NANTA Jeju

NANTA has been running since October 1997 and is the most popular show ever in Korea. It also has achieved outstanding international success, having been performed on Broadway and around the US and the rest of the world. It receives rave reviews wherever it performs, and quickly sells out.Without any dialogue, but through the rhythmic banging of knives, pots and pans, NANTA (or Cookin’ according to the American name) tells the story of four crazy chefs who have been set on an impossible  mission of making a wedding banquet in just one hour. What follows is pure musical mayhem, and they even manage to fit in a love story! The show is based on Korea’s traditional garak (rhythms) of samulnori (traditional Korean percussion quartet), and can be enjoyed by the whole family.NANTA is currently being performed at the Gangnam NANTA Theater, with performances from Tuesday to Sunday every week.*NoteDue to the MERS outbreak, some performances will be discontinued until July 2015. Cheonan Three-way Intersection Park
Chungcheongnam-do(Cheonan-si)

The Cheonan Three-way Intersection Park (Cheonan Samgeori Park) was known as the Samnamdaero junction back in the day. The prominent gorvernors passed by this road and the humble scholars stopped by to take a rest at this place. The park was built to commemorate Cheonan Samgeori, which is famous for Heungtaryeong (a Korean folk song that expresses happy and joyful feelings). Cheonan aims to make this historic road a tourist attraction by planting weeping willows along the streets. Yeongnamru Pavilion (영남루), the gatehouse of Hwachukgwan House (화축관) (the guesthouse for Kings), was also moved to the lake. Various cultural events like the Cheonan World Dance Festival (Cheonan Heungtaryeong Festival) (천안 흥타령춤축제) take place in this park every year.

Naro Space Center, Space Science Museum (나로우주센터 우주과학관)

Naro Space Center (나로우주센터) – Korea’s first – is a launching pad for various space projectiles, including the rocket-launching of satellites. A ceremony was held upon the completion of the Center on June 11, 2009, making Korea the 13th country in the world to have a space center. Bracken is added to the thick broth, making the chueo-tang tastier. Their soy bean paste is also very good and added to the chueo-tang. The cabbages and bean sprouts add hearty flavor to it, too.
