Andong Traditional Culture Contents Museum is Korea’s first digital culture museum, exhibiting digital contents only, called 'digital relics’ (not the real contents). The state-of-the-art digital museum provides information as well as hands-on experiences with traditional Korean culture.
The Traditional Culture Contents Museum suggests a new standard for a museum. This museum is a counterpart to NEWSEUM (News+Museum) in the US and ‘Sigureden’ (a digital museum/exhibition center) in Japan. An array of activities includes ‘Click Traditional Sound’, where visitors can listen to traditional folk songs, a song for bier carrying, or dialects; ‘Virtual Relic Experience’; ‘Junior Old Story Talk Talk’, which tells theologies, traditional tales, and myths; ‘Hahoe Mask Dance UCC’, in which visitors can learn how to dance the Hahoe mask dance and make their own user-created content; and a ‘4D Digital Image of Gochang Battle,’ which provides a hands-on experience of a historic battlefield.

The museum introduced a new visitor-tailored RFID card system to provide visitor-tailored guide programs. A RFID card containing each visitor’s gender and nationality provides each guest with a customized guide to the museum.

The Isabu Leo (Lion) Park was established in memory of Isabu, a renowned admiral who served during the Silla Kingdom and was known for his pioneering spirit. Around 70 wood sculptures chosen from national craft competitions (held from 2008 to 2010) decorate the park grounds, which measure an impressive 27,930㎡. The park contains a year-round sled park and a bamboo forest and affords a magnificent view of the East Sea.
Hundreds of Baekje tombs are scattered across Buyeo. Among them, Neungsan-ri Ancient Tombs, which are close to Buyeo, have been relatively well preserved and are fairly large in size.The Neungsan-ri Ancient Tombs were the royal tombs of the Baekje Dynasty from 538 to 660 when the capital of Baekje was Sabi (now Buyeo). In the Baekje Gobun Miniature Museum at the entrance to Neungsan-ri Ancient Tombs, mockups and miniature tombs are on display with their cross sections exposed. Here, one can view all kinds of Baekje tombs including stone mounds of the Hanseong Era as well as those discovered in Buyeo.

Omisa Kkulbbang is a famous bakery in Tongyeong, the owner of which was a baker in a well-known bakery. The owner opened the restaurant without any name in the early 1960s after quitting at his previous bakery. He started making donuts and kkulbbang (bread filled with honey) using flour received from an open market in front of his home. Residents in Tongyeong became attracted to the delicious taste and they began calling the bakery "Omisa," after the name of the laundry shop located next to the bakery.Kkulbbang stays fresh for periods, even warm temperatures.
The Songsan-ri Tombs and Royal Tomb of King Muryeong (reign 462-523) contains representative relics of the Baekje period (234~678). The Songsan-ri Tombs contain the graves of kings from the period when Baekje's capital was Gongju, and it is believed to contain 10 such graves. Only seven graves have been discovered so far.The main attraction of Songsan-ri Tombs is the wall painting drawn on the number six tomb – it is the only art of its kind in the world, created from the way the bricks were laid to create the wall. The tomb is shaped like a long tunnel, the top rounded like a dome. There are pictures of fire-breathing dragons on the tomb. Only the parts of the wall where the pictures were to be drawn had earth coated on, and on that earth was drawn Sasindo, the Four Symbols – blue dragon, white tiger, red peacock, and black turtle.The popular Tomb of King Muryeong is the 7th tomb, and it is the resting place for Baekje's 25th King Mu-Ryeong and his queen. This tomb was discovered accidentally when installing pipes to prevent tombs number 5 and 6 from being flooded. Tomb of King Muryeong was found to be unusual in the way it was built and what it contained. It was built with bricks like the 6th Tomb, and many national treasures were found inside, supplying scholars studying Baekje culture with precious research material. There were 108 kinds of artifacts found inside, totaling 2,906 items altogether. Twelve of these artifacts were designated National Treasures. They are all on display at Gongju National Museum. Some of the representative treasures are the crowns worn by the king and the queen, gold decorations for the crowns, gold earrings, necklaces, bronze mirrors, pillows, and foot rests. Recently the tomb was permanently sealed off to protect the treasures. However, you can look at the miniature of the tomb, an exact duplicate of the original, in the basement of the Gobungun Building.
Silleuksa is located along a riverside village overlooking blue water and a spacious sand beach on the edge of the river running south, running from Mt. Bongmi to the Yeo River. It is said that Silleuksa was built by Monk Wonhyo during the reign of King Jinpyeong in the Silla Period, but it is not for sure. Silleuksa Temple’s name was said to originate from a legend that an uncontrollably swift horse was reined up by the power of god. Inside the temple is Josadang, the temple’s oldest building; Dancheungjeon-tab, a tower made of mud bricks; Daejanggakgibi; Bumjonggak; and at the heart of the temple stands Geuknakjun Hall (Hall of Paradise). Gangwolhun, located along the riverbank’s cliff, is Silleuksa Temple’s, one of the most popular sights for couples, where tourists can view the Han River in the south and its surrounding scenery.
