Woryeonggyo Bridge

Opened in 2003, the Woryeonggyo Bridge (387m in length and 3.6m in x_width) is the longest pedestrian overpass made of wood in Korea. Woryeonggyo Bridge harbors a tragic yet beautiful legend about a wife who made a pair of Mituri (hemp shoes) out of her hair in heartfelt yearning and condolence for her late husband. In commemoration of her pure and noble love, the bridge was designed in the style of Mituri. At the center of the bridge is the Woryeongjeong Pavilion.

Hwanghakjeong Pavilion
Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

Hwanghakjeong Pavilion was built in 1898 by decree of King Gojong’s. It was originally set up close to the northern wall of Hoesangjeon in Gyeonghuigung Palace for archery practice. In 1922 when the Japanese colonial government sold buildings of Gyeonghuigung Palace to the public to build Gyeongseong Middle School in the location, the Hwanghakjeong Pavilion was bought and restored at the current location, which is an old site of Deunggwajeong Pavilion located to the North of Sajik Park. It is relatively large for a pavilion, but the structure is plain and simple. There is a well behind the pavilion to the southwest. A rock behind the well has an engraved poem about eight beautiful scenes of Hwanghakjeong. Located to the right of the pavilion building (northeast of the building) is Hancheongak Pavilion, which has unique roof. To the west of the pavilion is Sauhoegwan Hall that was built with reinforced concrete.

Uireung Royal Tomb [UNESCO World Heritage]
Seoul(Seongbuk-gu) , The Eastern Part of the Seoul

Uireung (의릉) is the royal tomb of King Gyeongjong (1688-1724, reign 1720-1724), the 20th ruler of the Joseon Dynasty, and his second wife, Queen Seonui (1705-1730).King Gyeongjong was the first son of King Sukjong and Janghuibin, who was one of King Sukjong’s concubines. King Gyeongjong, who was born weak and anemic, died only four years after becoming king, without any great political achievements. As a results, queen Seonui became the crown princess in 1718 and queen in 1720 when King Gyeongjong ascended to the throne. She is known to have had a kind heart and prudent personality.Uireung’s tombs differ from the other royal double tombs in that they are not placed side-by-side. Instead, according to geomantic theory, one tomb has been placed directly behind the other one. The arrangement also shows that when making tombs, Korean ancestors did their best to protect the natural environment.

Jangboksan Sculpture Park

Jangboksan Park stands as the unofficial gateway to Jinhae at the end of Jangbok-ro Road between Masan and Jinhae. The store is shaped long, so from the entrance, displays are divided on both walls and in the center; the modern interior design and product display combined make shopping very pleasant. The display in the center is filled with new arrivals, brands on sale, and trendy looks recommended by celebrities. Foreign language service is available all day long. The store is open daily except on Chuseok and Lunar New Year’s Day. Parking is usually difficult in Myeong-dong, but the Platform Place, which is located close to Myeong-dong Station on Seoul Subway Line No. 4, is easily accessible by public transportation.
