Daejeon(Daedeok-gu)

Daecheongho Lake is a man-made lake, stretching across Cheongju-si, Okcheon-gun, and Boeun-gun. Construction began in 1975 and finished in 1980, and the lake supplies water for various use to people in Daejeon and Cheongju.The reservoir water spans an area of over 72.8㎢ with a length of 80km, and the water kept in storage has a volume of 1.5 billion tons, makes the reservoir the 3rd largest lake in Korea. The area is famous for the beautiful driving course along a tree-lined road through the nearby mountain which has an altitude of 200 to 300m. Also, resident birds and migratory birds, such as white heron, can be seen during summer in the upper region of the lake.Upon reaching the top of the observatory, a panorama of the entire surroundings can be seen. Opened in 1998, Water Culture Center is comprised of a 3-D Video room and aquarium as well as a grass field nearby. Geumgang Resort, Janggye Tourism Complex (Daecheong Beach Land), and Munui Cultural Properties Site are nearby tourist attractions. It takes roughly 3 hours to look around the whole lake by car.


Seoul(Jung-gu) , Namdaemun・Seoul-Station

Also called Mungu (Stationery) Street, Mungu Shopping Center is home to colorful stationery, toys, and wrapping materials. Because of its colorful items, the center has attracted many Japanese tourists and producers interested in stationery and toys. A slew of camera shops on the outskirts of the center offer camera lenses and camera items not readily available elsewhere, attracting both amateur and professional photographers from Korean and abroad.


Gangwon-do(Wonju-si)

The main theme of Wonju Hanji Festival is “Hanji - embracing our wisdom and beauty as a wonderful cultural heritage” and the festival offers varied programs related to hanji, such as the history and making process, various uses, hanji arts and more. An exhibition of hanji art by international artists is on display. In addition, various hands-on programs such as making hanji, hanji handcrafts, playing activity with hanji, and night performances are prepared to entertain and educate visitors at the festival.

Korea House was once the private residence of Park Paeng-nyeon, a Joseon Dynasty scholar, that had been renovated with architectural features of an anicent court before opening to the public in 1981. The idyllic premises play host to a variety of cultural programs designed for experiencing various Korean traditions, ranging from food and arts to tea etiquette and wedding ceremonies. Participation in up to two to three programs at a time is possible with an advanced registration. Meanwhile, visitors may enjoy shopping at the handicraft souvenir shop or try traditional dishes at the restaurant.

Home Plus is a large warehouse supermarket that has 65 branches throughout Korea. The chain offers groceries and a wide variety of other merchandise at low prices.The Haeundae branch of Home Plus is located near Haeundae Beach and BIFF Plaza. This branch contains a large grocery store, a food court, various other convenience facilities, and stocks around 100 different brands of clothing.

The 330-seat hall’s acoustics, lighting, and stage facilities are all specifically designed to enhance the sound and experience of Gugak. It is the only performance hall in Korea where patrons can enjoy the pure, natural sound of Gugak without the use of any electro-acoustic technology.The Performing Gugakdang runs a range of hands-on experience programs including lectures on Gukak instruments & traditional arts and cultural activities for teens. With the combination of performances and interactive programs, the Seoul Namsan Gugakdang aims to increasingly give the citizens of Seoul the chance to personally experience and appreciate the beauty and joy of Gugak, Korean traditional music.
