Located at the Gyodong Housing Site, Gangneung City, Gangwon-do Province, Hotel Russo is a new concept of holiday accommodation that combines a boutique with a business hotel. It caters to all kinds of guests from tourists to businesspeople as well as persons with physical disabilities as it is equipped with a variety of rooms and facilities for the disabled. This eight-story building has 42 guestrooms, including Suite Rooms with a large terrace and VIP Rooms with a duplex structure, which are particularly popular. Each room features various convenient facilities, including a PC and a bidet, and is equipped with a beam projector rather than a TV, while the VIP and SUITE rooms are equipped with a home theater. In the lobby, the self-service bar serves a hearty breakfast including freshly-baked toast, tea, coffee, and drinks. The hotel is situated near to various tourist destinations including the main venue of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games, Gyeongpodae Pavilion, Ojukheon House, and the Express Bus Terminal, and the nearest bus stop is just 5 minutes’ walk away. Mubongsa Temple

Mubongsa means “A sacred place where phoenix used to dance,” and is a small and Buddhist temple. It is conveniently and accessibly located near one of the city’s top attractions, Yeongnamnu Pavilion, which has a spectacular view of the Miryanggang River, the bamboo forest below, and the park and the downtown area on the other side of the river. Perched high on the cliffs above the upper reaches of the river is Aranggak Pavilion. Take the flight of stairs from this pavilion to reach the famous Yeongnamnu Pavilion and Mubongsa Temple. Village 736 is a pension hotel located in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do with six private guest buildings. With Geumhaksan Mountain in the back and the Hongcheongang River in the front, Village 736 boasts a great view with a glimpse of Soeppulbong Peak of Maebongsan Mountain over the Hongcheongang River. There is also an outdoor swimming pool at the center of the premises, which creates an open atmosphere. The private guest buildings are located around the outdoor swimming pool, and the accommodation has wooden decks that create an overall well-organized vibe. Apart from the family guest building, all guest buildings are three-story buildings with a unique design. Upon opening the front door, guests can see a kitchen where they can cook. The buildings have private outdoor decks where guests can relax in the sun by opening the folding door. The living room is on the second floor. Guests can also enjoy hot baths during their stay inside a Hinoki cypress bathtub by the window. Lastly, the bedroom space is on the third floor. It has a great view overlooking the Hongcheongang River. At night, guests can also enjoy stars glistening in the night sky. The family guest building is a one-story building that can accommodate up to 6 guests. It also has a massage chair for relaxation. Each guest building has a private barbecue area. Guests can also order a barbecue set from the hotelier. Village 736 offers complementary brunch, including sandwiches, fruits, salad and coffee, in the cafe building.

Yecheon Samgangjumak

A place where people can see traditional jumak (small taverns serving food and liquor), Samgangjumak serves food for people who travel through Samgang Port, offers rooms for peddlers to stay, and provides poets with a place to sit and get inspirations for their poems. Built around 1900, this tavern is small but the floor plan is so compact that its historical value in Korean architecture is high. It also reflects the local history and culture of the past. The tavern closed after the last jumo (female owner of a jumak) Yu Okyeon died in 2006. However, it has been restored and re-opened in 2007 with a new female owner welcoming guests. The total restoration cost amounted to 150 million won (approx. US $140,000). Chuncheonho Lake
Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

Chuncheonho Lake was formed as a result of the construction of Chuncheon Dam in February 1965. The area around the dam has been developed into a recreational park with a camping ground, fishing spot, picnic areas, lookout sheds, bungalows, restaurants and other convenience facilities. The Chuncheon Circular Road lies along Uiamho Lake, and connects Chuncheon Dam with Uiam Dam. It has a fishing site, and a street lined with restaurants serving maeuntang (spicy fish stew). Its nearby attractions include Chuncheon Dam Valley, Satgatbong Mountain, and Jibdarigol Recreation Forest.

Hallyeohaesang National Park (Sacheon) (한려해상국립공원-사천)

Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park (한려해상국립공원) is a national sea park that encompasses the most beautiful stretch of Korea’s south coast, covering parts of Sacheon, Geoje, Tongyeong, Hadong and Namhae of Gyeongnam Province and Yeosu of Jeonnam Province. Its 510,323㎢-wide area covers Dadohae Islets, Bijindo Island and Haegeumgang. The Donam Complex in Tongyeong is being continually developed as a world-class marine tourist attraction. The sea-view of the Namehae section of Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park is particularly breathtaking. Here visitors will be captivated by the view of Sejondo Island, the Pipe Organ Valley and Ssangyonggul Cave. Sangju Beach, at two kilometer-long and 150 meter-wide, is the biggest beach on the south coast and is covered with silver-white sand. The pine forest carpeting the surrounding environment also offers visitors a refreshing atmosphere. Located nearby is 681-meter-high Mt. Geumsan, making the beach a place where vacationers can appreciate both the sea and the mountain at the same time. Other attractions available in this area are the 38 Attractions of Mt. Geumsan, and Irak Shrine (Historic Site No.232) and Chungryeol Shrine (Historic Site No.233) dedicated to the great Admiral Sunsin Yi.
