. Also nearby the mountain are Deungeok Hot Springs and a number of restaurants for hikers to visit and enjoy after a full day on the mountain.  


Gyeonggi-do(Bucheon-si) , Bucheon

Reflected by the outstanding performance of Korean archers at recent Olympic games, Koreans have an esteemed reputation for their skills in archery and craftsmanship. But this undoubted skill has historical precedent, as bows were an important weapon of war throughout Korean history. The Bucheon Bow Museum (부천 활박물관) was established to show visitors the spirit of the Korean archery, and demonstrate its ancestral traditions of bowyer craftsmanship. The museum houses traditional bows (gukgung, 국궁), which are considered, prized cultural pieces, and have been made by a Bucheon family, which has fostered a lineage of bowyers across five generations for over than 160 years. In addition, the museum exhibits various pieces and articles such as gukgung, arrows, and other military technologies.

International Modern Dance Festival, abbreviated to MODAFE, commemorates all artists and the public community as our society’s “little hero.” The festival aims to encourage all who work hard and live on day by day, repressed by social circumstances and any unexpected hardships that may befall in the ever-changing and evolving world by presenting artistic dance performances and support to artists’ projects. This year, MODAFE performances will be streamed live online in accordance with the COVID-19 social distancing measures. Instead of the annual MOS event usually held at Marronnier Park, the festival invites viewers to participate in an online event via social media.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Uljin-gun)

At the Baegam Hot Springs Special Tourist Zone, visitors can enjoy both the lush mountain terrain of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range and the magnificent scenery of the East Sea. The hot springs of Baegam are one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region and are visited by travelers from across the nation. The water temperature reaches as high as 53 degrees Celsius and contains various minerals and elements, including a strong alkaline content. This makes the water effective in treating neuralgia, arthritis and apoplexy. Recently, it was reported that the water is also beneficial for those with atopic dermatitis, thereby attracting the elderly and families. Recreational facilities for children are also available. The hot springs are located at the foot of the 1,004-meter-high Baegamsan Mountain. The mountain trails lead to Yeongyang and Bonghwa and are frequented by hikers. Densely covered with pine trees, the mountain also has plenty of deep valleys. Sinseon Valley, where, according to legend a dragon once lived, has an abundance of water flowing in different directions. The Baegam Hot Springs Festival takes place annually in early August. On weekends during the festival period, visitors can enjoy street performances and other programs. In the vicinity are Jukbyeon Port and Hupo Port, which are known for snow crabs, and Mangyangjeong Pavilion and Wolsongjeong Pavilion where one can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea.
